Als also offers beautiful, child-friendly bathing beaches and very good opportunities for anglers and windsurfers. Als has among other things two 18-hole golf courses, the adventure park Universe and a go-kart track where the whole family can race. Sønderborg has a very cozy town center and a charming harbor promenade with many small specialty stores offering a selection of interesting goods.
