This 700 sq ft one bedroom, full bath tiny home located on a private ranch in a rural setting offers more than a nice and very quiet place to sleep. While staying at this property you can wake up to a beautiful view of Colorado mountain landscapes while enjoying a cup of coffee watching ducks and birds float on a nearby pond and livestock grazing the fields.

We are located in the small rural town of Bayfield, and this location is 30 minutes from Downtown Durango and the Durango Airport, 1 hour from Purgatory Ski Area, 1 hour and twenty minutes from Wolf Creek Ski Area, 1.5 hours from Mesa Verde National Park, 1 hour and twenty minutes from Canyons of the Ancient, 45 minutes from Aztec Ruins National Monument, and 25 minutes to Vallecito Lake . It's a great getaway that is close to the hustle and bustle of town.

This cabin shares property with the main residence that is 200 feet away, so daily chores, dog play and activities will occur during your stay. Please note that the house is located in a rural area. Despite our cleaning and maintenance efforts, you may encounter insects and/or wildlife in and around the property. For this reason it is very important you keep all screens to windows as well as doors closed all the time to avoid entry of insects/wildlife into the house. Even the best prevention efforts aren't guaranteed.

We are a dog friendly property; however, dogs are not to be left unattended during your stay. We have a one pet maximum, with a $25 pet fee. The property is not fenced.

Escaping the Arkansas Humidity in July!
We love the Bayfield/Durango area and found your little cabin online. It was exactly what we had hoped for! It was quiet, comfortable, and had everything we needed! We hope to return again next year!

Came to Bayfield for my puppy to have surgery. Very beautiful and very relaxing. Pictures don't do it justice. The sunset and sunrise where amazing ❤️

Tiny Home retreat near Bayfield CO
Property was spotless. Such quiet and solitude…exactly what we were looking for. Tastefully furnished…felt like home. Llamas were fun to watch. Views of La Platas to the North expansive and wonderful. Mattress was very nice. So much better than any hotel. Thanks Veronica

20th Wedding Anniversary
Granted our stay was short and we were out and about. However, we were very happy with the peace and solitude of a rural cabin. We slept so well in the comfy bed and happy to have our coffee already made each morning. Cabin/tiny home is cute as a button.

Rural cabin plus sunsets.
Very clean, well maintained and equipped "cabin" in a beautiful rural area a few miles from Bayfield, CO. Not that far from Durango with its fabulous train. Very quiet. Perfect for a couple. Great views of gorgeous sunsets. Enjoyed my stay while visiting my son-in-law, daughter and grand kids.

Peaceful Retreat
This cute tiny home with amazing views of the valley and mountains was perfect for the first part of our Colorado trip. Convenient location for day trips to New Mexico and the Durango area. Easy drive to Durango to ride the Durango-Silverton train. It was nice to come back home to peace and quiet and the mountain views after a busy day of sightseeing. The sunsets were beautiful during our stay! Veronica and her husband were great hosts and easy to communicate with. There was a book with restaurants and things to do in the area with host favorites marked. We tried the local Pine Cone restaurant that is a host favorite and it did not disappoint! The home has everything you need for a comfortable stay. When we come back to the Durango area we will stay here again.

Anniversary Get Away
What a hidden gem. This was the perfect little get away spot. It was so quiet and the sounds of the elk buggling as they went through the valley was impressive. Likewise for the stars at night! The views all around were great! Everything you need is available in this quaint little cabin. The bed is very comfortable and the hosts are the best! Thank you for having us, we hope to be back in the future.

Quiet with a view
This 1 bedroom stay was equiped with plenty of windows and views to provide access to birding, deer watching and the mountain views of the San Juan's across pastures with cattle and farms. We were gone to visit church family during the day but could acess the cabin easily from Buck Hwy and County Roads off of State Hwy 160. There is a great full kitchen and bathroom. The bed is firm with a wonderful quilt. There plenty of places to eat at downtown Bayfield.

This was an excellent place! It was just the right size for my wife and me. Plus, it was conveniently located for where we wanted to go and the things we wanted to do on vacation. We would definitely stay here again.

We were provided with everything we needed. Located in a beautiful, totally peaceful location with views as far as the eye could see. Grazing cows, sheep and llamas added to the calmness of the area. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Highly Recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this adorable tiny house. We visited Durango and Mesa Verde National Park while there, and really enjoyed staying out in the "wide open spaces" rather than in a hotel in town. Very peaceful and quiet location. We enjoyed watching the llamas, sheep, and cattle from the front porch. The kitchen was fully furnished and the king-size bed was very comfortable. We hope to return one day!

This VRBO is spotless! Perfect location for hiking. Convenient to lots of activities. Casino, Museum and Bayfield are within a 10 minute drive. Owners are lovely people and extremely responsive! We will be back!

Great Experience
This was my first time doing something like this. I absolutely loved it. The place was cute, had everything we needed. My lower stars for cleanliness of the property was because there were dead bugs everywhere, dog hair on the floor and under things and the fans were really dusty. Don’t get me wrong im a country girl and in no way mind a bit of a dirty house, and you wouldn't find anything different in my house but, I would have just liked to see more detail in the cleaning for a stronger first impression. The property itself was perfect. The views were breath taking, extremely quite and private. Super easy to access, easier to find in the daylight. Being in the country just means its super dark, which was the idea for selecting this property. Victoria was amazing, when I had questions she would respond really quickly and was really open with information. I love it that she owns Aussies, that just means she is a good person(we also own Aussies). I would love to stay here again when we come back to the area. Thank you so much for a great experience.

Hiking Trip
Veronica was a fantastic host. It was a nice spot to get away from the city. View of the stars were amazing at night. My host let me use her backyard for my dogs and the check-in process was smooth. Great communication. She even had a binder of information for things to do in the area. I would stay again if she let me.
