Lula's Lookout is located in the scenic Grand View Resort near downtown Pigeon Forge (6 miles to The Island), Dollywood (9 miles), and a short drive to historic Gatlinburg (14 miles). Our location just outside of Pigeon Forge means no dealing with Parkway traffic before you get settled in!

MAIN LEVEL

From the moment you enter, you'll have that authentic log cabin feel with the soaring cathedral ceiling, numerous windows, and natural wood accents throughout. The main floor is a spacious, open layout and a great gathering space for your Smoky Mountain vacation. Smart TV, a full-sized pool table, electric fireplace, comfortable furniture, and kitchen with its unique stainless steel-wrapped breakfast bar and counters are just some of the features to enjoy. There's ample dining space for six to enjoy your home cooked meals as well. The desk and complimentary high speed WiFi are the perfect amenities to squeeze in some last minute school or office work.

Enjoy the treetop views from one of our wooden rockers on the covered deck just off of the living room. It's a great place to unwind after a long day of sightseeing or while you wait for dinner to cook on the propane gas grill.

The main floor also has a full bath with shower, located just to the right as you walk in the front door.

LOWER LEVEL

Follow the beautiful log railings down the stairs and you'll find the two bedrooms. Handmade log beds and furniture create the perfect rustic atmosphere for a restful night's sleep. The stairs open into the first bedroom, which has a queen size canopy bed as well as twin bunk beds. Both beds are in the same room, so it's a perfect place to put the little ones down in the bunks while the grown-ups enjoy a few games of pool upstairs. This room also has a closet with a stacked washer/dryer unit.

Head out to the covered lower level deck (accessible from both lower level bedrooms) for maximum relaxation in our hot tub or to hang out on the wood rocking chairs.

The master bedroom is accessed through a door in the queen/bunk room, so you do have to walk by those beds to get to it. After a day of hiking or hustling through Dollywood, you'll find the setup to be quite convenient!

You'll love the rustic décor, king-sized canopy bed, additional deck access, and private soaking tub this bedroom offers. The second full bath is located here as well, with its spacious, walk-in shower and granite vanity top.

Grand View Resort is home to the fabulous Wahoo Ziplines, where our guests can take advantage of a 50% discount! We have open parking for two vehicles and just a few steps up to our front porch.

Long weekend

We enjoyed our time here. Owner got in touch with us quickly when we had an issue with a.c. and was very attentive. We were able to explore downtown Gatlinburg, Tuckaleechee Caverns, and the mountains. The cabin was a nice place to come home to each evening. Plenty of space to relax and the family loved the pool table. Everything you need for a fun time away.

Great little spot in the hills!!

Just like the title says, great little spot in the hills, cabin has plenty of room and sleeping arrangements, host was very attentive to my questions. It’s close enough yet far enough away to feel away. Definitely recommend!!!

Loved lulus

We rented lulus lookout as a 30th anniversary get away. The cabin was clean and comfortable we plays pool, used the hot tob to relax after a daybof sight seeing in Gatlinburg. The communication withthe owner was great, Nick was responsive and even accommodated a small change in arrival time for us. Over 5 star experience.

Stay at Lula’s Lookout

Overall our stay was good. Very close to town, easy to find with access to many back roads to skip the traffic. Cabin was very nice and spacious upstairs but a little cramped down stairs. Close to other cabins however we didn’t notice once we were inside. Cabin was very clean and was just like photos. Nick was also very prompt with communication prior and during our stay.

Our family had the best stay at the cabin. It was in a fun location - felt up in the mountains but a short drive to all of the action. Great spot for a Great Smoky Mountain vacation!

Convenient Comfortable Cabin

The cabin was beautiful. It is in a lovely community. It is conveniently located near Pigeon Forge and Sevierville and a short drive to Gatlinburg. It had what we needed in the kitchen for cooking. We had a little glitch with the grill and the property manager responded in a timely manner concerning the problem and offered to fix it. If you like frozen custard be sure to stop by Cussin Custard. The wine trails in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge were a lot of fun! I would rerecommend this property.

Cabin fever 🥵

The cabin is lovely and the area as described. Convenient to everything. I enjoyed the pool that was easily in walking distance. The disappointment came when the AC unit could not keep up with cooling the cabin and it was 80 degrees during the day and very uncomfortable. The owner knew about this previously and no accommodations were made. Other than that issue it was an enjoyable trip. Loved the area!

Perfect vacation cabin

We had a fabulous time staying at Lulas Lookout! Beautiful views of the Smokey’s, a short trip into Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg! (15 minutes) Cabin was stocked with all the amenities you would need for your stay!

Clean property, best for families

The cabin was clean and decently equipped. The property manager was great and very responsive to the minor issue we had during our stay. It was a short 15-20 min drive to Pigeon Forge without any steep roads. Overall it is a nice place. We typically don't stay in the Gatlinburg area and were suprised at the pricing of the properties and amenities compared to other areas in the Smoky Mountains. The beds were OK, very firm. The biggest surprise was the layout of the bedroom(s). To enter the master bedroom you have to walk through the room with the bunk beds. Since we were staying with friends the room configuration was a bit awkward when it came to privacy, quiet, and trying not to wake each other up. If you are not sharing the lower floor bathroom (in the master bedroom) then the group staying in the bunk room have to go upstairs for their bathroom as well. If this layout isn't an issue for your party then this is a good rental, however if I understood this from the listing I would have booked elsewhere.

About the host

Hosted by Nick

My wife Kristina, daughters Lula and Hattie, and I are excited to share our beautiful vacation rentals and we look forward to hosting you! Our goal is to provide you with a clean and comfortable stay during your Smoky Mountain vacation with that "home away from home" feel. We take a lot of pride in maintaining our cabins and aim to provide a seamless guest experience. We're always available to answer any questions you may have before, during, and even after your stay.

It only took a couple of visits to east Tennessee for us to fall in love with the area. We love visiting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, so we decided to invest in properties that we could also share with others. It started out with our four bedroom cabin in Sevierville in 2019, which opened to great reviews.

Our cabins are self-managed, meaning there's no middle man relied upon to take care of any maintenance or upkeep, and no extra management fees. We vet all of the work done to our cabins to make sure jobs are completed thoroughly. If for some reason an issue does arise during your stay, you will be able to contact us directly so that we can make it right.

Beyond managing cabins, Nick is a Coast Guard Reservist and likes to play outside around the property. Kristina works for a local school district, likes to travel, and enjoys family time as much as Dad does. Between two little ones, two ponies, and several chickens, there's never a dull moment in our household! We usually come to East Tennessee at least quarterly to stay at one of our properties and often bring along family and friends. There's always something new to see or do in the area, especially with the change of seasons.
