We had a great short stay at this cabin in the mountains. It has hot running water, a spacious kitchen and living area, and heating units. The space around the cabin is great for dogs.
Everything was fantastic!! The location was perfectly secluded but still only a few minutes drive to the village. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time there!! Thank You so much!!

Only 2 towels for 4 adults, no washcloths & the shower didn’t drain well. Other than that very nice place to stay.
This cabin and its location is super ideal for our weekend get away, 10 minutes from Cloudcroft. It was so serene and quiet you can hear the elks bellowing in the mountain forest above. At night the star lit skies were incredible. Will definitely be back again.
We absolutely loved our stay at Mountain Paradise 2! The cabin is tucked away in the forest where you have an incredible view of the mountains. Bring a bird feeder because there are lots of lively birds and they are not afraid to approach. I also recommend bringing cushions for the outdoor patio furniture. It's made of iron and can be a little rough on the backside :-) I look forward to staying at Mountain Paradise 2 again next summer!

Heating source could use an upgrade it was hard to warm up property.
Cute cabin, but it is on a steep hill so it is difficult to access in the snow. The cabin is nice but we had issue with the heating and breakers being thrown. Also, the bathroom door would not shut completely. Just F.Y.I. AT&T does not have phone service here. Verizon does work.
Dispute the few hiccups, we did enjoy our stay! It was nice to escape the city and experience the beautiful mountains and local wild life!!

Property is more secluded than we thought which was a nice surprise. Property was also clean except for the shower which needed some attention. Only major downside was the hot water heater which only lasted about 5 minutes either because of a timer or malfunction. Once water heater turned off, it took several minutes of waiting to get hot water again
Cold showers-4-wheel drive needed. Some family not able to make it to location. Cold on arrival!
Cabin was freezing cold when we arrived. Main room heater not working-all rooms are heated by electric heaters. One of the bedrooms blew a breaker when there and we were not able to reset so had to plug heater into main room and put inside bedroom - no light in that room for stay. No return call from management or response at all - even after stay and after the holiday. While the small print says check weather - four-wheel drive necessary at times. We had a four-wheel drive so we were fine but family staying in cabin next door were not able to make it to destination. We had to leave their cars and drive them up. I think this should be mentioned in BOLD print for those coming from out of state. The cabin was dusty, smelled of smoke and we only had enough hot water to get through 2 very brief showers the first morning and the second morning none at all!
Much better than the last cabin we rented. A few issues: outlet by bed didn’t work, there were numerous light bulbs out making it dark. Had Roku tv system with no Roku remote. No AC. Property was a bit wild with high grass.- recent rains obviously showed. Still a nice mountain retreat.
It was a relaxing weekend stay. There are only a few other cabins within visual field so it feels secluded. Yet a 10 min drive to the middle of town. Comfortable and warm beds.

Dissapointing
Very disappointed in overall package. Heater did not work at arrival, there were no curtains in one of the bed rooms, only 3 towels in bathroom and no wash clothes(we had to purchase), only 1/2 roll of toilet paper for a 6 day stay, 1/2 roll of paper towels in kitchen, no dish towels to dry dishes with, coffee pot barely worked (purchased one at Family Dollar) missing light bulbs in most fixtures, all kitchen drawers very unorganized, cabinets even worse. Don't open the cabinets under the sink. Not sure what all that mess is. Screen door is broken and propped open with a rock. There were a couple spots that appeared to be dog urine on the floor, Not stains, actual urine that was not cleaned from previous renter.
This was a little slice of heaven for our family. The Cabin was perfect for us as a family of 5, and we felt very comfortable there. Deer were right down the road, and we were able to hike, as well as enjoy the amazing swing set on the property. We will be back here often!
