About this property

The perfect place for you to relax and recharge. Our cabin offers a quiet private getaway, sitting on two acres with 180 feet of private frontage, and large circle driveway for easy boat turn around. Enjoy the West facing sunsets from the screened porch, in the hammock at lake side, or on one of the two lakeside decks. Kitchen has appliances and all utensils. Also included: propane gas grill, 12' canoe, 12' v-hull aluminum boat & electric motor, aluminum dock, firepit, fresh water well, stand up shower with plenty of fresh hot water. Cabin has 1 queen bed, two twins in the second bedroom and a pull down ladder to a small loft that has a queen mattress. TV with a built in DVD player, deck furniture & 2 chaise lounges with cushions.

Groceries, 9 hole golf, ATV trails, larger water sports lake, laundromat, gas stations, Dunkin Donuts, Rite Aid, local produce farm stands 5 min. into town center. 20 mins off of I-95, 1hr. from Moosehead Lake region, 45 min to Bangor, 2 hrs to Bar Harbor. This cabin has tons of wild life living on the pond: Bald eagles, loons, otters, ducks, turtles. Great fishing from the lakeside dock. Bring your fishing poles.

White water Rafting trips on the West Branch of the Penobscot, Dead, and Kennebec Rivers are all in close proximity.

Cute cabin on Echo Lake

Relaxing stay on a beautiful pond

Just a beautiful stay on a smallish pond in a small town in Maine. Perfectly unplugged with the fam for the week. Loved my vacation .

Nice cabin on a small lake

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely spot in the heart of Maine. Close to town, state parks, and orchards. We were able to make the best use of the canoe on the property.

Nice quiet getaway at the Hideaway

Lovely vacation

The locations of this camp is amazing. The lake is beautiful for swimming, fishing and watching. The house had everything we needed, including the most beautiful view of the lake from the bed in the master bedroom.

Lakeside cottage

We enjoyed our stay at this cute lakeside cottage. Located in a rural town we spent much of our time on the water or relaxing dockside. Some nearby towns with things to explore but more of a laid back location. Suggest bringing food and cooking yourself. PL market is a local market if you need any supplies. Spencers is good for breakfast and about a 20 min drive. Anglers was a good option for seafood about 25 min drive. Liz was nice to work with and helpful during booking. We enjoyed the loons, eagle, fishing, and beautiful sunsets.

Our stay at the lake cabin was amazing. The peace and quiet lake was so relaxing. We enjoyed everything they had to offer..The boats..fire pit ..hammock by the water. Fishing was fabulous. .Caught 42 bass..Will definitely be back soon..

Peaceful Waterfront Cabin With Loons

This was a return visit for us! We love this location and the availability of kayaks, canoe and row boats for the kids to explore the lake! Full kitchen has absolutely everything you could want, even a dual coffee maker! Hosts are wonderful and have made beautiful upgrades, giving the cabin a lighter look! We hope to return for another visit soon!!!

Hideaway Cottage

This was an awesome cottage on a peaceful, quiet lake. The cottage is equipped with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed our time there, went by way too quickly. The loons are so fun to watch and listen to. We did a lot of kayaking, boating and fishing. We will definitely be back again. The hosts are wonderful!

The perfect getaway

This property is charming, quiet and peaceful… I stayed with my beloved pet who swam every day. We enjoyed a kayak ride and beautiful stars at night on the dock. It is so serene just what your soul needs. This house was impeccable, clean and tidy. The kitchen has everything you need in the grill is great I will definitely be coming back.

Fabulous little cabin on the lake

This little cabin was perfect! We had such a relaxing & wonderful time. Quiet and private on a great lake. The boat with the trolling motor was perfect to cruise around the beautiful lake. We caught multiple nice bass and perch. We had rain everyday we were there and it was so enjoyable listening to the rain hit the roof. We were lucky enough to see all the beautiful iris bloom by the front door. Cabin had everything we needed for our get away.

Quiet fishing cabin

Nice clean, quiet cabin with lots of nature and plenty of fish. We were set up with more supplies than expected inside the cabin as well as outdoor supplies. The caretakers were there to help us out and quick to respond to any concerns. The towns local stores were close by with friendly service and all the extra supplies that we might have needed during our stay. It was a great experience and we would definitely consider renting this cabin again.

Wonderful stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Silver cabin! It was a family trip with three generations from ages 5-61. My grandsons loved swimming off the dock and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. I have had knee replacement surgery in the past year and had no trouble navigating the steps or the dock. My daughter and I spent every evening listening to the loons make their evening calls, reminiscent of goodnite Johnboy. Lol. The cabin was immaculately clean and the bedding and towels appeared to be new from bed bath and beyond. There are small attention to details that make you smile, throughout the cabin. We would not hesitate to return another year. The only reason we gave four stars instead of five was that the linoleum that has raised in places and needs stretching, but not any big deal. Overall a wonderful stay!

Peaceful and lovely stay

The cabin was very cozy and quaint. They had a decently stocked kitchen so we were able to cook most of our meals with ease. The owner had a little binder that listed amenities/rules of the cabin as well as things to do and eat in the area which was a really nice resource to help plan out our stay. The lake was absolutely stunning and decently large, we went on on the kayaks provided and explored all over the lake and took in the beauty of it all. I bought a hammock and stand special for our stay but accidentally left it at home. I remembered an hour into our 10 hour drive there and by then it was far to late to think about going back for it and I was super bummed about it. When we first arrived it was pouring rain, we hurried inside and through the large back window, it was like the clouds have parted and shined specifically on it, a beautiful hammock sat hung between two trees. It was like fate had smiled on us. My only “issue” was there was an absurd amount of spiders. It can’t really be helped though since duh, you’re in the middle of the woods but me and my group are a bit cowardly when it come to them so we just had to be brave and do what needed to be done. Besides that, it was a really relaxing and rejuvenating stay, it was just what I needed!

Make sure you bring everything you need!

We were disappointed in the limited supplies provided to us as compared to other VRBO experiences, since we stayed only three nights. The pantry was limited to spices and a few old tea bags; nothing in the way of butter or other condiments. (We've found most owners provide mayo,ketchup,syrup, etc...at least in packet sizes.) The owner raved about how good the lake was for fishing, but couldn't leave us an old fishing pole, or at least some fishing line with a hook and sinker to make one out of a stick for fun? Accommodations were okay but nothing special, and since we had to pay the entire cleaning fee for just three nights, that added $30 extra per night, over-pricing this rental.

Loved the beautiful location

Such a lovely spot and well equipped cottage. Clean as a whistle, comfortable and all we were hoping for. We were so appreciative of the hosts who were wonderfully responsive to questions. We definitely will try to get there again!

Relaxing stay

We rented this cottage for two weeks and used it as a base to take some day trips. Upon arrival we were welcomed by a pair of loons with their baby. They were right in front of the cottage. Watching them and hearing their calls was worth the price of the rental. The property is well equipped. The owner has thought of everything.
