With Lake Cumberland 5 minutes away via Cabell Landing/Sunset Landing, and Beaver Dock less than 10 minutes by boat, the cottage can be your base for all things fun at the lake. However, if its a retreat you seek, the cottage is also for you as it sits in a quiet, very pretty, rural area of Wayne County. Kentucky, where 5 people sleep easily.

Perfect Cottage

It’s a very clean and well cared for cottage on rural country road in southern Kentucky. My wife and I stayed here two nights with our two children. The kids slept on the pullout sofa bed in the living room. This is the perfect place for a small family, or a small group of friends. It can sleep up to five people. Kathie was great, very helpful and great communication.

Cutest Little Cottage!!

Needed a place to stay while in Monticello visiting my daughter, this place was the cutest, cleanest totally equipped with EVERYTHING one would need. My youngest daughter and I played board games and rested wonderfully. I will absolutely visit again when I return. I just hope this little gem will be available. I can’t say enough about how wonderful it was, Thank you!

Great week at the lake

This is our third stay at this place so yes we like it here. Clean and we appreciated the supplies in the kitchen. We rented a transient boat slip at Rowena Marina and left our boat there. It’s about a 30 min drive from the cottage so that was convenient. Sunset landing is closer if you have a pontoon or fishing boat. Owner is very good with communication. There is some good hiking within a one hour drive too.

Country life

This cottage is beautiful inside and plenty of room for a Med size family a complete kitchen bath, washer and dryer. Everything looks brand new in the backyard. There’s a fire pit. It was nice to get around and there’s a Grill TV and grill outside beautiful little getaway.

Awesome property for a long weekend

Great place to stay close to the lake

This is our second time renting this house and it has been great both times. It has always been clean and the check in process is easy and all instructions are clearly stated. We plan to stay here in the future and would recommend this to anyone staying in the Monticello area.

Awesome fall weekend in Monticello

The cottage feels like new, very nicely furnished, very clean, private & quiet. Very pretty country setting less than 15 minutes from Monticello.

Nice little cottage

The cottage was nice and tucked away close to a fee ramps for fishing. The only thing I would say it needed is maybe a street light or corner flood lights to shine the drive alittle. Other than that it was perfect for what we needed.

Cozy Get Away

It was our 32nd wedding anniversary. It was the best decision we ever made to stay here. It was wonderful!! It was a very cozy, quiet and comfortable place to stay. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We will stay here again and recommend to family and friends.

This place is very cozy and quiet.

Well stocked with everything you need! Great firepit with firewood. Convenient to a remote boat ramp that isn't used by many. I highly recommend this little piece of heaven! The owner is amazing to work with! A must see and enjoy!

Lovely stay!

This is a lovely, clean cottage, true to pictures on website. This is our second stay here. We love the quiet location but close proximity to the lake. We rented a boat dock at Rowena Marina but this location is also close to Beaver creek Marina and Conley Bottom. We spend lots of time on the lake but also did some hiking. Cumberland falls is one hour away. We also visited Mill Springs state park; the waterfalls are beautiful. Thanks for a lovely place to stay. We are sure to be back again!

Clean and Comfortable

The cabin is immaculate, nicely decorated with a “cottage feel”, and well stocked for a short stay. The beds are comfortable; the towels soft and absorbent. We loved the peaceful, rural location and enjoyed spending our mornings and evenings on the covered deck where we were entertained by wildlife passing by. Although we did not use the grill or fire pit, these are bonus amenities that we don’t typically find in rentals. Our host, Kathie, provided all the comforts of home and communication with her was flawless. We highly recommend this cabin and will definitely stay again if/when we are in the area.

Great spot to hit the lake

Nice little property to sleep over when boating on the south side of Lake Cumberland. Everything you need for a clean, comfortable stay. Distant, but quiet spot. Will stay again.

A most adorable cottage. The space was extremely clean and tidy, cutely decorated and had everything we needed, even coffee. My husband and I were very comfortable during our stay and I highly recommend the Cabell Cottage ❤️
