Turn of century farm includes 35 acre of property and hosts 1 large home, the original barn, cedar log cabin, lakeside sauna and dock providing access to swimming , fishing and other water sports. House includes a screened porch, sunroom with sweeping lake and meadow views, kitchen , dining room , living room. Main floor has 1 large bedroom with king sized bed and adjoining master bathroom. Lower level has 3 bedrooms (1 king, 2 queen), 1 full bathroom, large recreation room with walkout to Patio leading to the fire pit, lawn and lake. Includes wireless internet , Star Link Satellite service, Direct TV App on smart TV. A true one of a kind family property. We grew up spending summers on Stanley lake. Annual Fishing Trip - 2024

This was our group’s second year at this location and we can’t say enough good things about the property and the owners. We had a couple questions when we first arrived and had answers immediately. We look forward to returning next year!

Wonderful Ski Brule house for 2 families!

We had a great time, the house was very comfortable for two families with teens, it was great to have 2 separate living rooms to hang out in. The house is conveniently close to Ski Brule, where the kids had a wonderful time. It was the only ski resort in the midwest open this Christmas and we were happy to discover that it’s a great place to ski!

Best UP Visit Yet

We come to the UP every summer. The last 6 years we have rented properties instead of camping or staying with family. This was the best one yet. The house was so much bigger than we originally thought, had everything we needed and more. It was the cleanest property I have been to. The water was amazing with boats, kayaks, and a floating tube for out in the water. The fishing was great! This property is secluded and in the deeper part of the lake which made it great for swimming. The kids had a blast and even though not all of our fish were keepers, we were always catching something. My husband is not a planner, but he said he wanted to stay here again next year. :) It was only 4 miles from the in-laws, which made visiting easy. Communication with Tom and his family was super easy with quick replies. So happy we chose this property. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Thank you!

Serene stay

The house and large property allows for all types of recreational activities. The canoe, kayaks, paddleboat and rowboat were available and ready to use by shore and dock. We didn't try the sauna but it was available! Lots of sleeping room. Comfortable beds, bedding and pillows. Lots of table games! Clean home! Everything you need is there! Close to Ski Brule. Nice firepit and lawn furniture. Washer and dryer available. Loved our stay and would rent again. The price is steep, but well worth every penny. There were only 2 of us and a small cockapoo. Multi families would be very comfortable...tons of room. Nice TVs too! Beautiful scenery...lake, eagles, loons, turkeys, deer....right in the yard and lake! Lots of outside lighting available at night. Wish this property was mine.

A little taste of heaven

Left 2 days early

Fishing was #1 reason for renting, owner lied about the boat being 17', actual 10' has now been changed, too unstable for 2 adults ,access to dock was 100 yd away in the next door cabins back yard. only TV was extra pay TV. Not forthcoming with answers is the same as lying in my book. Don't rent if fishing is important.

Family Vacation

The house was very clean and well-equipped. It was well laid out for our multi-generational family. We particularly enjoyed the screened porch overlooking the lake which allowed us to enjoy the outdoors in the evening without the bugs!! The property is very private The choice of boats, kayaks, and canoe make it easy to enjoy the lake and ,of course, the lakeside wood fired sauna is very special.

Double Spruce

Wonderful spotlessly clean house and property well stocked with bedding, linens, kitchen ware, and offers multiple outdoor leisure options. Highly recommend! Lake views and star gazing was extremely relaxing and refreshing to the soul. Thanks for sharing.

Family trip -Ski & Ice Fish

Tom, the property owner was a great host. We really appreciated his extra efforts in communicating with us about his property and offering suggestions about the area. Our family enjoyed our time on the spacious property overlooking the wooded landscape & watching the many deer run through, and overlooking the lake and enjoying nature in the north woods. My children and I spent our days at Ski Brule (3 miles/10 minutes away) while my husband ice fished right off the lake. The house was large and spread out and gave everyone there own space. It is an older home but well cared for. Tom keeps everything well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms. We cooked in for most of our meals and had everything we needed to prepare a meal.

Comfortable place , very close to Ski Brule and Iron River MI

We came up for a few days of skiing. The house is set back on the property with a great view of the lake. The long driveway was freshly plowed and cleared of snow for us when we arrived. The house was very spacious, warm and comfortable to hang out and relax in after skiing. The fully stocked kitchen, washer, dryer and dishwasher made it just like home. Plenty of room for families much larger than ours. Tom told us about the big hill down to the lake that could be used for sledding, but we forgot our sleds. Maybe next time. This was a great quiet place to relax in and Tom was very helpful with information and eating suggestions when we needed it.

Perfect place for a getaway

This place was perfect for us!! Out in the country, on the lake, not far from town. The property manager kept checking on us via text. Was very helpful. Definitely will rent again when we go back there.

Relaxing stay

We spent a week at the lake farm and had a great stay. The owners were attentive and helpful. The lake is beautiful and the unique features of the lake farm property created a most relaxing experience. We would definitely return.

Vacation with a view!

Beautiful home and property and what a view. Nice to have bedding and towels supplied. Extra nice to have a washer and dryer. Wildlife was plentiful, deer galore, turkeys, red fox, bald eagles and golden eagles. Lake is clean and for the most part sand bottom, great for swimming and other water sports. Kids caught lots of little fish, no luck catching the bug ones, this time. Plenty to do with out traveling to far, no more than 45 minutes. Had a great time, definitely would recommend.

We had a great longer weekend in Iron River. The house we stayed in was very spacious with everything we needed and more. Full equipped kitchen, bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms. Free WIFI was also provided. The house has a great lake view on his lakefront property. The sunny weather was a huge plus. We enjoyed our daily boating, fishing and just being in the water. Evenings we spent by the outdoor fire pit with a beautiful full of stars sky. The property is very close, driving distance, to the town where you have a big grocery store, good ice cream shop and ACE store if needed. We would definitely come back. Gem in iron river upper peninsula

There are so many good things to say about this rental. The house as a whole is kept very nice and is clean and orderly. The view of the lake is fantastic and we ate all of our meals from the screened in porch. They have a very nice Weber gas grill for outdoor cooking and the kitchen has everything thing you need to whip up delicious meals. The bedrooms are roomy and all have comfortable and clean beds. The WiFi works well and we enjoyed Netflix. The lake is absolutely fantastic and the kids swan and used the boats every day. We were able to catch a bunch of rock bass and small mouth bass from the shore or from the boat. The rental is very close to town so making a quick run to town for bait, grocery’s or restaurants is easy and doesn’t hardly take any time at all. I highly recommend the local coffee shop they make a fantastic pour over, I kept running into town in the morning to get a cup. We were also fairly close to national forest and waterfalls and managed to get some hiking in as well as a day trip to pictured rocks national lake shore I recommend getting an early start for pictured rocks. If there were any issues the owners were easy to get ahold of and were super responsive. I would Definitely stay here again!!!!!!!

The owners live in Massachusetts and visit annually . The owner's Jack and Tom are Identical twins and when the farm was originally purchased our parents set out to name the farm. The lower original house has 2 Large Spruce Trees out front and since we are Twins, well you get it. The name Twin Spruce Camp was coined and it has remained ever since. Why they chose this property

This Property has been in our Family since 1968. As young boys the owners Jack and Tom as well as our Sister and Brother, Mom and Dad vacationed every summer for a decade and a half until my parents retired to this lakeside retreat in the 80's. We have countless memories and hope you to will come to love the beauty and natural splendor of our Northwoods Lakefront property. We hope to find families that visit again and again to share in its beauty and create memories of their own on Stanley Lake.
