There are not gorgeous lake views from the unit. The “kitchen” is an inaccurate description. The refrigerator is tiny, the freezer has a mini single ice tray that takes over night to freeze. There is a microwave and a very small toaster oven. Don’t plan on creating a meal here, you can make toast or a sandwich. That is inconvenient in if you stay Monday and Tuesday the local restaurants are closed. Don’t plan on guests to come and eat with you because there are only two plates and bowls. A plus, there was a ton of wildlife with deer, turkeys and neighbor’s chickens and rooster.
This is a lovely place to escape the city life. It is exactly as listed. Just a short walk to the water and cute shops. I would recommend this place highly!
What a beautiful place to stay! The property is gorgeous (and just as depicted), everything was very clean, and the hosts were very gracious. The little town of Harrison is cute and a short walk from the guest house. I would love to return for a longer stay!
Comfy, clean, and quiet. We had a very nice stay. Biking the Trail of the Coeur D,
'Alene was great.

Our stay was such a delight and wonderful to come back to after several hours on the trail. It was dark and quiet at night and just up the hill from town to feel secluded. As a guest house we missed the stove but it was a great place to stay and ride the Trail of the Coeur D' Alene. The Hosts were great with communication and very helpful in making our trip successful. I would recommend staying here! Thank you both!

This property is very special if you want a private, relaxing and peaceful stay.
Maple Pines was decorated super cute and cozy. The bed was very comfy as well. When we wanted down time to relax after long days of activities, bike riding the trail of Coeur d'Alenes/Hiawatha,site seeing, etc. there was a nice deck to enjoy and large TV situated perfectly in front of the cozy couch. Graham and Sian were great hosts! They even placed chairs for us in the perfect spot in their yard to enjoy the lake views, sunsets, listen to the birds chirp and the woodpecker peck. Harrison is an adorable little town! I am glad we chose it as our base camp. It is easily accessible to drive to multiple towns for activities and site seeing like Wallace, Kellogg, Coeur d'Alene, etc.We hope to return!
Very clean and cozy living space with everything needed. A very short walk from town but far enough away from the noise that i slept like a rock. The fresh apples were a nice touch and very much appreciated. Very easy to find, park, and entry was super easy. Also waking up to deer and chickens in the front yard was a nice touch.
I would definitely recommend this place and will use again when in the area.
The room had everything we needed. The setting was great in a quiet neighborhood near downtown Harrison. There was some wildlife on the property. The hosts were great and answered all of our questions and gave us some valuable advice on where to go and what to do.
Maybe I didn't read the description closely enough to see that the kitchen isn't really equipped for cooking a full meal. So we brought the fixings to cook and there is no oven or cooktop. There's a microwave, toaster oven and toaster. But overall, it was a charming place. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and the view was lovely, although it was smoky. The hill up to the house is longer and steeper than I realized it would be. Not a big deal until we walked our bikes up it! The trails are fantastic and we saw lots of wildlife. It was worth the trip and warrants a return trip.
My husband and I had a very delightful stay during our 3 day visit at Graham Mitchell’s Maple Pines cabin. Graham was very readily available to us and responded within minutes to our requests and questions. The cabin was exactly as described. It was immaculate, comfortable, cozy and in a perfect location our anniversary get away. The town is quaint and the restaurants and Harrison Creamery and Fudge Shop provided delicious meals and desserts!
We felt so blessed to have found such a heart warming place for our time together.
We hope to return someday soon.

This was a wonderful rental. You literally feel like you’re nestled in the trees above the lake. Tidy and cozy and so quiet and relaxing. Will definitely be back!!

The guest house was cute and clean. Many things misrepresented in description. There was no breathtaking view from deck only view of house across the way(lacking in privacy) and large tree blocking the lakeview.
Pictures make it look like it’s close to lake but it’s not..... maybe 3-4 blocks away up a dirt road.
Just beware that the town of historic Harrison is a sleepy town with limited places to eat so if you want to venture out for more of a variety you better head to Couer dAlene which is long winding road that takes about 50 minutes. Forget about driving back after dinner and a few drinks....not a safe idea!
Yes, the location is secluded but NOT convenient by any stretch!
This property was beautiful, charming and so comfortable. It was built this year and has that new cottage feeling to it. It really was a perfect relaxing place for us to celebrate our 36th anniversary. The little town of Harrison is nearby and very charming. We were not aware that the city of Coeur d'Alene was a 45 minute drive from the guest house. I'm glad we didn't know or we might have missed this. The drive to the city every day was a big highlight. The drive along the lake road or the country road was such a treat. Sunset over the lake while driving home was a memory we will treasure. We were in no hurry and completely enjoyed the calm laid-back experience of the area. Graham and Sian were wonderful friendly hosts and were easily available. Their British accents just added to the charm! I couldn't leave a review without mentioning the charming hen, her 15 chicks that followed her and the wild turkeys that strutted around. Watching them display their plumage was a real treat for this town girl who grew up on a farm and misses the country. Thank you Graham and Sian for a wonderful experience and sharing your bit of heaven with us.
We had a lovely time in the little town of Harrison. While it was an hour’s drive from Coeur d’Alene, we got to enjoy a brand new private retreat with calming views of woods, water, deer and chickens. And a nice little beach a short walk away. Much attention to detail was given to cottage. There is no cooking or electric frying pan/hot plate, but we made good use of the microwave. And found plenty of supplies at the local market. We had a tasty meal at the grill overlooking the harbor. The bedding is plush and the towels are thick. The balcony and cute furniture and cozy living room set/up were great places to relax with a good book or Netflix movie. I miss it already!
Having the bike shop at the bottom of the hill was another bonus. The bike trail is awesome and we even saw a moose!
Owners were very responsive and the fridge came with water and a filtered water jug and coffee and tea. A great getaway! Weekends are busier, but every day at the cottage was a treat and did not disappoint!

Very nice property, just as described and shown in photos. Clean. comfortable, well appointed and peaceful. Has a microwave and a small refrigerator for easy meals and an espresso machine. Very relaxing and away from everything. We loved having coffee in the morning on the porch watching the chicken and deer that would come by. Hosts very nice and helpful. If you are looking for a comfortable "away from everything", this is your place.
