Beautiful, designer owned, luxury condo at the Pelican Beach Resort. The resort is made up of 2 buildings with shared amenities. Our condo is in the Terrace Bldg. which has 3 bed/2 bath units, 3 bed/3 bath units, and 2 bed/2 bath units. The Pelican building does not have 3-bedroom units. Steps to the Beach, featuring a large balcony to enjoy spectacular views of the ocean, lake and sunsets. Resort amenities include 4 Pools, 3 spas, 2 workout rooms, tennis courts, pickleball, conference rooms, Cafe/Market, and Beachside Tiki hut. Last year Southern Living Magazine Readers Poll rated our Beach as one of the top 3 most beautiful beaches in the United States. The Resort is located on the beach side of Highway 98 across from Big Kahunas Waterpark, putt-putt and track. Within 2 miles, you'll find the Harbor where you can enjoy waterfront dining, live music, fishing charters, boat and wave runner rentals and the Harborwalk Entertainment Complex including, Harry T's, AJ's, Dewey Destin, the Oyster Bar and Harbor Tavern, shopping & family activities. One mile East is the famous Back Porch, The Track & Putt Putt. We have many repeat renters and excellent reviews in our guest book.
An awesome Family Destination, our family has been vacationing in Destin for 20 years now and there is no place like it. The 8 of us enjoy the beach, the less crowded Terrace Pool, the new ocean front pool, going to Fishermans Wharf at the harbor for family fishing charters and walking the docks in the afternoon to see what all the fishing charters are bringing in for the days catch. It truly is the Worlds Luckiest Fishing Village. We stroll down the docks to AJ's on the harbor where the live music starts at 5pm every day and enjoy some fresh seafood. Another family favorite is walking east on the beach to the Back Porch for lunch. The bronzed Amberjack is always great! There are Kayak rentals, parasailing, and beach chairs and umbrellas to rent on the Beach in advance from Dolce Vita. At times the ocean is so still & crystal clear you can see a freckle on your toe in waist deep water. Other times the surf comes roaring in and then the waves are perfect for boogie boarding. Every day is a new day, but each one holds uncompromised beauty. The sunsets from our balcony or the beach are second to none!

The dining opportunities are endless! For Beachfront casual we like Pompano Joes or you can walk right off the beach in your flip flops, sand in your toes to the famous Back Porch. For elegant dining on the harbor the Marina Cafe. Boshamps on the harbor is another favorite. No trip would be complete without an evening at Baytown Village on the Bay. Lots of restaurants, shops, live music and family activities. Also do not miss the Harborwalk entertainment complex on the harbor with shops, fly overs and family dining at Harry T's, Dewey Destin, Harbor Tavern, and live music at The Oyster Bar or AJ's. Winn Dixie grocery is right across Hwy 98, as well as Another Broken Egg or you can walk to the Pancakery for breakfast or Cafe Capriccio.
A Fresh Market, and Whole foods are a few miles east and a Publix near the Bay bridge. Fresh seafood at Sextons, Destin Ice. If you love sushi go to Harbor Docks, very casual, and it's on the harbor. Biggest portions and best steak, pork chops & ribs are at McGuires. Go early or try carry out during the summer.
