Charming old house, great new beds
While only two of us stayed at this spacious house, we were able to offer a gathering place for the extended family that came to Gillette for a wedding. We hosted brunch for 15 and enjoyed the many sitting areas inside and out. The beds could not have been more comfortable - really excellent. Big closets. The kitchen was well-stocked with pantry staples including sugar, spices and food wrap that I usually have to buy. The front stairs from the sidewalk do not have a handrail, and the indoor stairs could be difficult for someone with mobility challenges, but nothing out of the ordinary for a vintage house like this one, which offers a lot of charm. We went to the Frontier Auto Museum, and we enthusiastically recommend it. So much more than cars, it has rooms full of relics of earlier times such as a1960-70 beauty salon, a drugstore soda fountain, a fully equipped phone booth, and much more. We found it endlessly interesting.

Loved it!
Our large family from Michigan came for a Wyoming wedding. We were pleasantly surprised at how well equipped the house was for us to make all of the food we needed. It was clean and well taken care of. It was also great that it was walking distance to downtown shopping! We would highly recommend that if anyone needs a place to stay in the Gillette area they choose this place as Briana was a great host. Thanks again!

Home away from home!!
This is more then just a rental for us, it's more like home away from home! This home is charming, cozy, comfortable, full of beautiful furnishings!! The beds were very comfortable, the sheets are amazing!! The bathroom is very stylish and the towels are so awesome! The kitchen is fully stocked and love the gas stove, high quality dish washer and Maytag washer and dryer.. This is the best home we've ever rented, everything has been done and put together with love ♥️ Unfortunately did not get to enjoy the beautiful front porch and the back yard because of the cold weather, that would've been my hangout 😊 Thank you Briana for being such a great host, I'm sad that we can't stay at this place next month, but looking forward to the new place ♥️♥️

Very nice, sugar and creamer for coffee and tea would be nice. Adding railing for the cement steps would be greatly appreciated. First time in a vrooms and I would certainly enjoy staying here again. Loved the backyard in the evenings as well. Thank you.

We are Gillette natives; we own Frontier Auto Museum and love preserving history. We have started our vacation rentals based on that love for preserving the past. These properties all have a special story and place in the community, and we wanted to keep it alive. The houses are decorated period correct and all have fun and unique features. We hope you can enjoy these unique homes and also make your way to the museum for a full experience!

Why they chose this property

We are located in the original downtown Gillette filled with lots of character and only a couple blocks away from our historic downtown. You will find locally owned shops, restaurants and attractions all within walking distance.

What makes this property unique

This beautiful craftsman home in the heart of downtown is full of 100-year-old trees, you can see the handmade craftsmanship throughout. The home was where my father and his siblings grew up. We were able to purchase the house in 2019 and bring it back into our family. Besides the remodeled kitchen and updates in the bathrooms the home is original. With built in cupboards and nooks, this home has lots of character. It's decorated with antiques that make it very cozy and a great place to make family memories.
