I rented this property to spend Thanksgiving weekend down in Vegas with family. We were excited because it had a pool/hot tub (paid extra to heat), and it advertised as newly remodeled. When we checked in, the owner was there to show us how to use the pool/hot tub, and give us keys. Really nice man, and check in was fine. After he left we went to turn on the heater for the house, and it did not work. Called owner, and he had someone come look at it. Didn’t work, so he brought space heaters for us to use for the night. I also immediately noticed that the floors were dusty like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Tried to clean them myself, but couldn’t find supplies. So on Thanksgiving we had to go to the store for supplies so I could clean the floors and counters which were dirty. The master bath was also disgusting with hair and debris in the shower. Later that same day the owner informed me that the heater was completely broken and had to be replaced so he offered to give a partial refund for us to vacate. I immediately agreed, and found a fabulous rental nearby. I felt like this wonder rushed to place this house on Vrbo, and did not do the due diligence in cleaning his own property. I do think I should have been given a full refund based on the condition he chose to rent the house out in, and the fact that the issues with the house affected mine and my family’s ability to enjoy our vacation without stress. I would not recommend this rental unless he changes his policies on cleanliness.
