Located at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains in the Coachella Valley Desert, this Private Monterey Country Club Villa is relaxed luxury and elegance at its finest.

The Villa consists of two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living & dining room, kitchen, outside patio, and front secluded courtyard. The property is furnished with Tommy Bahama Furniture by Lexington and a 19th century hall tree from Spain that contributes to a Spanish and New England Colonial Style. The combination of these two styles later became known as the Monterey Revival. There is a Weber grill for grill lovers, Keurig coffee and espresso maker for coffee lovers, and numerous *amenities for your enjoyment.

Great choice for a relaxing get away!

Timothy was a great host, and very communicative. The house is very clean and well stocked for cooking at home, with many good restaurants nearby. The beds were comfortable and the patio a nice resting spot. The pool and “hot” tub are an easy walk and very nice. The location is great for day trips to Idyllwild/San Bernardino National Forest, Joshua Tree National Park, and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway up to Mount San Jacinto State Park. All of which are worth the trip. And the golf course options are endless!! We have made many trips to the Palm Springs area and think this was our best yet.

Nice Private Villa

I stayed in the villa with my wife and two friends and we were very comfortable. The country club was very quiet and secure. There was a nice pool just steps from the villa which we had almost all to ourselves the whole stay. Terrific location -- my wife and I walked to the grocery store and back one evening. Overall a great choice and we would certainly go back.

California Paradise

This property was excellent in all ways. Tim, the owner was friendly and very easy to communicate with. He checked in with us twice in our 6 week stay to make sure we were wanting for nothing. The condo was large,clean and perfectly located. We were at the back end of the Country Club so we never heard traffic from the main city street. Easy access to the freeways, stores, restaurants and many interesting attractions, also only 30 minutes from the Palm Springs airport. The condo faced the golf greens and it was lovely to sit on our patio. It was a wonderful break from our Canadian winter. We felt very safe in this gated community and highly recommend it.

Fantastic villa in a great location

Terrific property with first-class facilities in a wonderful location. Pre-travel communication was excellent with highly detailed check in instructions that made things really easy for us. Lots of customer-friendly support provided that made this feel like a home away from home. Would definitely rebook next time we are in this area.

This is a lovely property. Perfect location. It was our first visit to Palm Springs and the property was excellent as described. Communication, check in, check out process, cleanliness and services available were all great. Will certainly look to book again when we visit.

Annual Trip

The property was just as described. Bathrooms and living spaces were comfortable and pleasant. Kitchen and amenities included everything we needed. Pools were close and spent time there nearly every day. Check-in was flawless, in which the owner had great directions and lists of local "hot spots" for shopping, eating, etc. We've been coming to this area for 28yrs and usually stayed in a resort close by. This was our first Vrbo experience and was certainly the best stay we have had in the area yet. Tim communicated with us exceptionally, and we will be calling him back for other stays. Thanks for making our trip flawless, comfortable, & memorable.

I had a lovely stay at Tim's place. There was everything I needed and more. Great layout with bedrooms separated. Even in the desert heat, the place was cool enough. Nice to have a garage to park my car out of the blazing sun.

Top notch

Perfect location with south facing patio. Owner’s communication was stellar before and during stay - detailed instructions, phone call before we stayed, suggestions of things to do and where to dine. Unit bedroom layout was ideal for privacy of 2 couples.

Great Location, Great Condo

Location is convenient in Monterey Country Club. The patio is North facing, so you can enjoy the sun all day if you wish, but you still can find shade if you wish. Kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, cooking pots, and dishes. Didn't even use the second bedroom, but it looked inviting. Very enjoyable stay Larry Granston

Great spot

This condo is easy to find and in a great location for golf and biking. It’s close to a grocery store if you’re eating in and the kitchen is well stocked to prepare meals. The condo is very comfortable and clean. We were not able to locate the closest pool so perhaps a property map would be helpful to the renters. Highly recommend this listing.

Lovely Condo, Great Stay

Monterey Country Club is one of the best locations in Palm Desert with close proximity to grocery stores, restaurants and a large shopping mall. The condo itself has a nice location beside one of the fairways on the golf course. Despite the golfers passing by, it is very peaceful and relaxing. The unit was spotlessly clean upon arrival and had everything we needed. We didn’t need to buy any basic supplies - there were adequate paper towels, TP, soap, etc. for the duration of our stay. The beds and furniture are all good quality and comfortable. The host, Timothy, is very helpful, responsive and flexible and we very much appreciated his assistance. We would not hesitate to book this condo again.

Nice but Not Senior Friendly

Certainly as good or better than any property we’ve rented in the past. We’ve been doing this for years. Definitely better than any hotel/motel at which we’ve stayed. We would recommend this rental but given the opportunity we would not revisit. The why’s follow. The furniture especially the seating was not comfortable. Some of the cushions were so warn that you sagged to far to eat at the table. The hard straight back chairs and stools did not add to comfort. The lighting was erratic. Some lights worked some didn’t. I find it difficult to read and work without overhead lighting. But this is what I found in almost all our rentals. The tv was a problem though. Too many remotes too difficult to find the channels worth watching (Swamp People? RuPaul? Duck Dynasty? Really.) We ran out of toilet paper and there were no facial tissues. We bought both. The kitchen was well stocked actually overstocked. But it was missing a cookie sheet Susan likes to bak cookies with the G’kids. Also we could not find a butter dish. The beds and pillows were comfortable but the quilt was too heavy and bulky which required us to keep the over night air and fan at a higher level. A light weight blanket would be a better option. Did not find an umbrella for the patio. In summation, comfort is relative to the renters normal experience. Broadly speaking the rental met or exceeded anyone’s normal expectations. But as seniors we have a narrow range of preferences. Ty Stan/Susan

Exceptional Stay

First and foremost, Tim was an excellent host. His communication was great and he always responded quickly to my questions. He gave us lots of ideas for things to do and places to eat. Thanks, Tim! The condo was the perfect size for the 3 of us. It had all the amenities we needed. Very clean. It was quiet (well ok, except for the mower starting up at 5:30am outside our bedroom window but we were on central time anyway!). It was well situated to get quickly to sites, grocery stores, shopping, etc. Also a 5 minute drive to the people we were visiting. Absolutely no complaints! I absolutely recommend this property and our host, Tim, if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place to spend your vacation.

A Habit Forming Winter Retreat

Location of Monterey Country Club is perfect in the desert. Close to everything..The property we rented is in a great location on site.The house was most comfortable , the neighbors were friendly but most of all was the wonderful host/owner.Easy to contact, quick to respond, willing to please and/or amenable to suggestions.Always available.Will be returning to rent again & connect with our new friend.
