Peaceful Waterfront Home on Large Open Canal, Pet Friendly!
Crystal River is the place to be if you love nature, fishing, scalloping, boating, manatees and a small town vibe. This quaint home is right on the water just off of King's Bay. You'll love the wildlife! See manatees as they swim around enjoying the big secluded canal right behind the house and dolphins churning up the water as they fish. Enter the water right from the steps in the backyard to kayak or for a refreshing swim. It’s truly a kayaker’s paradise! The protected area across the water makes for a peaceful and quiet stay. You can keep your shallow water boat at the small floating dock or use the various boat ramps close by to launch a bigger boat. The canal leads straight out to King's Bay and out to the Gulf for great fishing and scalloping. Fort Island Gulf beach and fishing pier is just 8 miles down the road as well. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, board games, kayaks, bicycles, comfy beds and fun, artsy decor.

We love staying at this house. Easy to paddle from and see the manatee right out the back door. Quick trip to town for dinner as well. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed the property located right on the river. Great location to head for scalloping and a nice paddle to Three Sisters Springs park. We docked our 18 foot flats boat right out side, without a problem. In the evening we walked our dog around the pet friendly neighborhood. The house was clean, cute and had a nice size garage to store gear.
This was a quaint, comfortable house on a canal right off the main waterway. The pictures are accurate and the host was very responsive. It is a lovely, clean, comfortable house.
Just spent the weekend here on a BFF girls trip and lived our stay so much. The house is on a very quiet street and calm canal. It was lovely to drink our coffee outside on the patio each morning and watch the wildlife in the river. Beautiful place.
So much wildlife to see right in the backyard. We even watched dolphins feeding on mullet in the morning. A variety of birds can be seen daily. We swam right out back, kayaked and fished. Caught a bunch of catfish using white bread as bait! The house was nice and had everything we needed.
Would recommend this place for sure.
Thanks so much for sharing your home!
Our 2nd time at this house and it is as peaceful and relaxing as we remembered. Highly recommend if you love nature and a get away from it all. (But still close to town).
Beautiful Home! Stunning location! Kayaking with Manatee a definite plus!
My husband, myself, my daughter and son-in-law enjoyed our 1st vacation together. What a wonderful experience. Our host Hallie was very welcoming and her home was spotless. She had plenty of games and puzzles for the one rainy day we had. Very close to great restaurants, manatee activities and shopping. Highly recommend this VRBO home! Thank you for hosting us!
We loved having the kayaks available to use right from the back of house. There were quite a few manatees and a calf. It was so cute. We went into town and walked around looking at the shops.
The house was the perfect size for our family for our annual scalloping trip. The cove was great to teach my youngest to kayaking. The place was clean and lots games for the kiddos to play. We loved it!
We were in Crystal River to scallop for the first time with two other couples. The house was accommodating for 3 couples. It was in a quaint little neighborhood with a nice nature view. Manatee in your backyard!!!!

Received text day before stating door didn't lock...I asked if it was usable and was told enjoy your stay. Arrived it looked great. At 615 am I went out in porch and came back in and sliding door collapsed in. Falling on the couch my husband was sleeping in. We called the owners and they sent out repair man. He reset it. Never hear from owners of 1350 n crescent Blvd until I received message at 5 pm saying our reservation had been cancelled . Then saying we needed to leave...now ...we are trespassing. My grandchildren cried and were scared for us. My husband's back hurt from lifting their broken door. They never asked if we were ok, they sent continuous messages, saying we were getting this free meanwhile we just survived a catastrophic incident with the door they knew was broken. Vrbo would not relocate us and I have yet to receive any type of refund. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN WOYLD NOT RECOMMEND...WE EVEN BOUGHT ALL THE INSURANCES JUST IN CASE OF ISSUE. I'M MORE STRESSED FROM THIS NOW THAN PRIOR OUR STAY.
We enjoyed our stay! The minute you walk into the home you see a beautiful view of the water. The house was very clean, nicely decorated, and many extras for our enjoyment. The home is in a very quiet neighborhood and just a short drive from downtown. I would definitely stay here again!
Home was beautiful, well decorated, beautiful location on the river. Kayaks and bikes were great. Amazing to kayak and then swim with the manatees. Would highly recommend and stay again!
Host was amazing! The house was perfect and exactly what I was hoping for.
We came to experience the springs, rivers, and manatees. Everything was right outside in the backyard! The local food and fun was only a short drive away. Perfect family vacation.
This house is perfect proximity to accessing the area by water or land! It was a wonderful place to wake up in and come home to in the evening after our daily adventures. We were delighted to have a Manatee swimming right off the dock the first morning we were there!
Peace, clean and relaxing home overlooking the bay. Caught many fish with my boys from the bay entry steps using shrimp with a medium sized fish hook two feet deep from a bobber. Had a great time. Thank you

I lived in Crystal River in that house for over 20 years. I adore that location and I know you'll love it too! I currently live in the Kissimmee/Orlando area with my boyfriend, our Golden Retriever Daisy, and our cow Lucy.
Why they chose this property
This house was originally built by my Grandparents and I spent many summers fishing, boating, crabbing, and swimming there as a kid. I moved to the house in 2000 and raised my 2 daughters there who also enjoyed the river life. It's a gem!
What makes this property unique
One of the coolest things about this home is that you have so much wildlife right out the back door! Manatees, dolphins, fish and water birds are some of the natural delights you'll encounter. It's protected across the water from the house so there are no buildings to distract from the peace and beauty as you sit on the back porch and relax after a day of boating or kayaking.
If you have a small, flat bottom boat you can keep it right on the dock and have it to use as you step right out the back door. Make sure you follow the tides closely however, because there are rocks back there at low tide. If you have a bigger boat there are public boat ramps within minutes from the house. Travel down the road, launch your boat and be out in the Gulf before you know it. Scallop season is big in Crystal River and you could be heading home with a bucket of fresh caught scallops to grill on the back porch.
Downtown Crystal River has some cute shops and delicious restaurants if you decide to take a break from the water or just want to grab a bite to eat before driving down to Fort Island Trail beach to watch the sunset.
