We enjoyed our stay, although some of the amenities listed were not there. It would be nice if are they had a few couch blankets, scissors for the kitchen, maybe some board games, dice or playing cards. Overall, it was nice and we made it work.
Derek worked very well with us for our early arrival and accommodating our family get together for breakfast and later in the evening for dinner Thank you

Lovely clean comfortable home not far from Castle Farms where my granddaughter was getting married. Close to town and beach, everyone we meet was helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend staying at this lovely home.
Clean property with nice proximity to downtown. Owners were prompt and easy to communicate with. Would book again in the future.

The house fit 6 people comfortably. The owners are extremely nice. The rules for the house were extremely easy. I will most definitely be renting this house again from them in the future. We used the grill the one night and my kids loved that there was a play set outback.
We thoroughly enjoyed our return stay at our rented house!! The home is very clean, uncluttered and comfortable. The location is excellent! Walk to downtown or take a short drive to beautiful Lake Charlevoix for swimming etc. Close to Lake Michigan. Beautiful sunsets!
Enjoy spending time in this home. Perfect set up with enough room for 6 adults. Loved that we could walk downtown. Will definitely like rent again in the future.
Thank you!!!
Loved the door locks, beds were comfortable, home was clean and not cluttered. Easy walk to downtown, somewhat quite location; a few houses off Bridge Street so some traffic noise, but if windows were closed, no issues. Would have liked the yard mowed, but in spring it’s tricky. Could have used a few more kitchen items, rubber spatula, serving dishes, salt and pepper. Would stay again!
.The house is centrally located, a short walk to beaches, library (great for children), grocery, docks, shopping. The house is well maintained, has a wonderful fenced yard with swings for children, a fire pit, a gas grill and a picnic table (which we used for a couple dinners with other family members also in town the same week) The owners were exceptionally considerate and responded quickly to any questions.
The house was super clean and an easy walk to downtown and Michigan Beach park. Parking was easy and everything in the house was tidy and worked properly. Plenty of room for a family and nice backyard too.
Family of five in town for a 90th birthday party. The location was central to everything we had planned. The house and fenced in yard provided more than enough space. The window units were nice on the hot days. We had a quick snag on check in and the owners were easy to get ahold of to resolve. Thank you so much!
We rented this darling home for the week. It was so clean and updated and the owner was very responsive to all of our needs. We have visited Northern Michigan many times before but never to Charlevoix! It did not disappoint and we all had a great time. We toured the Castle, the Mushroom homes, went canoeing and visited a Lavender Farm. We ate so much wonderful food from the local fudge shops, ice cream and amazing whitefish. We will definitely be back!

Hello all, My family and I recently bought this home and gave it a huge face lift that we know you will appreciate and love as much as we have. I have been vacationing Charlevoix for over 30 years and find this to be one of the most incredible places around! This isn't just a rental home as we stay here as often as possible and have tried to make our home as welcoming for all of our guests including you! I am always available and also have a handyman on-call with any issue's. We call this second home of ours are "happy place!" and hope you enjoy as much as we do :)
Why they chose this property
With our parents selling their home recently on lake Charlevoix (they owned since I was a child), we found it a must to buy our own. We love up north living! We wanted the perfect location, close to downtown(less than 2 blocks!) and the water (both Michigan and Lake Charlevoix)!! We also wanted to make it our own, so we chose to buy a home that needed to be updated. We tore down and built walls, updated basically everything to make it a wonderful vacation home!
What makes this property unique
Even though Charlevoix is an extremely safe place, we added a private fence covering the whole back and side of the home. We like our privacy and have young children of our own :) There is a great playset for the kids! With a bedroom and full bathroom downstairs, our elderly parents don't have to go upstairs for anything. In terms of being as close to downtown as possible, we are one of the closest homes available.
