What’s new: outdoor shower and tv and children’s swing set. From camping to glamping, The River's Edge B & B LLC is sitting on the edge of the scenic Illinois River, where wildlife, rafting, kayaking, hiking and fishing abound. Watch the sun rise over the mountain or tour the historic Cherokee stomping grounds. There's something for everyone! This full-house includes 5 bedrooms and sleeps 15, is family-oriented and is in a residential neighborhood so if you want to escape the noise, this is your place! Please be aware that the house sets on an unfenced bluff, therefore not suitable for small children. There are deer, birds, chipmunks, waterfowl, black bears, mountain lions, coyotes. There could also be less desirable wildlife/insects such as spiders, ticks and snakes.
River access is 1.7 miles from the property which is paid on your behalf, to enjoy. Parking passes are provided. Hot tub ready in back during colder weather Sept 15-May 15 and may be closed during the summer.
Two night requirement except for holidays when it’s 3. Pets require $100 non-refundable deposit and limited to 2 under 40 lbs.

Host profile image
I am a retired special education teacher/library media specialist. I love to quilt, paint, create things and renovate houses.
I have 3 grown children (two are married), soon to be 3 grands and I am marrying soon and will gain 4 darling grands, 3 adult kids and their spouses.

Why they chose this property

I bought this property during a flood. I fell in love with it and still love it. I also enjoy the rental business.

What makes this property unique

Renting this huge house has enabled me to stay retired while awaiting drawing social security. I love to be on this river, either on the bank in a chair or in a kayak.
