The defining element of the approximately 600 km² large nature park Dahme-Heideseen are the more than one hundred lakes, which await you embedded in extensive coniferous and deciduous forests. A particularly attractive destination for nature lovers is the Groß Schauener Seenkette, which is home to rare water birds such as bitterns, ospreys and white-tailed eagles as well as many wild geese.



The Wolziger See lake is one of the highlights of water sports tourism in the nature park. Numerous excursion destinations are offered from this vacation address. For example, a visit to Tropical Islands (57 km), the largest tropical vacation world in Europe with a rainforest, sauna area and various shows, is worthwhile. Those traveling with children in the summer can also spend an eventful day at Irrlandia in Storkow (9 km). Here it's all about searching, getting lost and finding, playing, romping and climbing, sliding, swinging, hopping and much more. From the 36 m high inland dune Waltersberge you will have a wonderful panoramic view over wide forests, meadows and the Storkow lake. Since Heidesee is located only about 30 km southeast of Berlin, a day trip to the culturally rich capital of Germany should also be planned into the vacation program.
