Alaqua on the Beach: Directly on Chesterman Beach!

Alaqua on the Beach is a long-standing rental in Tofino that has been newly updated. Located DIRECTLY on North Chesterman Beach where you can watch the waves roll in while relaxing inside by the fireplace or step out onto the back deck to take in the view while enjoying your private hot tub or fire pit. You'll enjoy the sweeping views of the ocean and relax under midsummer's starry nights or drift off to sleep to the tranquil rumblings of the Pacific Ocean.

Nestled within nearly 1 acre of lush foliage with 100 feet of ocean/beach frontage onto Chesterman Beach, Alaqua on the Beach offers private beach access and infinite views of the Pacific.
The main living area has spectacular hand-crafted cedar ceilings which sets the scene for a perfect Tofino getaway! This is a great property to relax and unwind in or enjoy entertaining in the open concept kitchen and living room area. (6 guest max). The interior design has a sophisticated west coast style. The main level has 2 rooms with one that includes a bunk bed. Upstairs has the master bedroom with a full ensuite. The home has in-floor heating in the bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with recent upgrades and a cozy fireplace perfect for nestling up after a day surfing. A newly built exterior deck has seating perfectly situated for the ideal beach view. Out back also has an outdoor shower, propane firepit, and a private hot tub!

During peak summer season (June 15 - Sept 15), 4-7 night minimum stay and must be back-to-back to avoid gaps.

3 night minimum stay for all Canadian Statutory Holidays

Pets allowed $50 per pet (plus tax) max 2 dogs. Must be owner approved.

Please note: A long-term tenant lives on-site in a separate caretaker suite as per Tofino Bylaws

Strict Quiet Hours: 10pm to 8am - please be respectful of the neighbours and locals!

Accidental Damage Protection: The occasional accident is bound to happen during your holiday. The ADP covers accidental damages of up to $1000, provided damages are reported to Tofino Vacation Rentals before your check-out in writing. The ADP is a mandatory fee of $10 per night that is included in your nightly rate.

Cancellation Policy:. We offer a 30 day cancellation policy from September through June and a 60 day policy from July through August. If you provide us with the 30 or 60 days required notice you will receive a full refund (minus a $73.50 non-refundable processing fee). If you cancel without the required days notice you will not receive a refund for your reservation.

Wonderful house in a stunning location

We spent an excellent week over spring break here with our kids. The house was wonderful and the beds were really comfortable. The hot tub was perfect at the end of a cool spring day and the sunset views were nothing short of stunning. I highly recommend this house and would definitely stay again!

Fantastic getaway

This property exceeded our expectations. The location couldn't be better, right off the beach and short drive to all Tofino hotspots. The beds were cozy and the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed winding down in the evenings with the hot tub and the big screen tv was a bonus for a late night movie. We would happily stay here again!

Amazing Property

We truly loved the living room area, we spent most of our time in the living room, hot tub and beach. What a lovely home and had a lot of great things for all of us. We love pillows, lots of pillows, lots of blankets to be cozy and great about of dishes so we only had to run the machine onces a day. Great communication with the property manager and we had a lovely time.

Surf and Relax

Alaqua provides the most amazing location for surfing and enjoying the Pacific Northwest at its finest! Between the sun and rain, hot tubbing and playing board games, walking on the beach, surfing, playing frisbee, making memories with friends….we just couldn’t get enough. So we will be back! Absolutely Perfect!

Alaqua on the Beach was the perfect location for our family vacation. The unit is extremely spacious and well appointed, there wasn’t one thing that we thought, oh I wish it had this. Kids enjoyed the hot tub with a view and our dog loved being right on the beach every morning…not to mention their dog bed, it was a huge hit! Tofino Vacation Rentals were great to deal with from start to finish, and were only a text away for any of my questions while there. Fantastic location, only 5 min drive to town…if it wasn’t for the pouring rain everyday we would have loved to walk the 20 min to enjoy the Tofitian and Tacofino. Next trip! We will be back!!

Amazing piece of paradise

We had a wonderful time here. The property is amazing and to watch the surfers from the hot tub and living room was so awesome. Steps to the beautiful beach and minutes from town (driving) was so handy. This was the perfect location for us and our 1.5 year old plus our dog. We all had a blast and will definitely be back to Tofino!!! If your hesitant. BOOK IT you will not be disappointed! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

Amazing location

Amazing location right on Chesterman Beach. You can watch surfers from the living room and the hot tub. It was great to be able to walk out of the house and right into the ocean. The house is more spacious and better than I actually expected after viewing pictures. The guidebook they sent me was very helpful. The kitchen was stocked with some basic items. The place was clean, the beds were comfortable and there were lots of towels. Would definitely recommend and rebook.

Perfect place to stay in Tofino!

You could not get a better location to stay on Chesterman Beach in Tofino. We absolutely loved the property for the amenities and the unbeatable view. The house was very comfortable with everything you could want for a relaxing family vacation - great beds, linens, space for hanging out, space for quiet time, super clean hot tub - you name it, this place is wonderful. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need and the house was spotless. We booked for use with our family - 4 adults and a dog. Both of the two adult kids had their own space and appreciated the separate spaces and excellent wifi for studying. The Tofino Vacation Rental team are fantastic and we would highly recommend. Thanks again for another great stay in Tofino!

Very comfortable home and absolutely the best location. Chesterman Beach the jewel of Tofino.

Really liked the 'great room' as I called it, and it is great. large family living area, eating area and kitchen. Home was clean and had all amenities we needed. The windows in the great room provide for a fabulous fabulous view. I would suggest ensuring the windows are cleaned as that did impact the view from within the home. Hot tub is a must for us and it was really a blessing we treasured. The beach is perfect. Nothing beats Chesterman Beach!!! Great property. Would do owners well to do a bit of fix up on outside where old boards could be replaced. Again I really really appreciated the home, property, location and every room in the home. Best to the owners during this covid time. Annette

Good location

Great beach and location with nice decks overlooking chesterman’s Beach. Kitchen well stocked on utensils but limited starter condiments. Beds comfy but some Windows with no screens limited ocean listening. Loved the heated floors and hot tub. Would suggest Apple TV, WiFi extender and a Bluetooth speaker. We really enjoyed our family stay.

Epic location, great main living room

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! My only message to pass on would be to ensure your cleaning staff is moving furniture to clean! Opening the sofa we found it was full of crumbs and lots of dust/garbage underneath. The last room in the hall smelled a bit musty. The main room was amazing. The location is unbeatable! The bathrooms were clean - we really had the best time and would 10/10 recommend and stay again!! Thank you!

Amazing !

We booked it for 2 days. The place is right on the beach! Hot tub is great. Caretakers have a building on the property but it’s not attached..we didn’t even notice they were there. The bed are comfortable and everything work well. I will definitely come back again!
