Month away from the north
The curb appeal is solid. Unfortunately, things went downhill after that. If you’re going to stay for a month, this place is not equipped for that. The kitchen is not well equipped at all for cooking and the appliances are cheap and not up to the quality for the prices charged for the property . . For the amount of money we were spending for a month, you would’ve thought that the upkeep of the property overall would’ve been better. There were chips in the walls and the cabinetry. There’s missing parts of the baseboard and there were cracks in the flooring. There are ant traps throughout and roaches were frequent visitors- management stated that this is a tropical environment and everyone has them. I have many friends in the area who deny that roaches are a common problem. During heavy rains, the ceiling in the garage and the back door in the garage leak into the garage. I’m glad I didn’t put my car in the garage because it might have been stained by the leaking. One of the surprises was that the third bathroom was in the garage. That was not explained in the description of the property and it was inconvenient at best. They don’t supply beach towels But they do supply towels that you could use by a pool. The pool itself was one of the best things in the place. Clean, warm, salt water. , the arc of the sun is such that it is hidden after about 1 PM from the pool area. The pool as a whole area does not get sun during the day : 2/3 of the pool area is more shaded. In the master bathroom there was one sink which makes it difficult for a couple, but the shower was great. I have a house that I used to rent through VRBO and I expected this experience to be similar to my house. Unfortunately, it was not. While the house is probably OK for a weekend or a few days more than that, it’s not suitable for long-term rentals.
