Beach Accesses: There are several convenient beach accesses! Below are 4 of the most popular accesses:

Gulf Lakes Beach Access: The Gulf Lakes access is a Walton County beach access located about 1 mile to the East of Prominence. This is a small access and can be easily missed.

Walton Dunes Beach Access: Located less than a mile West of Prominence.
This is unique in that there is no boardwalk to the beach. You just drop your stuff right in the sand. The parking is plentiful and very close to the access point.

Deer Lake is located 0.5 miles West of Prominence. While it is popular, there are a few things to keep in mind: There is a small parking area at the access (aprox. $3 for parking) Bathrooms are also available at the access. The walk from the parking area to the beach is a bit longer than most area accesses. IMPORTANT - Because this is a state park, and not a Walton County beach access, alcohol is not allowed. Beach service is not available at this location either.

Santa Clara: Santa Clara access is a Walton County, ADA approved, beach access located near Bramble Grove Road, about 3.5 miles to the west of Prominence. Parking and bathrooms are also available at the Santa Clara access.

There is a limited supply so best to rent early. Up to 30 carts will be available to rent short term on a first come basis, ONLY from 30A Gulf Carts. These carts are registered with the Association by 30A Gulf Carts and will be identifiable. 30A Gulf Carts will also provide a list of these carts to the HOA and security.

Carts cannot be rented short term from any other provider. Security will turn away other vendors attempting to drop off short term rental carts in the community, and if other short term rentals are found, these are subject to fines and/or towing.
