This is the best VRBO I have rented. It is very clean and a great place to get away from the busy life we all have. The views from the house are unbelievable. I would recommend this location to anyone who needs some quiet time.
Beautiful view, very remote. The one thing I didn’t realize was that the two bedrooms are loft style so they are open to the whole downstairs. Unless everyone is on the same schedule morning and night, no going to bed early or sleeping in. Loved the fireplace used it every morning. The night sky is amazing.
Pictures don't do the inside justice. Clean and very enjoyable property. Not a lot around it, which is not a bad thing at all. Easy drive into and out of town. Great hosts and owners.
It is truly a great destination stay. Amazing views of the mountains and lots of privacy. Beautiful sky views as well at night. The aesthetic of the home is great and the amenities top notch. Everything from chairs to recline in to binaculars to view the sky with were available
This property is positioned perfectly to just stare at an amazing mountain view your entire stay. The house is setup perfect with all things that you’ll need for your stay. It really showed that the owners/management truly care about your comfort. The communication was amazing! Every question I had was promptly answered on the Vrbo app messenger. I will be staying here again in the future! 👍👍A+
An incredible view in a home with a beautiful ijnterior
I have been vacationing in Colorado since I was a kid, and the views from this house were amazing--perhaps the best overall view of a mountain range I've seen from a place I was staying at. We loved looking out the window at the mountains and watching the clouds as they came and went. It was so quiet and peaceful outside, and I loved looking at the stars in a very dark sky. (There are very few lights at night.)
The interior of the house was well-done and attractive. The kitchen was well -stocked and the house was very clean and full of light because of the windows. I think this house would be amazing in the winter with the views of snow everywhere.
The host gave us detailed directions to the house along with suggestions for hikes, recreation, and places to eat in Westcliffe.
Just a few minor issues--1) I only gave 3 stars for the check-in process because.the lockbox code didn't work. Our son happened to locate the key as he was looking around, or we may not have been able to get into the house. 2)4 stars for communication-- I couldn't figure out any way to contact the host because I couldn't find a contact number in any of their emails. If we hadn't located the key, that would have been a problem. (I looked again tonight and didn't see any correspondence, but perhaps I overlooked something.) 3) Lots of cigarette butts were left in a container outside and also in the campfire area......I think the hosts will quickly take care of these problems in the near future.
You should be aware that this truly is an open house. The upstairs bedrooms, but they are open where the ceiling would be. This mean there was no place to go take a nap or talk privately because you could hear everything else that was going on. For many people this won't be an issue, but it's good to be aware of before you come.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, and would love to come back again. The views are stunning, it's so quiet outside, and it's such a nice house.
My wife and booked this property for a week to have a secluded getaway. The mountain view from the living area and patio is unparalleled. The fireplace kept us toasty during the zero degree weather we experienced and even the floors are heated!
Roseanne, our hostess, was the best. She answered my few questions very expeditiously and came to fix the internet after a county wide outtage occurred. We couldn't be happier and will return.
This property was exactly what we needed it to be! Stunning views- so stunning we couldn’t even be mad when the natural sunlight woke us up early (there are no curtains)!! My boyfriend ended up proposing to me in front of the beautiful fireplace, so this place will always hold a special place in our hearts! :) thank you!!
The property definitely has a great unobscured view of Sangre De Cristo Mts. which was a blessing since our night sky was mostly blocked by cloud cover. The location was also fine with us since we day tripped from there and came back to relax in the open space of the interior. Really enjoyed our stay.
