Great Cabin, phenomenal Owners!

The cabin was exactly as advertised. Clean and upkept with a wonderful view of the river (and the homemade syrup is delicious). But after hitting a deer, words cannot express the gratitude that we have to Matt and Kelly for everything that they did to help us out of a terrible situation. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at their cabin again, and any future renters should know that the Owners are stand up people who care for their rental and the people who stay there.

Quiet cabin on the river!

Nice quiet location with a beautiful river view. The cabin had games and movies to enjoy and plenty of space to relax. There is also a propane grill on the deck. We enjoyed a fire in the pit and smores as the sun set. We would stay again if we were ever in the area.

Beautiful Setting

The trailer is accurately pictured in the listing. It’s an older trailer that has been remodeled. The bathroom and kitchen were very nicely updated. The bedrooms are decent size. The setting is so nice. There are neighbors on either side pretty close and there is a neighbor dog that wanders the property but he didn’t seem aggressive (but also not very friendly). The river is so peaceful and we loved the swing by the river as well as the fire pit. We normally go camping every year with our best friends but now with toddlers we decided to upgrade from tents and this was the best of both worlds! My only complaint is that the home does have a very strong odor to the point where I didn’t even want to be inside the first day. It did seem to improve when we aired out the house all day. Some of the odor appears to be very old cigarette smoke but unfortunately it also smelled as if the gusts before us were smoking inside and we found a lot of cigarette butts outside. Not necessarily the owners fault but maybe some non-smoking signs and fines for noncompliance would be helpful. Lastly, I love how stocked the place was and the washer/dryer was so nice to have!! Owners were so sweet and left us some homemade maple syrup - so yummy!

Quiet riverfront getaway

Stayed 5 nights with husband and 3 kids ages 14, 10, and 7. Comfortable beds and couches. The porch could also be used as a 3rd bedroom if you bring an air mattress. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need, but bring skewers if you want to roast marshmallows on the campfire (or just use sticks like we did)! Easy tubing and kayaking trips up- and down-river from the property. Great fishing, too- caught 10-12 smallmouth bass and northern during our stay, and saw a sturgeon in the water! Small grocery store is about 10 min away, and there’s a cozy bar/supper club down the road. Dave’s Falls, Crivitz, and Marinette all made fun day trips.

Good stay

We all had a great time, place was clean and had everything we needed. There were 6 of us and a dog Thanks to Kelly for the short notice on the dog coming, we worked out the extra fee very easy. We were able to get together with family for BBQ and a camp fire and the guys did a little fishing. A great time was had by all.

Amazing Place to Stay

Everything about this was about perfect. Contact with the host replies was about immediate. The house was as described, no issues. It was so quiet. The porch was amazing and we pretty much stayed on that the whole time we were there due to mosquitoes and ticks being bad in the area. The swing by the water was a great little spot to relax by the water. We definitely would like to return! Just to note we all thought the beds were soft for those who need to know that information. Definitely recommend.

Great base camp for adventures

We loved our cozy base camp that felt far away from everything but was convenient to all our destinations! We explored Dave’s Falls, watched a ship christening in Marinette, and sampled a few great microbrews around the area. We made fast friends with the family next door and had the great pleasure of sampling the maple syrup they we making!!

Wonderful Northwoods Retreat

We rented this house for 4 nights. It is very clean, and nicely decorated on the inside. The river views are deceiving as you could easily be misled into believing this is lakefront property. We were looking forward to using the firepit but unfortunately the weather decided to rain every evening we were there. Everything about the place is great and Kelly is very responsive when contacting her about anything, including when one of the party forgets a egg sandwich in the microwave after you check out and leave! If we end up back in the area we will for sure stay here again.

Sweet River Getaway

Great summer getaway

We enjoyed, the quiet. Cooked over the fire and the grill. Our pup was living her best life chasing squirrels and chippies. I think she ran after the acorns falling too. Lol. Loved running and swimming in the river. Also the pancakes and homemade syrup… a delicious treat.

Property just like in pics- not the Hilton but definitely has all the necessities like ac, stove , refrigerator, washer and dryer etc. great location for a canoe and fishing trip.

LOTS of peace and quiet!! Beautiful setting and everything I could need for a pleasant stay. Communicative, helpful owner. Nothing the owners can do anything about, and I'm only mentioning as an FYI to other travelers, cell service was weird - I have T-mobile, which doesn't work well in the area. Wifi was great! I had no issues working while I was there.

Long weekend getaway

We were looking for a cottage type place with a waterfront and terrific views with enough space for all to stay comfortable. The access driveway to the home is a narrow dirt road so be aware if you're like my son and have a sports car or wide vehicle. The mobile home appears to be an old mobile home that was nicely remodeled and has the addition of a sunroof and patio. There is a slight musky smell which air fresheners easily hide the smell if it bothers you. The kitchen has everything you need to function. The bedrooms are nice and beds comfortable. My daughter and her boyfriend took the sunroom and slept on an air mattress that we brought with us. My suggestion would be to put blinds on the windows so this could be a 3rd sleeping space and provide an air mattress. My adult son slept on the couch and was fine. Note the couch is not a pull out. We used the grill on the porch and sat on the porch to play games. The firepit area is larger than the pictures suggest and they provided plenty of wood. No mosquito problems! It would be nice to provide some solar lights along the path back to the house but that is minor. The swing provides an excellent view of the river and we spent a lot of time there. Saw kayakers, people fishing, lots of people leisurely floating down the river and was entertained by fish jumping and an eagle. We brought our kayaks and enjoyed ourselves. We also inner tubed to past the bridge to the boat landing. I would suggest bringing a paddle as you do tend to drift slow at times. We also tied our inner tunes to a long rope and a tree to just relax off shore. I have absolutely no complaints about the hosts. Who knows, maybe we will return again.

Unclean

Enjoyed the area very much but the home was not clean. There was evidence of mice and multiple spiders inside the house in the laundry area. Both drains in the bathroom were clogged. The floors were dirty. The air-conditioner filter was filthy before we cleaned it. The windows were dirty and full of spiders. I spent 2 hours getting it clean enough to function for us.

Very easy check in process, and great communication with the hosts of the property. They were very prompt answering us with any questions, and were very helpful with any questions we had. The property was i a great location, with amazing views. We had a wonderful extended weekend, and would definitely do it again.
