About this property

Our cozy apartment is functional and leaves nothing to be desired. Located in the historic center, you can see the Veste Lichtenau, brewery, market square and the stork's nest. Within a radius of 500 meters you can easily walk to the bakery, butcher, grocery store, pharmacy and restaurants and a heated outdoor pool. You are welcome to light up the grill in our little garden and sit comfortably together. Lichtenau is located on the Burgenstrasse in the triangle of Nuremberg, Franconian Lake District and Rothenburg o.d.T.

Schöne Tagen in Lichtenau

Schöne kühle Wohnung mit allem was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. Durch die zentrale Lage ist der Garten leider etwas klein ausgefallen. Sonst hatten wir eine wunderbare Zeit in Frankenland.

Perfect

Very lovely and clean apartment which has everything you need for your stay. The owners are very nice and we loved the beautiful drawings, photos and maps of Lichtenau inside the apartment. The town is beautiful, the castle is just across the street.

Super schöne Ferienwohnung

Die Ferienwohnung ist super ausgestattet, Kaffee, Tee usw. ist alles vorhanden. Die Lage war für unsere Bedürfnisse perfekt, auch bei hohen Temperaturen ist die Wohnung angenehm kühl. Die Vermieter sind sehr herzlich.

A nice place but heating and hot water problems

The apartment in Lichtenau was comfortable and parking was good. The location was good. The location was in the Markt with many old buildings, historical. Our host was nice and showed us the apartment. It is convenient to Nurnberg and Rothenberg. We were staying during the cold spell in December 2022. The only problem we had was that the heat did not continue past 9 PM and the hot water seemed to be shut off after 8 PM. We ended up taking cold showers on several occasions. We spoke to the host and received an explanation that due to the energy crisis, they were taking precautions. Since I am paying for the rental we should have heat and hot water at least to 11 PM. We stayed at 2 other VRBO rentals and had no problem with heat or hot water.

Herzliche Gastgeber und tolle Wohnung

Wir waren mit dem Aufenthalt in der Wohnung sehr zufrieden. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und stehen bei Fragen jederzeit zur Verfügung. Auch bei höheren Temperaturen hält man es im Haus dank der dicken Sandsteinmauern sehr gut aus. Wir können die Unterkunft unbedingt empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder, wenn wir in der Ecke nochmal Urlaub machen.

Eine gemütliche Ferienwohnung

Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich. Als Willkommensgeschenk gab es selbstgemachtes Weintraubengelee, eine Packung Kekse und eine Flasche Wein. Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich im Erdgeschoss. Die Gastgeber wohnen drüber. Das ist praktisch, wenn mann mal was braucht. In unmittelbarer Nähe ist eine Kirche, da läuten jeden Morgen um 7 die Glocken. Außer Samstag glaube ich. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Staubsauger, Bügeleisen, Fön... Es gibt auch DVDs, auch mit einigen Kinderfilmen. Die Küche ist wie neu und auch super ausgestattet. Nur bei der Sauberkeit kann ich keine 5 Sterne vergeben, eher 4,5. Im Badezimmer steht neben der Badewanne ein sehr schönes und praktisches Holzregal auf Rädern für die Handtücher. Diese war wohl länger nicht entstaubt worden und ich habe viele feuchte Reinigungstücher gebraucht, um dieses vor allem an den Rändern sauber zu kriegen. Und ich glaube die Badewanne wurde nicht gründlich gereinigt, da ich da paar kleine Haare gesehen habe und im Abfluss waren noch Haare. Davon abgesehen, hatten wir eine schöne Zeit da. Bei schlechten Wetter waren wir im Erlebnisbad Novamare. Ein kleines aber feines Schwimmbad. Perfekt für Familien mit kleinen Kindern und das Essen ist dort lecker. Vor allem auch was für Vegetarier. Der Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus ist super praktisch. In der Beschreibung steht 1 Schlafzimmer. Es sind aber 2 Schlafzimmer. Eins mit Doppelbett und eins mit drei Betten. In der Beschreibung ist angegeben, dass die Entfernung zum Großen Brombachsee 24 km beträgt. Laut Google maps sind es aber 37! Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft!

Uns hat´s gefallen...

Der Kurzurlaub war ein Erfolg. Wir konnten drei Tage entspannen, auch dank der Ruhe die am Marktplatz herrscht. Danke für den "Geschichtsunterricht" in Bezug auf die Ferienwohnung - super interessant! Hoffentlich bis bald Darrin

We enjoyed are stay very much. The house was very clean and good. Friendley owners. A beautiful place. We loved it very much. The children enjoyed it also. The swimmingpool nearby was very good en nice. It was a wonderfull holiday.

Kurzaufenthalt

Sehr nette Begrüßung durch die Vermieterin. Wohnung war sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Es war alles da, was man braucht und mehr! Danke, für die selbstgemachte Marmelade! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Unterdurchschnittlich

Der Außenbereich ist ungepflegt, die Wohnung macht einen verwohnten, lieblosen Eindruck. Zum Teil blättert der Putz von den Wänden. Die Küchenzeile ist in sehr schlechtem Zustand mit angestoßenen, schiefen Türen. Da waren wir echt entsetzt, dass man sowas überhaupt zur Miete anbietet. Oberflächlich war zwar sauber, aber in den Ecken war es zum Teil schmutzig. Im Bad waren die Fugen zum Teil schwarz, Handtücher sollten ausdrücklich nicht an der Duschstange aufgehängt werden, einen Handtuchhalter zum Trocknen gab es aber nicht. Wo bitte also hin mit den nassen Tüchern? Die Einrichtung ist nicht durchdacht: z.B. ein Bügelbrett ohne Bügeleisen, Esstisch im Wohnzimmer, aber kein Tablet, eine Garderobe fehlt. Fazit: Wohlfühlen geht anders. Preis-Leistung stimmt gar nicht. Wir können die Wohnung nicht weiter empfehlen.

This was an amazing apartment. Very clean and spacious. The apartment is within the old city walls next to the Lichtenau fortress. Very nice and the hosts are very hospitable.

Our short visit to Lichtenau

We stayed at this place in Lichtenau for 1 night only, but it was a really nice apartment, cosy, great location close to the castle. We enjoyed getting fresh rolls from the bakery in the morning and exploring the castle. We felt welcomed at our arrival. There was no freezer which might be helpful for some future guests to know. The curtains in one of the bedrooms lets through a lot of light which was a downside for good sleep. Anyway, a good place to stay, we recommend it.

Groß, gemütlich, unkompliziert

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der sehr großen und gemütlich eingerichteten Wohnung sehr genossen. alles ist da, was man braucht, sogar volle Bücherregale mit Krimis, aber auch Informationen zu Ausflugszielen. Gelungener Kurzurlaub

Wir haben im idyllischen Städtchen Lichtenau die Kirchweihwochemit Rummel und Feuerwerk miterlebt. Das war ein völlig ungeplantes Highlight. Die Umgebung ist schön. Die einfache Wohnung mit vielen guten Büchern ist wieterzuempfehlen.
