Absolute Paradise.
We had an amazing stay. We enjoyed watching both the sunrises and sunsets while relaxing by the pool. The photos of the property really don't do it justice, it is a very unique luxury property. We did have some other adventures on Kauai but enjoyed just relaxing at the house and preparing and eating our meals outside the most.

Perfect place to stay
We loved the house and the quietness/peacefulness of the location. Although we did a lot of fun site seeing including tubing and snorkeling, at the end of the day when we asked everyone what was your favorite part of the day, my two grand boys aged 8 and 10 always said the pool. Beds were comfy, kitchen well stocked, Gary, the caretaker, responded immediately to any request that we made and he even brought us many mangoes and fresh marlin that his friend had just caught. It was the best fish we ate on the island! You will not be disappointed if you chose to stay here but it is far away from Princeville. If you want to see a lot of stuff on that side of the island, you will be driving far. However, we fell in love with the little town of Hanapepe that has great restaurants, delicious cookies and wonderful art stores. Not your typcial touristy stuff. Very special! One improvement we would suggest is better lighting in the master bedroom. Otherwise, everything was perfect. Thanks so much Michele and Gary for a lovely stay and being so responsive! Laurie

Kauai
The house is fantastic, the views are amazing. The location is very quiet. I would offer two suggestions, a better bed in the master bedroom, bed was way too hard and my wife and I woke each morning with back pain and swap out the cushions on the outdoor wood furniture with more comfortable cushions.

Kauai Paradise
The house was perfect and looked exactly as it did in the pictures from VRBO. The grounds keeper was amazing and the maid cleaning service was immaculately done. Our stay there will forever be one of our fondest memories. We were so grateful to have this experience and wept joyful tears.

We landed in Paradise!
I do not say this lightly, because we have stayed in several VRBO properties and this one was absolutely the best. We adored our stay and this house has everything you need. An amazing view, beautiful grounds, pool/spa that rival any resort and plenty of space for everyone. Even though we went on several excursions on this amazing island, my 2 teenage boys repeatedly said their favorite activity was hanging out at the pool. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals and we made use of the barbecue as well. Sometimes you stay in a house and the kitchen is really minimally supplied and it is hard to cook anything-that is not the case with this home, it has plenty of pots/pans, utensils and even spices in the cabinet. We also really liked the Waimea area and ate supper there several times. We found the location perfect and driving to activities was not a bother at all. If you are taking any of the Na Pali coast boat tours, you are less than 10 min away. Visiting Waimea Canyon (not to be missed) is only a few minutes away as well. I recommend visiting Salt Pond beach too-only about 15 min away and has a protected area that is perfect for swimming. We also need to sing the praises of Gary, the on-site caretaker who lives in the other house on the property. He was so nice and welcoming and provided an endless supply of mangos and bananas that we throughly enjoyed. We were sad to leave this Paradise and hope to return again! We completely recommend this property without hesitation.

Picture Perfect Paradise
The setting of this property is spectacular, perched on the waters edge with amazing views, picturesque sunsets and lush surroundings. The home is spacious, well appointed and spotless. Once you unpack there is no need to ever leave as there is a sparkling pool with a hot tub, dry sauna, putting green, fire pit, bbq and comfortable loungers. Inside, the oversized living room, king dining table and wooden library/pub provide festive areas to escape the sun and heat. The miles of uninterrupted night sky took our breath away for viewing the planets and stars. We shopped at specialty markets, fruit stands, bakeries, chocolate factories, coffee plantations and even a fisherman’s catch of the day. Several meals were had at local restaurants in Waimea. We would definitely return as this non resort - non tourist style of vacation definitely is the way to enjoy Hawaii to its fullest. A shout out to Gary, the property caretaker, who was so accommodating with the check in, providing fruit from the property including a coconut husking demo and available to handle repairs as needed. While this VRBO exceeded our expectations, it may be time for the owner to update amenities such as sheets, towels, plates, silverware, glassware, pots and pans to a current and fresh style. And move to a preventative maintenance plan for the HVAC. Thank you for allowing us to have a most memorable stay in the islands.

Paradise in Kauai
This home is stunning. And very well laid out. Our family so enjoyed our stay. It is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sun and water during the day and the incredible sky at night. There is so much to do in Kauai and our family did a lot of hiking, snorkeling, diving (the harbor was a very short distance away), and overall exploring the island but we all looked forward to returning to this exquisite home or simply spending the entire day there. The kitchen is well equipped and there are restaurants not far away. Also the salt pond beach was fun and close for a swim. This place is my favorite place that I’ve stayed in in Kauai and our family would love to come back here. A true paradise! G. Martin

Quiet Location large beautiful property great views
Upon arriving at the property we had some issues with some items and had things not been dealt with in a professional manner my review would be entirely different, however, as soon as I contacted Michelle and informed her of the issues, she had people on it immediately, and made sure things were set right. Any place can have issues from time to time but it is how things are handled that truly matters and she handled things very well. As for the property itself it is a very large house with a very large private secluded yard right on the ocean. The pool and hot tub make a great addition to the large well maintained yard. The house is nicely appointed and spacious, it is not a new home but has been maintained quite well, a few small items could be addressed or touched up but nothing major or that affected our overall stay. When your in Hawaii at least for us we tend to spend as much time on the lanai as possible and being able to sit and look out at the ocean and see the odd whale jumping was quite enjoyable. As for the location it is secluded, and very quite, so if thats what you are looking for it is perfect, we did not see one person walk by on the beach in front of the house while we were there, and given the property landscaping and location you don't even hear vehicles on the road. The yard's landscaping was lush and beautiful. We enjoyed the property and location, and from getting the booking completed to dealing with any issues or questions Michelle was very good to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to someone else. Mahalo

Beautiful Piece of Paradise
Everything was as expected. We were 4 adults and 2 children, ages 1 & 3. Swam in pool daily, enjoyed provided yard games, sand buckets, shovels, etc. -had to put some items away that were too breakable & tempting for children; place was beautiful inside and out. We were thoroughly pleased and happy to have a place the kids could enjoy as our home base. We got our groceries and fresh fruit nearby for breakfast and lunch, but ate our dinners out. The only negative would be that it was a bit far to visit the north side of the island, but we enjoyed exploring the south and east. Lovely, lovely place. Thank-you.

Spectacular!
The property is stunning. Pictures cannot even begin to do it justice. First, location. The pool/hot tub area is right on the seawall, which was great for listening to the waves crash against the shore while relaxing outside. There’s a beautiful white sandy beach just up the road that was perfect for morning runs and also nice sand in front of the property for walks along the surf. The quiet west side of the island also happens to be the dry side, so there were only brief passing showers when it was clearly raining more in the north. The west side was also close to all the activities we wanted (Waimea Canyon hike, Nā Pali Coast Holo Holo catamaran charter, helicopter tour that you really don’t want to miss). Restaurants for dinner are only a short drive away. Next, the house. We were blown away. Attention to detail is obvious everywhere; they spared no expense. With high-quality construction, ocean views from every room that mattered (all bedrooms, great room, kitchen, lanai, and library), and so many toys we couldn’t even begin to use them all, it was absolutely perfect. The kitchen has two ginormous Sub-Zero built-ins (identically sized refrigerator and freezer) and any kitchen gear imaginable including cool little built-in gadgets like the coffee maker and blender. Finally, the people. Michelle (the owner) was very responsive and accommodating, even offering things to make our stay more enjoyable so we wouldn’t have to ask. Gary (the property manager) was incredibly helpful with recommendations – monk seals are cute but don’t try to pet them, had the AC and lights on when we arrived after dark, kept the pool sparkling, and gave us so many mangoes every day that we could barely keep up (mango margaritas helped with that). Anyhow, the property is advertised as “Hawaiian Paradise Estate.” This is not overstated. The house is a 6000-sq. ft. mansion, the grounds are pristine, had we not wanted to see the rest of the island, we never would have left. Highly recommended.

Fantastic location
We had an amazing ten days at this property. The location was fantastic, being on the beach was a big reason we chose this home. Gorgeous sunsets and sunrises. We could see whales from the yard and even had a monk seal sunnng himself in front of the place one afternoon! It is in a very quiet part of the island, away from the more populated areas. The pool is in great condition, very clean and well maintained. The home is beyond spacious. We took advantage of the laundry room - were able to pack less and wash up mid-week. The beds were extremely comfortable. Ocean views from every bedroom. SO much storage to use for your things. The kitchen was great- ice drawer in freezer so didn’t have to buy ice. Great appliances and adequate cookware. Secluded, gated home. Would absolutely stay here again

We'll never be able to go to Kauai again without staying here--it spoiled us rotten!
We brought our whole family--12 people ages 2 to 61--and rented this home and Michelle's other property next door (#328780) and had one of the best weeks of our lives! When we were home, we spent most of our time in the pool, on the beach, and in the barbecue room. The rest of the time, we explored the non-touristy west side of the island (including JoJo's Shave Ice--don't miss it!!!). Both of the homes were beautiful, well-equipped, and clean, and the landscaping made us feel like we were at our own private resort. Steve, the resident property manager, was so responsive and took care of everything we needed (and he's a really nice guy!), The only thing we didn't like about staying in these homes was leaving at the end of the week. Thanks, Michelle!

Kekaha a Happy Surprise
We had not had an extended vacation (longer than a week) since our honeymoon 33 years ago so we decided to splurge and stay for a month. This home was a home away from home. At the end of our time there, I had to remember that I really did like our home in Texas and it was ok to leave (albeit, reluctantly). We chose this home because it afforded us the flexibility we needed to have our family come in shifts. There is a beautiful lawn looking out onto the ocean, a beach and the ocean right through the gate, a well decorated guest house next door for overflow guests, and the house itself is roomy and magnificent. All 3 of the bedrooms have a wonderful view, so when we shifted from the master bedroom so our grand babies could sleep next to their parent in the adjacent study, we did not feel slighted in the least. The sounds of the ocean were mesmerizing. It seemed our every need was anticipated. Michelle, the owner patiently answered my many questions and has thoughtfully placed things throughout the home to make it feel just like a home and not merely a tourist crash pad. Neil, the caretaker is gem and a fount of information. He greeted all of our many family members with the same kindness and made us feel truly welcome. We had never been to this part of the island before and heard that it was warmer than the rest of the island but all of us fell in love with Waimea. One of the reasons that we booked this house was because it has air conditioning, which we did need. But the heat was minimal and because of the dryness, we were able to spend more time out side enjoying the sun. Because the skies were clearer the night sky was spectacular. Neil suggested a 'star party' where telescopes were brought in and we were taught a slight astronomy lesson. That is still one of the things our kids talk about. I could go on and on about the fresh poke and shave ice that we ate almost daily at the market in town and we have tried in vain to duplicate here or too many to mention wonderful things about the area, but it would take too long. My mother was hesitant to make the trip to Hawaii and her response when we had to leave pretty much summed up what the rest of us felt. We wanted to go back even before we left the edge of Waimea. Thank you, Michelle and Neil We can't wait to go back.

Elegance inside and out
We just spent our second stay at this fabulous estate. It is so well appointed and laid out. It has been a dream to stay there. It has everything we desire and then some. The estate has beautiful artwork and structural details everywhere. It is serene and relaxing and just lovely. Both of our stays have given us wonderful family memories with our adult children and their spouses. We appreciate the security and having a caretaker on site. Also, the owner has always been just awesome and responsive.

Private Luxury
You know those exclusive luxury homes you always wish you could live in or stay in? How about if you had two of these homes side-by-side on private oceanfront. My wife and I have stayed in both homes twice, and we wish we could live in either one of them permanently! We have often thought of renting both homes at once to host a family reunion. It has truly become a second home to us and has become, by far, our preferred getaway vacation destination. We love the southwest coast past Waimea. For you return connoisseurs to Kauai, you know how variable (meaning wet and rainy) this lush tropical island can be. We have come to prefer the sunnier southwest coast and the beautiful wide sandy beaches this area offers, all the way out past Mana. Either home caters to our desire for natural beauty and a less traveled path. That said, give us luxury - not rustic accommodations. These homes are luxury. Michelle, the owner, is kind, loving, attentive and is constantly thinking of every small detail and accoutrement to make our stay nothing but exceptional. And wait until you meet Neal the on-site caretaker. He is tops. Be sure to have coffee with him in the morning to get your bearings and plan your day. We'll stop gushing now. Go. You will not be disappointed.

A&J
Just spent the month of Sept 2015 at this wonderful property. This was our third time at this home and it just gets better and better. Every time we visit, the owner has made more improvements in the amenities and decor. This time we enjoyed a lovely firepit down by the oceanfront for watching the incredible sunsets with a glass of wine. What a way to end the day.

Always Wonderful!!
We have stayed at this beautiful home on Kauai several times now. We keep coming back, and it is wonderful! In fact, it is even more wonderful each time we visit, as it seems there always are new things to enjoy. For our visit over the holidays this past year, there was a new outdoor fire pit area --- perfect for watching sunsets over the ocean and enjoying the brilliant starry sky at night with the glow of the fire warmly lighting the comfortable seating area. This home is perfect for our family – spacious, elegant and comfortable, with a large yard and great pool for the kids to enjoy every day. The caretaker Neil is fun and always helpful, available whenever we needed something. Each time on Kauai at this home, we are always sure to experience our “routine favorites” --- scenic drives around the island, Polihale, the Canyon, the charming nearby towns of Waimea and Hanapepe, beach-walking, surfing, scuba-diving, and so much more. And in between all those activities, we love lounging around the pool, watching the kids swim and the whales spout out in the ocean! During the flight home, we couldn’t help but start planning our next visit. We definitely will be back … many times, we hope!

FANTASTIC --- AGAIN!!
We have stayed in this beautiful home in Kekaha several times now, and recently spent an incredible two weeks there over the holidays. Our experiences at this home are always so great that we don't bother even looking for other places to stay when we have the chance to go to Hawaii. The house is spacious and beautiful --- well appointed and very comfortable. The yard is large and fun, lots of room for the kids to run around and play. The home is right on the beach, so we would often start our days walking the beach and playing in the surf, then would spend hours each day in the pool, in the hot tub, watching whales from the lanai. The caretaker Neil is always incredibly helpful whenever we need something. And the west side of Kauai is beautiful, quiet, and yet within easy reach of everything we enjoy doing --- scuba, snorkeling, boating the Napali coast, kayaking a gentle river, hiking the canyon, discovering beautiful beaches. We just returned ... and can't wait to go back!
