DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
Welcome to Florida's amazing Okaloosa Island. Waters Edge 213 is a lovely, beachfront vacation rental which sleeps a family of 4-6. The private balcony overlooks one of the largest single pools on Okaloosa Island, with an awesome direct view of the ocean. The sugar-white sands of Destin's Emerald Coast are unique to the Florida Panhandle, making this the perfect tropical getaway for you and your family.

The amenities of Waters Edge unit 213 provide everything that your family will need. The unit is carpeted, with tile floors in the kitchen and bathrooms. The spacious living room is great for relaxing and has an awesome view of the ocean. There is enough seating for everyone. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need to prepare and enjoy your meals as you would at home.

There are TVs and DVD players in the living room and bedroom. The master has a queen bed, there is a queen sleeper sofa, and there are bunk beds located in the hallway for extra sleeping space when needed.

ABOUT THE AREA:
Okaloosa Island is part of a 30 mile stretch of continuous natural sand barrier. This area offers beautiful scenery for family photos and plenty of activities for your daily enjoyment. The ocean here is typically as clear as any water can be, with an emerald green color unique to this small area. The sands are pure white and powdery, like sugar, and the beaches are kept emaculately clean and safe by wonderful Okaloosa County authorities. There is plenty of fun right here on the island, from putt putt golf, to outdoor grills to fine dining and night life. We have a fishing pier just a mile away, which is also the home of the original Gulfarium Dolphin Exhibit. Take the kids to the Gulfarium to see dolphins perform, as well as their friends the walrus, sea lions, and penguins. They'll love it.

Okaloosa Island is located within Fort Walton Beach and near world famous Destin. Destin, a beautiful 10 minute drive to the East, where she will meet you with a picturesque view of the Destin Harbor at Harbor Walk Village. Destin is home to the largest private Gulf Fishing Fleet and busiest charter deep sea fishing fleet in the Southeast. If you are interested in good seafood, then just pick one of Destin's many dockside grills for a taste of the day's fresh catch.

The more adventurous may enjoy a jet ski dolphin tour, or a parasailing adventure. You may also find bungee jumping, go karting, golf, putt putt golf, water theme parks, outlet shopping and much more. Bring your family to our beautiful coastline, and take home memories of a lifetime.

Great Condo!

The condo is in the perfect spot- ocean view, seconds from the pool/ocean. Condo was clean and had everything we need. Would stay in this condo again! My only complaint was the bed was slightly uncomfortable and noisy. Other than that a great stay!

Family vaca

The condo was fine. It definitely needs an update. Couch cushions were terribly stained on one side and it appeared the cleaning crew just flipped them to not show those spots. Walls could use a good cleaning and paint. It was fine for a family of 5 as we weren’t in the room often. I had to book last minute due to sports so I had to get what was available.

Spring Break 2023

We enjoyed the washer/dryer and full kitchen access. Entering the room the moldy/mildew smell about knocked us down. There appeared to be several water leaks by looking at the water stains on the ceiling throughout the unit. The couch was very uncomfortable to sit and try to sleep on, the springs felt like they were in your back.. One cabinet in the kitchen had trash in it and the unit appeared to be outdated.

Family vacation

The property we originally booked had a last minute repair leaving us only a few days to figure out what to do. The property manager was wonderful in helping find another available place (this one), and negotiated on our behalf to allow us to transfer without the upgrade price. The location was great- close to everything, walking distance to the pier, directly on the beach, etc. We had planned on cooking most meals, and this kitchen was more than stocked with all appliances and utensils needed! The washer and dryer were perfect for keeping me from bringing home dirty laundry! Will definitely consider this place again for future visits!

Couldn't complain

Beach chair service was great! Our door lock broke while there and the manager came on a Sunday within 30 min to fix it. The room was average but no real complaints. Overall it was a good stay. The parking deck access and staircase design is questionable and it made parking feel like you were too close to car or columns. The grounds were kept to perfection and everything stayed clean for sure! If you have small kids their small pool is great for them, big staircase in pools for little ones to stay on. Other pool is huge and stayed busy. Boardwalk ramp at the sand is steep with no hand rail and I saw elderly and kids struggle a bit. Overall we got what we paid for and I give it a fair B/B+!

Amazing location and view!

Good communication for the most part. We had a small issue with internet - we were in the middle of selling a home and couldn’t get to the documents to load We had to call twice before receiving help. Other than that, our experience was wonderful and look forward to renting this condo again. We will miss looking at the view from our home away from home!

Its okay...

We enjoyed our week at the beach, but this wasn't the best condo we have ever stayed at. The bed was a full bed, not a queen as advertised. The paint on the walls was peeling badly in some spots, the furniture was a bit dingy, and the mirror in the hall bath hadn't been cleaned when we arrived, and the fridge shelves needed a wipe down. The beach was busy and chairs were at a premium. It was okay, we had a nice week, but I would not choose to stay there again. The lack of a queen bed was the biggest thing.

The master bed was horrible to say the least. Tiny room with full or queen size bed. Bedroom would not ever cool. My wife and daughter chose to sleep in there while I slept in the living room because the room was so hot and uncomfortable at night. This in my opinion was a huge down fall. Facility as a whole was nice. I will NEVER stay in this particular unit again which is unit 213. Way over priced for this particular room with these kind of issues. There was black mold in the corners around the shower. Definite odor smell coming out of drain/ from water in master shower. Not to mention the thermostat directions were not to lower it below 75 degrees. If I’m spending thousands of dollars for one week I shouldn’t have to stay within a certain temperature because the unit is old / aged.

Winter getaway

This was a great place to stay I would definitely rent it again if we are ever back in Fort Walton Beach. It was very clean and exactly as the pictures showed. Easy access to the pool and the ocean, the included umbrella/beach chairs were very nice to have.

Fall Visit to Okaloosa Island!

A wonderful visit at our favorite beach!! The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. We had plenty of space to be comfortable within the condo, and the view to the ocean is beautiful. This condo is located just above the pool.. we never had problems with noise while in our condo, but we didn't spend much time on the balcony because of the busyness just below us. As previous reviews commented on the queen mattress, it is very firm! The newer sofa sat well, and the living room chairs are very comfy!! The carpet did have wear, but that's expected with being on the beach. We would definitely stay here again! :)
