About this property

The Cottage on Clarks Creek welcomes you. Jyoti and Michael’s newly built, secluded abode is nestled in the woods just steps away from an immaculate watershed creek. The lodge consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath with not only a shower but separate jacuzzi tub, plus another ½ bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with all the appliances.

On the property, for your use, is a creekside, fully screened in, (not kid friendly) meditation room that is suspended right above the flowing water. The perfect spot to relax, have a meal or morning coffee. Mountain water flows through the creek making it pristine for fishing, rock stacking or floating. The Appalachian trail and Fly Fishing areas are around 1 mile from the property.

Between your getaway and the creek lives two fireplaces, one large stone fireplace with built-in seating, and the other is a smaller creekside fireplace.

Jyoti and Michael created a quiet, zen space intended for a romantic and relaxing getaway, we live next to the cottage. We will respect your privacy. If you are looking to party this is not the place for you.

Hershey Park is 28 miles and 35 minutes drive from the cottage..

Great Location

My family and I enjoyed our stay! It was a nice retreat away from the city but yet close enough to all things. Very quiet and serene, we had a wonderful time!

The cabin is perfect

What an amazing place. Michael was a fantastic communicator. Everything was so organized and he even sent activities to plan ahead of time. The cabin is so charming. Everything we could think of was there. It made our trip with our granddaughter even more delightful. All of us wished we could put more than five stars, because we could not come up with a single thing that could have improved our experience. Some time we hope to come back and see the fall leaves.

A piece of heaven- a magical place

I’ve travelled plenty, stayed in amazing places, this by far took my breath away! Michael and Jyoti became our friends instantly! It is peaceful, beautiful. The meditation room is what I needed. And there was absolutely nothing that we needed or wanted that was not already provided. I can not wait to come back again. Going to miss this Narnia. Highly highly recommend!

The amenities and the location matched with amazing hosts makes for the best Vrbo in the area! Fishing,hiking, relaxation and much more plus a close ride to Hershey Park and many other excursions! Overall an amazing experience and a perfect weekend

A peaceful oasis in Dauphin

We could not have been happier with our stay at Michael and Jyoti's cottage. Every element of the cottage has been thoughtfully decorated and organized; the meditation room and beautifully landscaped trail by the creek elevated our stay beyond our expectations. A shimmering gem in the woods

We feel so grateful to be able to stay here at this magical cottage for a long overdue getaway . Michael and Jyoti were so welcoming and hospitable and are truly amazing people (and Jyoti is an outstanding chef as well!). Everything was so perfect, the meditation room was absolutely incredible and inspiring. We spent as much time surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature as we possibly could, listening to the the water flow down the creek, hearing the melody of the birds and smelling the sweet fragrance of the blossoming flowers and pines. The cottage was comfy and cozy with all the modern touches and conveniences that made us feel at home away from home. We leave here feeling rejuvenated, renewed, grounded, healed and look forward to staying here again someday soon.

Beautiful, relaxing stay

Book this place! It's even more beautiful in person. This was the perfect home for a relaxing weekend getaway. Michael and Jyoti were gracious, communicative hosts, who provided lots of thoughtful details and recommendations. The house is modern and stylish, while still cozy and welcoming. Beautiful area, close to some fun hikes, cool shops, and great restaurants.

An oasis of calm

The Cottage on Clark’s Creek was the best weekend getaway we’ve done! Michael and Jyoti are impeccable hosts and their property just oozes calmness and tranquility. Me and my partner were looking to have a weekend stress free and away from the city and that was just what we had. Could not recommend this property enough, we are hoping to coming back soon!

Great place, great location

The cottage provided a pleasant stay at an ideal location for a weekend of Appalachian Trail day hikes. Clark's Valley is scenic. Even the drive up Clark's Valley Road was enjoyable. The cottage was attractive, clean, and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the tea house and the setting on Clark Creek. It was better than described in the property listing. The weather was fair and we relaxed there with morning coffee, afternoon wine, and evening pizza and beer. Stone steps and paths led to the creek. I fished there briefly and caught trout. Beyond the creek was undisturbed forest.The AT was minutes away and offered scenic hikes west to the Susquehanna and east into St. Anthony's Wilderness. All in all a great weekend.

Wonderful property

Perfect location, very quiet area right next to a stream. Property was well maintained inside and out. Host made us feel welcome and shared some of what they’d grilled for dinner. We were on a DIY fishing trip. Plenty of room for parking and gear/boat prep. Fished the stream one evening. Highly recommend this property.

The best experience

The cottage and surroundings make for a very serene and enjoyable time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.. The meditation room which is around 50' from the cottage is amazing and right next to the calming sound of the creek flowing . I also want to give a special thanks to Michael and Jyoti for not only being amazing hosts but for making it feel like a home away from home . I will definitely be back and already looking forward to the next stay.

Great Stay in the Woods

Stayed for a lacrosse tournament in Hershey. A bit of a drive but super easy and worth the drive. The property is beautiful and the house well appointed. There are a lot of ants but you are in the woods so it’s to be expected. Everything was provided as well….not typical of VRBOs so that was a nice perk (pump soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bath salts, kleenex, extra tissue paper, well stocked kitchen, etc). Great area to relax by the water too (but remember your bug spray)!

Just like family

This property not only provided a serene, relaxing, comfortable stay. It provided the extra touch from the property owners. From the moment you walk in, there was relaxing music playing and an essential oil machine providing a complete relaxing environment. The meditation room is an excellent spot to unwind, and we were able to get to know Jyohti. We were provided with recommendations for hiking and dining, and all of them were excellent. My daughter said that if we could give more stars then we would. This property definitely exceeded all of our expectations.

Memorial Day weekend

AT Hiking

Peaceful Weekend Getaway

My sister and I both have very busy schedules, and this property was a wonderful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature. Because of the generous eat-in counter, we used the kitchen table for puzzles and games. The heating throughout is powerful and the fireplace is a cozy perk on colder days/evenings. Both beds were incredibly comfortable, and the bedding felt luxurious. The half bathroom upstairs is perfect for middle-of-the-night potty runs. :-) Though we couldn’t get the auxiliary speaker to work, the TV was a great size and provided good sound for movie nights. The provided bath salts were a soothing addition to my sister’s baths. We absolutely loved playing music from the google tablet in the kitchen. Michael was a phenomenal host! He made sure we had everything we needed for the stay, and provided more just in case. We got great recommendations for hiking and dining in the area, though we didn’t need it. The property features ‘nature art’ which was fun to walk through. We totally enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to visit again!
