Neat little cottage that looked to be recently refurbished with very good quality appliances, good water pressure and two outdoor sitting/relaxing areas. Right down town, close to nice eating places and just few minutes from St Georges Island. Our third visit to Apalachicola but first time here. Will plan to go back again.
Nice 1 bedroom cottage with full kitchen, living room, bath, washer & dryer. It is 1 block from downtown. Close to restaurants, brewery, gifts, etc. Several beautiful beaches 15-20 minutes away. Enjoyed our stay. Fenced yard handy for pet.
This property is always a pleasure to stay. Location is great, property is always perfect place to stay! This was our fourth stay and have always enjoyed it!
The cottage was clean and just a few steps from downtown. Even though it was so close it was very quiet and comfortable. The yard was beautifully landscaped and we had everything we needed.
This place is absolutely beautiful and clean.. and so homey feeling!! Walk right to downtown and then just across the bridge to SHI beach!! Did not want to leave.. I could seriously live here!! Can’t wait to come back this winter!!!!
Loved it all but the bed needs to be a king. Just small for two adults. We are not big people but the bed is small. Everything else was wonderful for a different experience. Love Apalachicola. We have been coming her about 2 times a month for about 2 years. Please get a larger bed so we will book another stay.
This was our first time in Apalachicola and we had the best weekend! The Oystertown Cottage was clean, accommodating, and within walking distance to all the bars, restaurants, and shops.
The hosts were very communicative and helpful.
We will 100% be back!
Second we’ve stayed at oyster cottage and just love! Clean, bright, well cared for, cozy- small cottage but rooms nicely done and well maintained- so easy to get around town from this location! Definitely a favorite place to stay in Apalachiacola plus we were able to bring our dog- a bonus!
4th or 5th time we've stayed at the yellow cottage and it was perfect as always. Comfy bed, perfect location and having the washer/dryer is wonderful. We always buy catfood and feed the neighborhood kitties. The black and white one is especially affectionate! We'll be back to stay again.
First time to Apalachicola and Oyster Cottage was a perfect location to enjoy all the charm of the area. Walking distance to downtown for shopping and restaurants. Close access to bridge for beaches and exploring Eastpoint and St. George Island.

Great little spot close to downtown perfect for my husband and me.
Love this cottage. I’ve been coming down to Apalach for a long time and always wanted to stay here.
It’s beautiful and very comfortable. Just the perfect size for a short getaway.
This property was exactly as described, appropriately equipped, and in the perfect location for staying in Apalach and walking anywhere you’d like to go.
We ran into one minor snafu checking in and the property owner was quick respond and resolved the issue almost immediately so we were able to enjoy our stay without issue.
The only item travelers should be aware of is that there is an adjoining property that can be rented separately by another party. This would have been awkward for sharing the patio space, walkways, and gated entrance with strangers but an amazing arrangement if you are traveling with friends.
Bottom line: recommended for sure! We hope to stay here again.
I thought this cottage was perfect for our short Christmas visit. It worked out great for my dog and I. The fenced in area was a great surprise that allowed my dog some exploration space. I’ll be booking again!
I am actually honored to write this review. I have used VRBO on numerous occasions and I can honestly say this was THE BEST rental I have ever had. Small cottage feel that was extremely clean with new appliances, well appointed, with comfortable bet. All within a very easy walk around town. The owner has thought about everything to make you very comfortable. I will definitely be returning to this location for an extended stay. Don’t hesitate to rent this property!! Thank you to the owner!!!
