In 2015 my husband, Mark, our 3 small children and I took a week long trip to the Kenai Peninsula and fell in love with the Central Peninsula. So many things reminded us of our home back in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
We bought this property in 2018 after working in "bush" Alaska for 13 years. We wanted our children to experience life "on the road system." My husband continued to work in the "bush" and our children and I started to settle into life on the Kenai Peninsula. Then COVID-19 hit. After a year of quarantining and struggling with the separation forced upon us... we decided that "together" was the place for us!
We recently traveled to another small town in Alaska for a little "staycation" and rented a home through VRBO. We loved that someone would open their home to others and absolutely loved that we could take our pets. The idea of being able to share our home with others was intriguing. So... here we are!
Heading back to the "bush" to be together is allowing us to open our home to others. The Central Peninsula has so much to offer. Just outside our door is access to bike trails, ATV/snow mobile trails, and world class fishing on the Kenai River (just down the road and around the bend, literally). We are 20 minutes from the Kasiloff River and an hour from the Caribou Hills where you can ride ATVs or snow machines for miles and miles.
