About this property

Eagle’s Nest - 12 Guests, Hot Tub, EV Charger

LIC #3313
The Eagle's Nest is a beautiful 5 bedroom 4.5 bath home in the hills above Estes Park with breathtaking views of the nearby mountain peaks. Only .5 miles to Rocky Mountain National park and .5 miles to downtown Estes Park. The hot tub on the deck overlooks the valley below.

The gourmet kitchen has a large Sub Zero fridge, double ovens, and a gas cooktop. 4 large flat-screen TVs, free WiFi, shuffleboard, and games. Large enough for big groups, 3 separate floors, 4,500 sqft of space to spread out.

There are three floors to this spacious property. The 1st floor has a front entry and an entertainment room. The 2nd floor has all the common areas - kitchen, dining, living rooms along with one master suite with its own private balcony. There is a large outdoor living space off the kitchen where the hot tub is located. The 3rd floor has 4 bedrooms including another master suite with a private balcony. There are two driveways to the property - one from below that leads to the first floor and another that comes from above with access to the 2nd and 3rd floors.

Just a few minutes from the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, The Eagle's Nest is located in a private, quiet, mountainside neighborhood overlooking the Big Thompson River. When you look out the front picture windows at Lumpy ridge and the Mummy Range of RMNP it's hard to believe you are only a 5-minute drive to downtown - close enough to walk if you are looking to stretch your legs. Just a half mile down Riverside Dr from downtown Estes Park.

WINTER TRAVEL - in the winter, snow is frequent and the driveway is steep. With 5-6 significant snow days (more than 3 inches) a month from November to April, we highly recommend at least 4-wheel drive. The paved driveway to the front of the house is about a 12% grade. There is a gravel road to the back of the house which has a 7% grade but is not as steep as the front. There is a good chance that you will experience some snow during your stay - which is one of the best things about Estes Park in the winter - but if you aren't prepared can cause problems!
The driveway to the front of the house is steep - 4-wheel drive is required in the winter. Enough parking for 5-6 cars. Only a half-mile drive to the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park and the same half-mile drive to downtown Estes Park.

An electric vehicle charger (Tesla Wall Connector with adapter for any J1772 EV) is free to use in one of the lower floor garages. The 60 Amp 240-volt circuit provides 11.5 kW of power. As an example, this charges a Tesla Model 3 (extended range) at 44 mph.
There is an elevator on the property that is kept locked due to liability issues. If you have an accessibility need, please contact the owner to discuss use - which would involve signing a liability waiver.

A great getaway!

Our extended family ages 4-60+ enjoyed celebrating our parents retirements at this great property. The house was spacious and the teenagers loved the game room. The owner was extremely responsive and the property had everything that we needed. Huge perks were the hot tub and the garages.

Eagles Nest

First vacation in 20 years and it was well worth it. The property was perfect. Great location, great amenities, and just a wonderful trip. There were so many little details that made the stay even more enjoyable. Great views. Will stay again if possible and hopefully it won't be 20 more years.

Awesome Family Vacation

We just got back from our week in Estes Park staying at Eagle’s Nest. I can’t say enough good things about this house or the area! We are a family of 6 (4 kids all teens) and we had plenty of room and cozy common areas to hang out together. The house was very clean and well stocked. But above all was the spectacular view from the living room kitchen eating area. Gorgeous mountains! It’s also in a great location. The supermarket is less than 10 minutes away and the shopping Main Street is also under 10 minutes. One of the entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park is only 15 minutes. One of the best family vacations we’ve ever had. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!!

Spring Break

What a beautiful home. The location was perfect. We stayed for 3 nights during spring break. Estes Park received 3 feet of snow during our stay and it was magical. We cooked all our meals and the kitchen is perfectly stocked. Hope to stay there again next year.

Nice Escape with All the Amenities

Spacious house right outside Estes Park for a family Thanksgiving. Plenty of rooms for everyone with quick access to things to do in town. House was fully furnished with all the necessities for preparing a Thanksgiving meal (aside from the food of course). Great view of the mountains at all hours.

A Taste of Heaven - 10 out of 10

It was utterly amazing. The views from this property are the best in the area. Pictures do not do justice. We had daily up-close and personal visits from chipmunks, bobcats, deer and most of all ELK! Giants ElK right in the yard. They were majestic and beautiful. We were in walking distance of down town Estes Park where we could walk, shop and eat for hours/days! The week at this home was amazing. The host DAVID was so accommodating. Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful, wonderfully stocked home!

House was wonderful. We have been staying in houses for years and this has the best view of mountains. I would recommend this to any large group. Elk were around each day. Quick access to downtown Estes.

This home is clean, spacious and well stocked with everything you would want in a rental, even toys for a two year old. The hot tub was very clean, and we all tremendously enjoyed the weekend. Will definitely rent this home again for an Estes getaway!

Friends reunion

This was a perfect place for us to stay with 5 couples from high school. We enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful space for hanging out and cooking. The view is amazing and we watched an eagle, deer, elk and other creatures from the huge picture windows. David was great to work with. We had an awesome time!

Beautiful Location - Best VRBO Stay

My family met up with my inlaws to stay here during our visit to Estes Park. We have never been to Colorado before and we were in complete awe of just how beautiful it is here. We enjoyed the views from the property and the hot tub and shuffle board won the group over. It was fairly easy to find and get to despite the road construction in the area. It is very close to downtown Estes Park and convenient to get to. The guide book the owner provided was an amazing bonus with great recommendations. The accomodations were absolutelt perfect and we will be recommending this property to anyone travelling there.

Everything we hoped for and more!

We truly had such an amazing stay! We came for our wedding and the house was hands down the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. Everything was incredibly clean and the house is stocked with pretty much every amenity anyone could ever need. The beds were very comfy, rooms nice and spacious. The views are incredible from pretty much every room in the house! We will definitely be back and will be staying there again! Dave, was wonderful to work with and very pleasant for everything we reached out to him about.

Exceptional Rental Property - Estes Park, RMNP

Our family of 11 stayed at Eagles Nest for a family reunion in Estes Park, CO. This house is superb and clean with every detail and comfort needed. Beautiful bedroom and living spaces, balconies, picture windows, and large deck with gorgeous Rocky Mountain Views. The property is very close to town and just minutes from the Park entrance. It’s not typical to stay in a vacation rental property where every light or device switch is labeled and working perfectly, nor every bedroom with phone chargers and sleep sound machines - exquisite touches that we really appreciated! The host David Miller is excellent and highly responsive. We hope to come back to Eagles Nest some day! Thank you David

Beautiful views, as described-close to RMNP and downtown Estes Park

Beautiful view from the large picture windows in the living/dining room. Saw elk and/or deer in the mountain meadow every morning. Property is professionally managed, clean, with quality appliances. Phone app was accurate and helpful even without cell service. We did experience a communication issue but this was resolved satisfactorily prior to our departure. With 11 family members from 3 to 65 all were happy and comfortable with the property.

Destination Christmas Success

The house was just what we needed and the view was beautiful from every room. The property owner was easy to get in touch with and was extremely helpful. When we got there, he had been shoveling snow off of the driveway to make things easier for us. He even came back after he left to make sure we had a pack n play for our baby to sleep in. The wheelchair accessibility was good as well. That can be hard to find. Our family had a wonderful destination Christmas and would recommend for any family.

Highly Recommend

Beautiful home, location (very close to downtown & RMNP entrance) & pretty view. We were also able to bring our dog & enjoyed walks up the hill along the roads. House was large, clean, & well equipped to cook & clean up. Hot tub was in the perfect spot to soak & enjoy the view. We also frequently viewed the Eagle soaring overhead. Great TV/game room for kids & adults was an added bonus. Owner was quick to communicate & helped us with icy driveway by throwing sand down to help with traction & when we needed help with hot water. Just know, there’s plenty of hot water for everyone, just takes a bit to adjust temp when you change how warm or cold you want the water. We loved this house & hope to bring back a larger group next time to fill the home with fun & memories.

Our Beautiful Estes Park Home

We enjoyed the property immensely - loved the fact that we were so close to downtown; but yet still felt that we were were in our very own secluded space. Please send me David Miller, the owner, his contact information. I want to tell him about the smoke detector in one of the upstairs bedrooms. Shortly after arrival on Sunday; it kept going off - like every 3-4 hrs; so my son-in-law finally disconnected it. It’s laying on the island in the kitchen.

Amazing house with spectacular views

Eagle’s Nest was a dream from start to finish. The detailed on line guide told us everything we needed to know ahead of time. The home is spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Our group of 9 across 3 generations had plenty of room to spread out. We walked into downtown Estes Park for the Labor Day arts festival, and were at the RMNP entrance in 15 minutes.Bedrooms are roomy, all the beds were super comfortable. Bathrooms were likewise spacious and luxurious. Kitchen had great appliances and all the basics we needed for some of our dinners at home. The large dining table in front of spectacular picture windows was our gathering spot for meals and games. We had pretty warm weather at the beginning of our stay, and we were impressed by the cooling of the whole house fan! Some of our family members are considering installing one! Just have to remember to crack open the bedroom doors for good effect. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening after hiking. The downstairs game room with bonus bathroom was great for our young adults to gather away from the older folks. We took advantage of great restaurants- Bird & Jim,, Ember, Wayfinder. We relaxed on the decks and were visited by elk. We would highly recommend this wonderful home in a spectacular setting.

Estees house

Beautiful house with a great view. There is no air conditioning so the rooms upstairs were pretty warm. They need fans in the two front bedrooms to circulate air. We had to go buy fans. The 4th bathroom was locked and not working so that was a bother for us to not have that. We paid for a 5 bedroom 4 bath, but didn’t get that with only 3 full baths. The door code didn’t work when we arrived so we had to call the owner. The location is fabulous.

My wife and I live with our 4 children in Loveland, CO - just 40 minutes from Estes Park. We love visiting Estes Park with our children and decided to share our experience here with others. We love the mountains and all the activities that come with it.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the Eagle's Nest for the amazing views, the private feel yet proximity to downtown, activities and especially Rocky Mountain National Park. When you relax in the hot tub on the deck, lounge on one of the private balconies or look out one of the picture windows you would never know you are only .6 miles from downtown - all you can see are mountain peaks and tree tops. The experience of being out in the mountains with the convenience of being so close to town is second to none.

What makes this property unique

This house is so nice - built well and no expense spared. The furnishings are top quality and comfortable. From the luxury comfort of the best mattresses on all the beds to the Tesla charger in the garage. This house has everything you could possibly want on your vacation.
