About this property

Tranquility Awaits - a quiet, secluded spot amidst trees and gardens

A peaceful, well-maintained 2-bedroom home at the end of a lane with no through traffic. Surrounded by trees and gardens. A birder’s delight. You may even see a deer amble by. Feels far away from the hustle and bustle, but is convenient to both Rt. 6A and Rt. 124. The beach and spectacular sunsets on Paine’s Creek are less than 3 miles away. The Cape Cod bike trail and swimming at Seymour Pond or Long Pond are a mile away. The property has an extensive garden, an outdoor shower, and Weber charcoal grill. Enjoy the stars as you toast marshmallows at the firepit. The large eat-in country kitchen is well equipped with plenty of room for cooks. The living room with reclining chairs and sofa is a great place to read one of the books on the shelf, listen to music or play a game from the cabinet. Upstairs are 2 large bedrooms with queen size beds, desks and plenty of closet space. A full bath is just outside the bedrooms. A half bath is on the first floor.

Property rents Saturday to Saturday, full weeks only from May 25 through September 14. Outside the summer rental season, the property can be booked for a minimum stay of 2 nights or 3 nights during holiday weekends.

Please note: Depending on the weather, the garden will need to be accessed by owner for watering once or twice during the week. Owner will not need access to the house and guests can go about their vacation undisturbed.

Relaxing Family Vacation

Perfect retreat for a family. We have 2 preteens and this house worked great for us, the bedrooms and the common areas are a good size, everything is clean and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked. The outdoor shower was our favorite!

Awesome Week!

This was a wonderful stay! The property is surrounded by woods with a lovely backyard that is creatively landscaped. A great place to chill out after a day at the beach. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the bed in the primary bedroom was very comfortable. We also appreciated the excellent communication from our host. We look forward to returning!

Perfection

Brewster is cape cod!!! From great restaurants, ice cream at Scoop, days at the beaches and art galleries or antiquing. It has it all! 62 Camelot lane was the icing on the cake!! A perfect house! Equipped and cozy. Outdoor garden and shower add to the overall serene ambience! A beautiful cottage in the woods near everything. Can’t wait to return!!!

Home sweet home

This home has everything to make your stay a delight! We visit the Cape every summer and decided on the Brewster area as our home base. Grounds are private with many areas to relax and enjoy nature. Jill and Ed were attentive during our stay and offered suggestions to help us out. We explored the bay beaches, enjoyed sunsets, seafood and trips up to Wellfleet and P-town. We highly recommend this home to all.

Great stay in Cape Cod

This was a fantastic house in the cozy town of Brewster, central to most of Cape Cod. The house is newly built, the yard is incredible, and the hosts really care. Highly recommend staying here.

Lovely cape stay

My family and I stayed at Jill and Ed’s house and can’t recommend it enough. The peace and quiet but still close to food and beaches was wonderful. Our family of three loved our weeklong-stay and hope to be able to return in the future.

Enjoyable, quiet vacation.

Property has a few homes around it, all are the homeowners. This home is not in a grouping of vacation homes. It is in a wooded area, convenient to our usual Cape Cod activities. Beautiful garden, relaxing yard, since you are mostly surrounded by trees, and just the sounds of nature. No noise pollution or light pollution. The house is off of an unpaved road, so I think it keeps any thru traffic out of the area. The home itself is very nice, the main level has the living room, dining/kitchen and then a hall with a closet and laundry and bath. Upstairs is the full bath and two large bedrooms. Beautiful pine flooring on main level and the stairs. Awesome outdoor shower with vines over the top of an arbor and a charcoal grill, fire pit and a few sitting areas. Great spot for small family of 3-4 people. Hosts were very nice and greeted us in person for checking in. Hope to reserve again next year.

A wonderful return visit

I have little to add from my previous review of a year past. Our lingering impression from our summer of 2021 visit, which was of a uniquely charming, comfortable and beautifully appointed and equipped home away from home, was fully sustained during our week's stay this year (late Aug, 2022).

Great vacation spot

We have travelled to the Cape many years ago but this was our first trip without the children. The house was amazing and the owners were great. Private yard lots of birds and flowers. Central location to all our old favourite locations. Highly recommend this house!

Idyllic vacation spot

This house is so charming, and perfect for a Cape getaway! It’s quiet and secluded, but located quite close to 6A and downtown Brewster. Since it’s centrally located, it makes a perfect home base from which to explore the Cape. The rail trail and Nickerson Park are nearby, as well as Paine’s Beach (voted by all of us as Most Beautiful Beach). 45 minutes to Provincetown, half an hour to Yarmouth. The house feels very spacious, with plenty of light, warm pine flooring, and rustic fixtures. The beds were super comfortable! We also loved the outdoor shower (well stocked with three different types of gel), the birds, the beautiful gardens with whimsical sculptures, and the firepit. It was fun to roast marshmallows, listen to the late summer chorus of crickets, and look at the stars. The living room shelves have a good selection of books, CDs, and games. Jill and Ed were very nice, attentive hosts. We would love to stay here again!

Excellent spot

Located on a dirt road that's off of a dirt road, the cottage is surrounded by gardens and rich green woods. It's a peaceful setting, but you are still comfortably within reach of many excellent Cape attractions and amenities. The home is very well cared for and well appointed. Jill and Ed were kind and attentive hosts. A great place to stay on the Cape!

Adorable and Peaceful - GREAT owners!

We have been coming to the Cape for over 50 years and this is one of my favorite cottages to date! We loved everything about it and would love to stay here again. This is a 2BR 2 BA (1 full bath + 1 powder room + outdoor shower) cottage with plenty of room both inside and out. The house is an adorable old-Cape style cottage and the grounds are amazing. HOUSE: 3 adults stayed here and we had plenty of space. Aside from 2 good-sized and comfortable bedrooms (with plenty of drawers, spaces to sit, and a desk), there is also a comfy LR with recliners and a big sofa, a huge eat-in kitchen, and a 'utility' area with laundry, closets, storage, etc. The kitchen is incredibly well-stocked with everything you need to cook and eat real meals, including some spices, a blender, and a very handy cuisinart toaster over / broiler. Everything worked well and I enjoyed being in the kitchen and watching some very colorful birds at the feeder right outside the kitchen windows. There are window AC units - we were there during the recent heat wave and we were very comfortable. There is beautiful artwork throughout the house. We did not watch TV but there is a big TV in the LR. OUTSIDE: Wow the grounds are are amazing! The grounds are huge with beautiful flowers & shrubs, and a really big vegetable garden. There are lots of little areas to be outside and enjoy the very bucolic setting - there is an outdoor table & chairs, as well as other sitting areas. There is an outdoor shower which we all used daily as it was soooo peaceful. The area is secluded so the shower is very private. There are bird feeders so the bird-watching is wonderful; we saw many other adorable critters (including a chipmunk who always waited for me to get out of the shower so he could go grab a drink of water). There is a grill and a firepit but we used neither. OWNERS: Owners Ed & Jill are GREAT! They were super responsive from my first inquiry and throughout. They met us at the cottage (early!) to give us keys and show us around. They answered all my questions promptly and were very kind when I texted them that I broke a glass. They live nearby in case you need them but they gave us complete privacy. BOTTOM LINE: Adorable comfortable and well-stocked cottage, amazing beautiful secluded grounds, responsive and kind owners. Love!

Absolute perfection on the Cape

I’ve been visiting the Cape all my life but this was our first stay in Brewster. We could not have imagined a better home. Clean, well-appointed, and with plenty of space to relax indoors and out. The garden and outdoor space was just spectacular. The owners have a love of the Cape and it’s natural beauty that is evident. The property is private but close to everything, including shopping, beaches, and great activities for the kids. 10/10!

Nestled in the Charming Heart of the Cape

Charming, comfy, inviting and evocative of real Cape Cod landscape and living. Ideal place to relax and enjoy the natural treasures of the Cape. Brewster has many fresh ponds to choose from by day pass and access to natural and uncrowded shorelines on the bay here and in Dennis. Lots of open space to hike, bike, swim, kayak, sunbathe. Property is snug in the woods and beautifully light morning and eve, tucked in the woods. The road in is quiet enough to stroll in the morning or evening. Lots of good seafood nearby. Recommend Guapo's for fun tacos and the seafood store across the lot for fresh fish. Owners are very considerate and caretake the property with love. Lots of fun stuff to peruse or play games if you have a rainy day. Nice neighbor. Townsfolk are exceptionally friendly. Best place we've stayed on the Cape yet.

Secluded Gem

We had a wonderful time, and this house had everything we could ask for. It sits in the trees at the end of a lane, and is very private. The owners have stocked the house with everything you could need including things to do inside when the weather is bad. Outside fire pit was a definite plus. Great communication from owner too. We would stay here again for sure.

This is a wonderful home. Perfect for our family of four.

This beautifully situated property, virtually surrounded by woods, yet easily accessible to a full array of recreational options and all amenities and shopping, was a perfect "home base" for our family of four. Though quite compact, it clearly reflects a labor of love on its owners part: beautifully decorated and fully equipped. We loved being there and enjoyed our contact with its intelligent and responsive hosts. We hope to return.
