The owner was very kind & helpful when I needed him ( wifi info, problems unlocking door) but a busy fellow. My experience was ok compared to last reviewer. Stayed 4 days.
Photos are dated, furnishings: simple, some vintage, arty or eclectic. No rugs, but 1 worn, small bath rug. location is away from the street, in a sort of court yard/street driveway where several 4-5 story buildings face each other. A secure coded gate at the street & at the building entrance. Old building with modern glass entry /electronic lock. Up 3 flights winding, narrow stairs, very heavy apt, entry doors. I couldn’t unlock the door, so owner came to help , but I didn’t have the strength/ skill to open it later. I had to tape/block 1 lock to use the door ( remaining set of 6 deadbolts worked simultaneously & ok for me to use). 4 new windows 1 in each room, open multiple ways, but living & bedroom curtains do not provide privacy (or block sun) from apartment buildings across the way. No screens, air conditioning or fans, but the weather in midJuly was fairly cool for Paris.
Space is ample for 2 people, but designed for taller renters. I (5’1”) could not reach upper level cupboards or shelves nor the shower curtain bar for example. No towel bars or racks in bath and almost no closet space for hanging clothing. I did not use the television or any electric appliances. Wifi was good once it was on. Easy walking distance to shops, cafes and metro. I came & left by train at Gare du Nord.
