The property was a great home to stay in. We all really enjoyed our time there. It was very spacious and cozy. The only negatives we had was the lack of locks on bathroom doors, the lack of a door on the master bath, and no tv upstairs.
This was a great place to stay for us, our adult children and our grandchildren and we plan on going back again soon! Large kitchen easily accommodated several cooks at the same time and all the kitchen essentials were there.
Great property. Only issues—the inside of the microwave was covered in grease, I cleaned it in order to be able to use it; 2 dirty plates and very old food scraps were found in a nightstand drawer, along with a used bandaid stuck on the side; many scraps of paper were on the floor of the footed tub; upstairs balcony door did not lock, so we put a chair under the handle to secure it.
The house was in the perfect location close to town. Very clean with all necessary staples. Beds were comfortable. Everyone had a great time and we’ll be back for sure!
We loved our stay! It was a great getaway from the city! The cabin was amazing. The pictures don't do it justice. Beautiful! The only thing there were a lot of moths.
Great house, but lacks a couple of important things.
My family and I loved this house. It’s very beautiful and comfortable. The only issues we had, that were important to us, is that there was no WiFi (really???), and one very dated flatscreen TV that we couldn’t hook up any of our games or Roku to because it is too old. There wasn’t any cable, or satellite either. Just an old dvd/vhs player with a few meh movies. Since it was so rainy while we were there, it was a bummer for the kids that they couldn’t play their games or watch anything worthwhile. These days, it’s pretty unacceptable to be lacking WiFi. Since my husband had to work remotely he had to go buy a portable WiFi tower so that he could work at the house. An unnecessary expense, if you ask me. We have never stayed in a rental that lacked WiFi.
Also, since the house is pretty much in town, you get a lot of street noise, and the bells ringing at the school across the street.
Other than that, this house is very nice and comfortable. Oh, and it’s right next door to a creepy, 125 year old house that was pretty neat.
If you’re ok with no WiFi and very little entertainment other than card games, then I really do recommend this house.
Great house, close to everything in Cloudcroft. Well appointed and lots of room. Our big family enjoyed the big kitchen and dining table, and relaxing on the balcony.
