When we arrived, we were unable to enter the condo and unable to reach owner for almost an hour. My husband waited in the courtyard while being eaten alive by mosquitoes while I was across the street using a cafe’s internet. Before we left, for our trip, the owner emailed us to let us know about the Smart Lock, which never worked for us. She said it was easy to work. It wasn't. There was no visible lock like pictured in the app I downloaded. After we finally got hold of the owner, she said it wasn’t a visible separate lock; it was inside the deadbolt above the door knob that you hold your phone up to. It was very frustrating, especially since we had flown from another state and were tired and wanting to relax. The house was nicely decorated and very clean. The bathrooms sinks were those glass bowls that sit on top of the counter. They look cool and modern, but water just splashed out and all over the counter. And there was one micro cloth wash rag. I am well traveled, patient, and open to new adventures and even list a home on VRBO, but not having success with this new technology to get inside was a bummer. It would have been nice to have a property manager nearby to help us. The rest of the trip, we had to use the key—that was inside of the condo. We used creative means to let ourselves in.
