Enjoy Spectacular Sunset Views ☀️ On True Lakefront

Amenities include a brand new 600 square foot deck with unobstructed views of the Fox Chain O' Lakes for the grill-master to enjoy. Only 25 steps away from the home are 2 private 24' docks for those evenings when you want to catch the moonlight off of the water or fish. With 175 feet of private waterfront, our floor-to-ceiling bay window will lend a stunning lake view and has built-in bench seating surrounding a custom-built table designed to accommodate 8 people with 4 additional counter stools that surround the kitchen island.
We have a completely renovated, raised ranch-style home with an open concept including an updated kitchen (with all the amenities) and living room. The master bedroom features a brand-new king bedroom suite with walk-in closet (smart TV). The second bedroom has a queen bed with nightstand and a chair 1/2 twin sleeper featuring direct lake views out of 5 of 7 windows (smart TV). The main floor also has a remodeled bathroom with shower. Also remodeled is our lower-level, featuring a sectional sleeper, a bedroom cove with 2 twin beds accompanied by a trundle unit, updated second bathroom with shower, and a laundry room.
Take a paddle on 1 of 2 kayaks (included) or enjoy conversation around the nice firepit to talk about your memorable day on the lake or your activities in downtown Fox Lake which is only a half-mile away! We have plenty of space in the back yard to set up for a corn-hole tournament or other outdoor activities to keep you outdoors when you are not on the lake.
Summer fun: You will be a 25-minute drive to 6 flags or spend the day at the beautiful Chain O' Lakes State Park which is only an 8-minute drive. The home is also in close proximity to a beach with a park for the kiddos! Head downtown and grab an ice cream, take in a movie at Fox Lake theatre, or browse the local shops.
Winter fun: Whether its snow skiing at Wilmot Mountain which is only a 12 minute drive, Snowmobiling, or Ice Fishing, there are plenty of memories to make!
The Chain O'Lakes, or simply "The Chain", is a waterway system composed of 15 lakes connected by the Fox River and man-made channels. Encompassing more than 7,100 acres of water, 488 miles of shoreline and 45 miles of river. There are too many restaurants to mention with boat access located on the Chain however we are very close to El Puerto Mexican Restaurant which is a local favorite. Enjoy Blarney's Island which feature a restaurant, bar, and live entertainment daily in the summer and only accessible by boat!

Great location

The house was very well stocked and accommodated our family get together. We rented the homeowners boat and it was great to able to get out on the lake every day. There were restaurants very close and easy to access by boat.

Perfect Lake House

Absolutely blown away by this property. The location is perfect, right on the lake with minimal stairs down to the water. The house is laid out very nicely and was clean and incredibly well stocked. We loved our trip & thank you again!

Cozy waterfront location in Fox Lake

Property is better than described in listing - there is nothing that needs to be added or improved. It’s a perfect location on the lake and close to many restaurants and bars. Great little place

This house was efficiently laid out to use all the space available and the baskets of snacks or items we may have forgotten were a nice touch too. It was perfect for our 2 little families to spend the weekend!

Perfect Getaway House!

This is a perfect getaway house in an ideal spot on Fox Lake. Right on the water with gorgeous views in all directions. Great deck and yard with anything you'd need to maximize your fun and comfort. Lots of parking. The house itself is so cozy and comfortable, clean and updated. Really great use of the space and every amenity has been provided, and then some. Super nice hosts with great communication. If you're considering houses on the Chain of Lakes, I don't think you'll do better than this one and we can't wait to return!

Perfect Lakefront House.

We had a phenomenal stay at Kirk & Laura's lake house with our family of four (and dog). The hosts are very responsive and wonderful communicators. Everything is updated, comfortable and super organized. The hosts have definitely put thought into providing whatever you could need (& then some) to make your stay easy. There was a welcome basket with assorted snacks, which our kids LOVED. Not sure why but someone else's snacks always taste better. We took advantage of renting the boat and exploring the lake, which was super fun. Appreciated the cabana on the porch where I could have shade while enjoying the view. Lots of places to walk to within a half mile. We walked to El Puerto restaurant, the Tuesday Farmer's Market and downtown Fox Lake. There is also a long stretch of bike/walking trail that starts in the downtown area that we used often during our stay. We also enjoyed the kayaks in the morning when the water was calm. The kids also got a kick out of the huge family friendly DVD collection. You must bring your water shoes if you want to go into the lake by the house since there are rocks and some glass. We loved everything about this trip and this lake home. Hope to return next year.

Relaxing week at the lake house

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at your lovely lake house! From the moment we walked in we felt pampered and relaxed. The welcome basket was so thoughful and such a nice surprise! You provided us with absolutely everything we would need and we felt right at home. We loved the way it was decorated and enjoyed the comfy beds and all the special touches. (The bathroom mirror was awesome!) The deck was our favorite hangout and every night we were amazed by God's incredible sunsets. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home! Wonderful Home on the Lake

Our Family had a wonderful time on Nippersink Lake at this beautiful home. There was a lot to do at the home itself and in the town close by. The Sunsets every night were AMAZING! We planned our day around being back to the house- they were not to be missed.We enjoyed the fire pit at night and the wonderful shade the gazebo provided during the day. Having the boat rental option was a definite plus. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We truly loved staying there.

The Ideal Lakehouse Experience

This property has it all--beautiful decor, comfortable lodgings, completely equipped kitchen, a sprawling deck looking west on the lake, and beautiful views of the sunset. The hosts were responsive and anticipated all that was needed for a fantastic extended holiday weekend. There was nothing lacking during our stay and we enjoyed every minute of it. Relaxing lake house

Perfect lake get away with amazing sunsets

This lakehouse was even better than we expected. Very comfortable, fantastic location, lots of inside and outside games provided, stocked bathrooms and kitchen. We couldn't have asked for better. We enjoyed taking the kayaks out and just hanging out on the porch. Our young adult children loved it as well. Highly recommend it!

Perfect for Rest and Relaxation!

The lake house was the perfect, peaceful setting for a group of 5 of us to rest and relax. We awoke each morning to the beautiful view of Fox Lake framed by the picture window, sat on the deck all day for conversation, meals, and reading. This home, particularly the bathrooms and kitchen, was the most thoughtfully well-stocked with supplies and appliances—it felt like we were in our own home. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, the fire pit for roasting marshmallows, and the kayaks provided. The binder on the kitchen island was chockful of helpful activity and restaurant recommendations, and we referenced it frequently. Thank you for making our annual friends’ reunion a great one!

The Perfect Place

Truly the best rental we’ve done. Owners had everything we needed in the house. Super clean and private. Location on water and plenty of parking made it easy to come and go. Open floor plan was comfortable for all of us and bedrooms were quiet and cozy. The deck was another entire “room” for gatherings and making memories. We all said we would come back again. It was beautiful! Thank you.

Thank you for a wonderful stay and Christmas celebration. Your home was perfect in all the ways possible. Fantastic location! Exceptionally clean and neat! Beautiful decor! Excellent communication! Christmas decorations were perfect! I would highly recommend and hope to come back this summer. Again, thank you for sharing your home. Christmas Cozy

My husband and I were looking for a quiet cozy retreat while we were seeing specialist near Chicago and this rental was just that! We were so thankful for the kindness and generosity of the owners. They were easy to communicate with and very understanding of our situation. The Christmas tree and lights were so thoughtful and the whole house was decorated so beautifully. We could see all the intentionality they put into the home to make it welcoming and comfortable. They thought of practically everything and provided may things many rentals we have stayed at haven’t. I can imagine the summers are lovely there with the water view and access to the deck, kayaks and fire pit. It’s a beautiful and quiet location. With limited street traffic and a nice yard for a pup. I would recommend!!!

Nice Lake Stay

We had to swing up to the area last minute and found this nice little property right in Fox Lake, on the water. It was winter so it was cold and windy but it was a cozy place to stay with a nice view and easy access to shops, stores, and food. We appreciated the holiday decorations and some nice touches around the property. Deck was great and would be fun to utilize in the warmer months.

Beautiful lake house, amazing hospitality!

Can't say enough good things about this property. Kirk, the owner, met us upon check-in and showed us around. Also have us a great deal on their pontoon boat. Well designed and furnished lake house. Even had dog bowls and treats put out for our dog. Views from the house (especially sunsets) were breathtaking. Don't hesitate booking this place!

Great week

We loved our stay at Fox Lake. The house was perfect and had everything we needed and more. Having the pontoon boat was great. We went out every day and sometimes at night. We explored some of the different lakes along the "chain" and enjoyed looking at all the beautiful homes. The only thing I'd change next time would be to try to arrange dates that include the weekend. We had four 22 year old guys with us. We tried to find the sandbars on Monday and Tues but the lake was pretty dead on those days. It got busier as the week progressed. They still had fun but I know they would have enjoyed the sandbar on the weekend. And.....it would have been nice if they would have caught a couple fish. Oh well...better luck next time! :) They claimed the netted tent on the deck as their "lounge" and hung out there most nights. The deck was beautiful, by the way and the sunsets were amazing! I would definitely recommend this house. It was small but they utilized every space perfectly and we never felt cramped. It was beautifully decorated, clean, beds were comfortable and Kirk and Laura were quick with responses to questions, which I really appreciated. Thank you, Kirk and Laura!!

Our family is from Plainfield Illinois where we have raised our 3 children and It has been our dream to have a lake house on the Chain O' Lakes in Illinois. We made the decision in 2021 rent out our home in order to be able to share that dream for others and make great memories like we already have. With an extensive back-round in quality service, it is our goal to offer an exceptional experience for each and every family that is able to stay.
