Worthwhile for the View

Overall, our stay was well worth the cost. Every member of our group was amazed at the view of the bay and the bridge. For the size of our group, the space was about right, and the house was very clean. The only complaints we had were the difficulty of locating utensils in the kitchen and the occasionally thread-bare sheets. Additionally, the tops of the railings on the back porch clearly needed replacing. Other than that we were very pleased with the property, and we would be willing to book it again in the future.

Great Location, great views

Easy location with great views of the harbor.Lots of room and plenty of space for a big group. House is older and could use some updating…kitchen drawers that won’t stay closed and bathroom/tub drains that are slow to drain. Could also use some extra cleaning in the kitchen, some of the cupboard and drawers had food/crumbs in them.Sea lions are loud, didn’t keep us up but if you woke up in the middle of the night it took a bit to get back to bed depending on how noisey they were. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend..

Good stay

Very nice house and services. Was overall clean with a few minor issues. A few of the rooms could use an upgrade in the window coverings. Plenty of room and comfortable. Would stay there again.

Great house

Lovely property. Big and bedrooms were nice and comfortable. Grounds are nice. Would have been a 5 star, but for the sounds of sea lions. Totally enjoyed our stay

Survey

When we got to house the code for door would not work so I had to call and they gave me a code to get into box that had a key. It took several times before the key would work. When we would leave to go out and about was afraid to lock up the house in fear that the key or code wouldn't work. Also was not happy that we didn't have cable to watch tv. Not sure why they don't have that.

Love this place!

Such a cute house, in a nice quiet area (besides the Sea Lions which were fun to hear). The couch cushions wouldn't stay on when even barely used and the big glass hutch in the corner could probably use an anchor to the wall, it's kind of scary for those of us with toddlers and little kids. Overall I definitely recommend this place, we will for sure be back!

Spectacular views

Got off to a bit of a rough start when they wouldn't let us check in until after 6 pm. Not what you want when you've been driving all day and the shops in town close at 5pm. But after that, it was a wonderful vacation. Plenty of room in the house. A beautiful location. The view from the dining room was breath taking. You should be forewarned that the sea lions do like to "talk" loudly to each other all day and all night. Didn't bother us any, but if you are noise sensitive, you might want earplugs or a white noise machine at night. :)

Beautiful Feb weekend.

This was our 2nd year at Blue Heron Bluff with 8 adults and a couple small ones and it did not disappoint! We love the huge kitchen table that holds all of us and view is AMAZING. The kitchen as well is plenty large with an assortment of pots/pans/etc. We were happy to find that there was plenty of dishwasher soap and paper towels for our 4 night stay. The 3 stories gave us plenty of room to spread out. Also very glad to see new patio chairs as the weather was amazing! The key pad was a tad difficult to use when locking up. The couch and love seat have been well used, as can be expected. One could loose a small child in them as the seats were no longer strong. And that is the ONLY complaint we had. We definitely will be renting again as it met all our needs, and we are a very particular group. Thank you home owners for sharing your place with us. We tried to leave it as clean as we found it.

Lovely and convent spot!

We were booked at this spot because the place we had reserved was suddenly unavailable. We usually stay at Nye Beach but we found the location and view of the bay delightful! Easily walkable, great view of the working waterfront and the bridge, and blocks away from shopping and amenities. We saw reviews that complained about the noise from the sea lions and that was an issue but we had no trouble sleeping or conversing. The home was well designed, had great amenities, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, and great views! We had a lovely time and we’re happy to see another side of Newport! The Vacasa staff were very helpful as we dealt with rebooking and some snafus.

Great view!

Great view and great location. If you don't mind the short hill, it's a nice walk to the waterfront. The house is comfy and plenty of room for everyone. Thank you for the enjoyable stay!

Newport bridge

We had a wonderful stay. It is very private. They did have chairs on the deck and bluff. I wouldn't recommend this for small children, lots of stairs and no fence.

Bark of the sea lions

You can hear the sea lions barking day and night-we loved it, even when they woke us up at night. Our second stay here and hopefully not our last. Beautiful older home works well for us. Hopefully owners will find someone other than vacasa to manage the listing. Too expensive for too little. No to early check-in as the guy driving the new Jaguar was not finished until a couple of minutes after 4. Little glass beads all over the floor in one of the bedrooms. Breeze in dining room was finally revealed to be two windows left open and inch or so. Then vacasa wants a 10:00 check out in the morning, and tries to encourage you to leave earlier. Boo vacasa.

Great view and property

We had 9 family members in the house. All were able to have their own rooms. My mom isn't able to get around very easily so her and my step dad were able to use the room on the main floor which was great. Love the view of the harbor. The only thing I would say that is missing from the property is a nice grill or charcoal grill of some sort. We bought a small one and left it there for the next people. Great stay and I would highly recommend it!

Eagles soared thru trees

House was comfortable & clean. Sugar ants stormed out of living room floor vent, but nothing vacuum couldn’t handle. Patio chairs would have been nice, as well as stools for the kitchen island. We were a party of 8 with two toddlers. Our headcount should have been reflected in house supplies; we ran out of dishwasher tabs & garbage bags. Things to note: bottom drawer of dishwasher has broken racks so plates collapse; dishwasher not secured to cabinet & tips out; kitchen lazy Susan cupboard unusable because shelves are not secured; main floor bathtub is clogged.

Perfect for us!

I brought over a group of employees to fish and hangout for a three day vacation. Everyone had their own space to sleep and very comfortable beds. Great dinning room with exceptional harbor and bridge views, especially at night! Super close to harbor front street with cool shops and great food! “Local Ocean” restaurant is also top notch! I plan on bringing my family back soon!

A beautiful stay

Thie older house sits above the harbor with a great view of the harbor. You are serenaded 24 hours a day by the sea lions two blocks below you, they are quite loud. The charming, older house has been carefully updated and is wonderful. 5 bedrooms on 3 levels; an amazing dining area with colorful high ceiling, round table and wonderful view of the harbor makes for a warm and inviting atmosphere.
