Located at the end of a private road in Southern Door County, this home offers the privacy, peace & tranquility that are the perfect alternative to todays hectic lifestyle. Our three bedroom, two bath private home nestled in the woods on the shore of Lake Michigan offers amazing views of the lake, sky & nature. Every window looks out to the water and/or woods.

Enjoy a cocktail at the fire pit on a moon & starlit evening over the lake. Fall asleep to the waves of Lake Michigan lapping on the shore. The early risers can enjoy the magnificent sunrises whether they are just turning over in bed or up making early morning coffee.

Pass your day relaxing on the screened porch, sleeping in the lakeside hammock with spectacular views of Lake Michigan.

Looking for more action? Door County has it all! Travel north up the road for hiking, boating, restaurants, golf, wineries, shopping, or famous Door County Fish Boils! And don't forget to visit some of the 5 fabulous state parks in Door County. Or head south a few miles to the Algoma marina for some of the best charter fishing Lake Michigan has to offer.

We know you also want the comforts of home - so that is where renting our private home (versus a rental cottage) really differentiates itself. Yes, the kitchen has it all - stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, disposal, pantry, island, skylight, pots, pans, utensils and bar glasses. It also has a table in a bay window with one of the best views of Lake Michigan. The master bedroom is on the main floor with a king-sized bed, TV and private entrance to the main floor bath, which has a whirlpool tub and separate shower. The two upstairs bedrooms are large and hold a king size bed and a queen size bed plus a crib. Each room is spacious and has plenty of room for additional air mattresses. The same is true for the lower level living space. The living room has a wood burning fireplace & TV. There is a finished lower level living space with TV, game tables and board games to enjoy day or night.

BBQ on the Weber gas grill then enjoy your meal either at the outdoor fire pit table, screened porch, or the beautiful dining room table. All with great views spanning Lake Michigan!

We promise you will be as relaxed or busy as you would like during your stay. You will never want to leave.

Great Getaway in a Beautiful Setting

This was our second stay in this home. You could not ask for a better environment, along with the wonderful responsiveness of the owners. Overall, it is clean and offers everything you would need for a relaxing getaway. The home is a short driving distance to the Door County area and many other fun places to visit. Thank you!

Great house - located out of the tourist areas.

The house was clean and well maintained. The location was nice and quiet but expect a 30 minute drive to the tourist areas. There is no way to swim at the house.

So much fun

We wanted to have a place on the water away from the hustle and bustle of Door County. This home was perfect. We had coffee on the deck each morning and several fires with s’mores in the evenings. It was a beautiful home with a beautiful view. We loved our time here. The host was responsive with questions we had and the check in and check out processes went really well. I would absolutely stay here again.

A truly lovely lakeside home!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house and in Door County! We had 5 adults and two kids ages 12 and 16. We loved having a fire, sitting by the water and listening to the waves! The kitchen is fully stocked and we were able to make several meals there using the gas grill. It was easy to take day trips into the cute towns and parks in Door County. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Connie was a great host and available to answer any questions!

Great private getaway

This was a beautiful home with everything you would need for a getaway, along the shores of Lake Michigan. It is located in a private neighborhood which was quiet and peaceful. We loved the screened-in porch and the outdoor patio with a firepit… great place to see the stars at night. Connie, the owner, was so responsive and pleasant to communicate with… thank you!

A Peaceful place by the lake

This is a nice home with a beautiful view of lake Michigan. There is lots to do within driving distance if you are into that or you can just chill on the shoreline listening to the waves and watching the birds. There is no water access nor is there swimming if you are into that, but both can be had with a short drive. It is at the end of a private drive (single lane) to me that is a plus, but you should know that. The neighbors were very nice, and friendly. All and all this is a nice relaxing place to spend a week at.

Lake Michigan serenity and comfort

This property is the best Vrbo we have rented. The location is very private and you drive through a coastline boreal forest as you drive down the private access road The home is tastefully decorated with lake breezes to enjoy on a screened-in porch. The home is slightly up hill from the lake allowing a spectacular view yet still within perhaps 100 ft from the water. A beautiful lake front patio is located closer to the water. The kitchen is stocked with high end cookery allowing preparation of special meals. The host was excellent and responsive to all questions and always interested in our satisfaction and vacation experience. The landscaping in very nice and looks natural with this environment This home allows a uniques and peaceful and private vacation experience in a well furnished and very comfortable home

Relaxing by the lake

We had 8 people ages 75 to 5 staying at this lovely lake home. The house had all the amenities that we needed. The lower level with the well stocked toys and the outdoor swings were much appreciated! There were a few issues that the owner quickly addressed. We all thorougly enjoyed our stay. This house is in the very southern part of the county, but we planned our days around the trip. Thanks for sharing this lovely house on the lake.

Views and peace

Great house. Well equipped and nicely furnished/decorated. The location is rural at the end of a dead end road. Very private and quiet, yet close to Algoma/SB. The views from this property are amazing. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and patio in the mornings and evenings. You can swim but not a sandy beach. Sandy beaches are close by and we found some cool low key spots along Lake Dr. Great place for kids and families to get away!

Perfect 'Quiet Side' Stay

Lovely place to stay on Lake Michigan. Connie's house was very clean and thoughtfully supplied with anything you might need. We even found fire starters for the fire bowl. Wonderful stargazing, nice breezes off the lake. A wonderful stay!

So Cute!

We loved our stay! Its a great place for family get togethers with lots of toys and games for kids of all ages. The house is very well decorated and it makes you feel like home. The owner is super friendly and always there if you have any questions. I would definitely recommend this place.

Beautiful Lake Michigan Home

We stayed in Clay Banks for a family vacation in Door County. The home was well equipped with everything we needed especially in the kitchen, great furnishings, lots of indoor and outdoor games, and had a lovely view of the lake. Although this location is pretty far south in Door County, we were able to easily take day trips to all the beaches and sites we wanted to enjoy farther north. The home is tucked back on a small road that runs along the lake, so could be harder to get to in the winter but it was peaceful and quiet for our family, and we really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful!

Our group was a 75yr old, 3 middle aged parents, a 9yr old, and a 4yr old. We fell in love with this home as soon as we arrived. The property has everything you can think of needing. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space or run around, and my 4yr old loved the toys in the basement area. We enjoyed eating dinner, playing cards, or just sitting and listening to the water down by the waterfront. It is very secluded and private, and just a short drive to the busier towns. Everyone was very sad to say goodbye when it was time to leave! The host was VERY available and wonderful to communicate with. Highly recommend!!

Secluded

This was a great property for two families to share for the week. We had four adults and four teenage boys. The kitchen and bathrooms were very well stocked and I can’t think of a thing the owner didn’t have included. If you are looking for swimming or fishing at the property, this place doesn’t provide. It is very quiet and secluded. You are south of Door County, so to get to anything, you need to plan a good 45 minutes. But there is so much to do for the day. The fishing charter out of Algoma, the beach and the grocery store was all close and great. Highly recommend the house and the area.

A family reset at the Lake

Experience was excellent. Property was clean, thoughtfully appointed and as shown in pictures. Beautiful lake views and waves lapping to be seen and heard from master bedroom, living area, and kitchen. Owners were prompt and helpful with questions. I would recommend to family and friends.
