Cool and cosy shack with private lake

This cool and cosy shack is a typical house of the small rural village of Bolton West that has been entirely renovated for a confortable getaway. It just outside of the beautiful town of Lac Brome/Knowlton.

The property features a fantastic private lake with a large deck and floating raft/island.

There are also many acres of trails for hiking around the lake and further in the woods/mountain around that are private to our guests.

Ski vacation in Eastern Townships

We selected the cottage based on central proximity to the 4 Eastern Township ski hills. It worked perfectly as all hills were 25-30 mins away with Knowlton being only a few miles away to accomodate all our shopping. The cottage provided everything we needed, and we quickly felt very much at home. The home was clean, very spacious for all our ski stuff, and the kitchen was well appointed with every gadget imaginable. I definitely recommend the property.

Relaxing Getaway Location

This spot worked out perfectly for us (two couples). Location was perfect for our visit to Knowlton. Not fancy, but very cozy. Beds and linens comfortable, kitchen well-quipped, and seating dining rooms ample. Bonus to have outdoor seating and BBq and access to a pond! Exactly as described!

Beau chalet, beau lac

Chalet très propre, bien équipé. Les plus : lits confortables, des chevreuils qui mangent les pommes dans la cour, la table de pique-nique, le bbq, les vestes de flottaison, le paddleboard, les kayaks et le pédalo, la tranquillité du lac, la proximité de l’épicerie et d’une microbrasserie (Knowlton&Co). Mes enfants ont adoré aller à la pêche aux ménés et aux grenouilles avec des seaux. Les moins : le voisin bruyant (de l’équipement qui fonctionnait à tous les jours de la semaine, sauf le weekend où là c’était plutôt des motocross) et la proximité de la route où des véhicules passent à toute vitesse. Cela ne nous a pas empêché de pleinement profiter du lac et du chalet.

Super endroit!

Le chalet est confortable et bien équipé. Mais le joyau de l’endroit est le lac privé. Il vaut la location à lui seul. Nous avons adoré notre séjour.

Magnifique mais bruyant

Magnifique domaine!! Très grand chalet, super propre, complètement équipé. Super belle cours arrière, nous avons beaucoup apprécié le bbq, et le lac! Vraiment le fun pour se baigner avec le quai au milieu du lac! Le seul désagrément était le bruit des motocross sur le terrain voisin. Il semble y avoir un pit de sable aménagé pour les motocross. Parfait si vous êtes adeptes de motocross… très bruyant entre 10h et 18h les samedis et dimanches. Vraiment dommage parce que sinon tout est parfait pour décrocher et relaxer! Épicerie pas loin, microbrasserie aussi! Communication facile avec le propriétaire.

Clean and comfortable property for two couples. Two new and modern full bathrooms, well equipped kitchen and beautiful property with a little lake and trails to explore. Very close to Lac Brôme. This was our second d stay here and well be back!

Cozy Cottage

A quaint cottage with notable upgrades which makes it the perfect stay away from home. There was plenty of room for 5 adults, their ski gear, and enough space for groceries to feed 3 hungry 20 year olds!! The cottage was centrally located and felt very comfortable.

Merveilleux séjour!

Ne vous fiez pas au devant de la maison, les trésors sont bien cachés. Petit lac à l’arrière qui est un pure délice pour se détendre et se ressourcer. Hôte chaleureux et très disponible au besoin. Je recommande fortement! Mon chien s’est amusé follement!

Expectations were met

I wanted a place where my dog could run freely and play in a lake. I got both. The house is well renovated and comfortable ( the best bed is the one on the second floor on your left 😉). The small private lake is wonderful and has lots of toys to enjoy nautical activities. The only drawback is the noise from frequent truck traffic from the main road(30meters from the house), trucks going back and forth in neighbouring sandpit. The way to avoid that is to just spend time at the beautiful lake.

Great place!

We had a wonderful time here, especially with the trails and lake…our dog was in heaven. The house and property are extremely well kept and had everything that we needed. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, the bbq was great, and we also enjoyed the firepit. I would completely recommend this house and will stay here again. Thanks Martin!

Wonderful stay

Lovely cottage - clean, bright, with lots of room for our group of 3. All the amenities provided and host was very responsive. We loved the little pond, so peaceful with the forest surrounding it, and we took advantage of the kayak as well as the campfire. Quiet location but close enough to Knowlton for quick trips for fresh croissants. We had a wonderful week here :)
