I took my family to Pinetop for a quick getaway and to go skiing. The location of this property was great. Close to all the restaurants and also in walking distance to Rainbow Lake. The home was fully stocked w/ everything we needed to cook meals. We came back from a long day of skiing, put some burgers on the grill, put the fire on, and relaxed and watched a movie. The house was clean and communicating w/ the owner was great. The backyard was large and great for our dog. This was a great stay for my family and and we are happy to recommend this property to anyone!
We absolutely loved hanging out on the deck drinking coffee in the morning, watching the games on the tv outside and chilling in the hammocks listening to music.
Above all, if you have fur babies, they will LOVE the huge back yard!
This was my third time staying here. House is clean. Enough room for 4 audits. Dogs love the big fully fenced yard. Owner responded quickly when advised the coffee pot was not working.
Would stay here again
My dad and brothers and I came though Arizona on a motorcycle trip and got to stay at this house for a couple days. Great location. Comfortable. And easy to find / get too. We will definitely be back
Quiet home is wooded area. Nice yard fenced for dogs. Many outdoor activities provided by owner (corn hole, badmitten, etc). Nice fire pit and smores bar. Spent the week enjoying the atea from this location.

This is our 2nd visit to this property. This year, we stayed for 3 weeks, to get of the summer heat in Mesa AZ. We love the house, the yard, the front patio and back deck, fire pit…and so much more. The host is always quick to respond to any message. We hope to be back again next year.
We are repeat guests at the Hideaway. Very grateful for the chance to spend 2 weeks enjoying the escape from the heat. The property owners are so attentive, and communication is fantastic, we felt very welcome. The property and all the amenities make for a lovely stay, very close to some great day trip options if desired or just relaxing on the extended patio in the pines. We would love the chance to return, perhaps with a longer-term rental. Only dislike (VRBO) their fees are obscene, the owners deserve those funds. IMO.
Has everything our family needs for a summer get-away. Good central location, three nice bedrooms, modern kitchen, great covered porch, and big fenced yard for dog.
House was clean. Some dishes left in the dishwasher. Towels in the dryer. Overall we had a great time. Nice to sit and watch the snow. Thanks for working with us.
Very nice property. Nice that we were able to bring our dog along for the trip. Just the 3 of us, so we only used half of the house. This was a business trip. Maybe a "fun" trip next time.
My friend and I just wanted to spend time in Pinetop/Lakeside escaping from the Valley heat. We visited some of our favorite stores contributing to the local economy and enjoyed meals at Darbie’s, Grumpy Jakes and Cafe Pinoli.
There were four adults. Plenty of room, loved the outdoor space. Our dogs really liked the fenced yard. Location was great, nice and quiet. We will be back.
Nice property with plenty of space to enjoy inside and out. The backyard is fully fenced which is great for dogs. Outside and inside games available. Plenty of things to do with the family. Rainbow Lake is very close. We enjoyed renting a boat and fishing out on the lake.

About the host

Greetings! As Arizona natives, my wife and I both hail from the western region of Phoenix. Our affection for the Pinetop area dates back to 2008, sparking a dream to one day own a home here. In 2020, that dream became a reality, and we're thrilled to extend the same joy to our guests. Winter months find us indulging in skiing, snowboarding, and sledding, followed by cozy family board game nights or a marshmallow-roasting fire. As temperatures rise in the summer, we seek refuge from the heat by taking our jon boat out on the lakes. My wife especially enjoys paddle boarding, and when we're not on the water, we're likely enjoying activities like disc golf, pickleball, or making memories at Sunrise with our kids. Join us in experiencing the magic of Pinetop firsthand!
Why they chose this property
Our love affair with this area blossomed due to its proximity to a serene lake. Nestled on a hill, our home sits on a secluded dirt road, enveloped by lush trees. Despite our tranquil setting on a private street with minimal traffic, convenience is still within reach, with shopping centers just a short 7-10 minute drive away. Enjoy the best of both worlds: peaceful seclusion and easy access to town amenities.

Our property offers a genuine retreat experience, where you can embrace tranquility listening to the soothing sounds of birds and swaying trees. Alternatively, for the more active individual, there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor enjoyment right at home. Engage in lively games of cornhole or horseshoes, or gather the family for a barbecue on our expansive 700+ square foot patio. Whether you seek relaxation or recreation, our property caters to all preferences.
