I was not expecting this location to be so nice! The St Charles line is right out front. Very quiet at night. My only concern was slow communication, no paper products, soap/shampoo or dish soap. Bring a wash rag with you - these will not be provided. Also, bring a broom. The floors were dirty and my trash can was full from whoever was there before. Also, note that this is not a 1.5 bath, this is a 1 bathroom listing. Aside from these issues, it was still an incredible place to stay.
Neat spot, toilet fill valve needs to be replaced, we worked it manually. Walking distance to several restaurants, close to WWII museum. Largest drawback, you can hear everything from the floor above you!
I found this suite to be as advertised and we were very pleased. The location is terrific and we had no issues with parking on side street. The suite was well equipped. We knew going in there was no stove but we didnt need it. Our only problem was the place was 60 degrees when we arrived and we could not get heat to work. Reached out to owner. He said it could be tricky but to set to what we desired. I wrote back we had spent considerable time attempting to get it to work. He sent a tech while we were out. By 10 that night unit was at 66 and next am 69. So if you go in wjnter I would be prepared to be a bit chilly. Not sure why it took so long to heat other than maybe air/heat unit isnt big enough for space.Other than that I would recommend staying here. We were able to walk to most places and we felt safe:) I would stay here again.
Very nice, comfortable, and clean home. We felt comfortable throughout our stay, and the street car was an added benefit. Street parking was easy, and we had no issues. Great communication with the owner. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great Halloween getaway!
We were very pleasantly surprised by this property. It’s in a great location close to all kinds of restaurants and bars. The trolley stops right outside the door to take you downtown.
It was clean and very nice.
Great location. The damp feeling and smell was very overwhelming and not great on our allergies. A curtain over the back door transom window would have helped for sleeping in and doors on the rooms for privacy.
Great property with amazing dining within walking distance. Trolley literally outside the door. A door on the second bedroom and a bathroom refresh is desperately needed. A stove would also be nice.
Enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Garden District location. Owner was quickly responsive when we informed him the place was not ready for us when we arrived at 7pm. Was surprised there no was only 1 bathroom since 1+ was listed in description. We were pleased there was a mini frig and mini microwave and Keurig so bring your own K cups and creamer. Side street parking was safe and worked well for us as we used Uber to go sightseeing although once we saw how easy it was to use the nearby streetcar, that was very convenient.
We had a comfortable stay in this nicely furnished and comfortable historic site.
This was a great location for our visit to Jazz Fest. As others have noted, the convenience of the streetcar cannot be beat. Some nice nearby places to eat and drink.
We did find the mattresses to be somewhat uncomfortable and the lack of room doors a bit odd, but otherwise the flat was spotless and everything worked well. Host was super accommodating in allowing for a late checkout and always very quick to respond.
We had a wonderful time except trying to catch street cars. The location of our rental was perfect. The place does need a few repairs especially in the bath room were the shower drain has screws that stick up & can cut your feet & a door needed on one bed room. Other than that is was a great place to stay and would recommend it
Overall a good place to stay at a good value for the location. Loved the free parking on the side streets too!
A big plus for this location! Communication was delayed from host and my biggest concern was no internet service while I was there but the host since messaged me that it was restored after I checked out. It's a cool historic home but there are a few minor maintenance repairs that need attention such as missing electrical wall plate and broken towel rack in bathroom but it's generally a nice place in a great location. Definitely worth the value.
This place is beautiful and close to so much! We were here a week and only used our car a couple of times. It’s extremely safe. There is paid parking in the front and free parking on the side streets. We never had an issue finding a free spot. The trolly stops right near the place. The owners responded quickly to my inquiries!! I would definitely recommend!!
This listing is in the perfect location. Everything is within walking distance or a short drive. The house was clean and tidy. Communicating with the property manager was easy and efficient. My family and I really enjoyed this place.
Excellent location. Trolley rolls by in front of home providing Easy access to board Trolley towards or away from Canal Street. Property is 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom. No washer or dryer. Kitchen includes sink, dishwasher, mini fridge and Keurig. First bedroom does not have a door, no big deal for us. Parking in front of home costs money on weekdays from 8am-7pm I believe, free on weekends and on side streets. Lula Restaurant next door has good food and drinks. PS, I don’t recommend driving electric, free charging station at nearby park is not always available and it takes all night to charge EV. All in all I would stay here again and recommend for the price.
