About this property

Spacious Luxury View Home: Steps to Hike & Bike. Year-round activities!

The Iron Horse Hyak Cabin is a home of relaxation and adventure in the woods near the city. The unobstructed cabin views out front are beautiful, and it is only a two-block walk to the Summit East biking & hiking area. The house is 3 stories, sleeps 10 with 3 bathrooms. Directly across the street is the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail for lots of year-round biking & hiking (the Hyak tunnel is nearby). We have many nearby hiking trails with a swimming lake or paddle boarding & fishing just down the road.

The house is three stories, sleeps ten, and has three bathrooms. Directly across the street is the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail for lots of fun. We are in the heart of skiing, mountain biking trails and a nearby lake for swimming or paddle boarding you can walk to.

We are only an hour's drive from the city to have a mountain getaway from Seattle & Bellevue. We have a comprehensive guidebook of trails and activity suggestions to enjoy. Parking is easy out front in the driveway and in the garage. Pack & Play stored under master bedroom bed. Desk & chair set up on upstairs landing to work remotely. A dull freeway noise can be heard from the front patio - as is typical for all homes in Snoqualmie Pass.

There is a chance of some construction occurring a couple of lots away; it is nearly complete. Feel free to ask anything; I am happy to answer with what I know!

We have a single Ring-type camera monitoring the front driveway after parties that happened at the property that we needed to capture.

A little bit of heaven
From the very beginning, our hosts were so helpful in every step to help us have the perfect family reunion in their beautiful well stocked home in the mountains. They were so responsive and tried to accomadate our every need. You are so close to ski lifts, sledding, and snowshoeing if you plan it right you never need to get in your car. The only complaint we had was the lack of heat in the living, dining and kitchen area. The propane fireplace was not enough for the unusally cold weather and the last day the fireplance broke keeping the living space about 60%. It was pretty uncomfortable but we retrieved to the bedrooms to warm up where it was nice and toasty and the kitchen had heated floors that felt great on your feet.If the heat thing could be figured out we would love to stay in this gorgeous home with the most awesome hosts we've ever experienced. Thank you to Amy and Matt

Snoqualmi Summit
We had a great stay. The house was well stocked and had everything we needed for a great stay at the summit. Close to East Summit it was easy to access the lifts. We appreciated the garage set up for drying clothes after skiing. The host was great at communicating details for check in. Comfortable home with a great location.

Wonderful home; amazing views
We absolutely loved the house. It was perfectly clean, well stocked (and labeled), with amazing views. Wonderful host. We were going to have a larger group but ended up just my wife and me. We absolutely hope to be back and will try to get this house again! Zero complaints - loved it.

Great Cabin to Stay
The property was super clean and well maintained. Amy had a nice gift basket waiting for us which was appreciated. She was very timely with her responses to any questions which is always a plus. The house is near some great trails and walks with plenty more to do. If you like to be outside the city then this is a great spot to be in.

Amazing!
It’s hard to fit all the pros of this property in a concise review. First off, the owners are extremely accommodating, kind, and quick communicators. I’ve stayed in 2 other cabins in the same neighborhood before, and this one is leaps and bounds superior to those (and priced about the same). The house is big and comfortable, plenty of space to relax, eat, and enjoy time with friends and family. The views are amazing, and the house is insanely convenient for the John Wayne Trail (right out the front door). Plenty of parking, fast Internet, and all the creature comforts you would need to make this your home away from home. I can’t say enough good things about this amazing property. I will be coming back next year with my family. This is by far the best property in Hyak.

Welcoming home with a beautiful view
Our work team gathered for a weekday retreat and had a lovely time. The home is architecturally beautiful, the kitchen was well stocked with equipment for cooking, and many extras were provided. Lots of games to play, comfortable beds, and an amazing view of the Cascade mountains. Front and back decks give several opportunities to enjoy the surroundings. We'd highly recommend a stay at Hyak.

Amazing cabin in the mountains!
Amy is a fabulous host! She’s got an amazing guidebook ready for your adventure whether it’s ski/snowshoe season or hiking/biking season. The location is fantastic (and a quick drive just over an hour from Seattle). The cabin is gorgeous and has plenty of space, not to mention that view!!!!

Our family of 5 has lived in Seattle for 16 years. We love domestic and international travel and are looking forward to our children falling in love with the sights of the world as well!

Why they chose this property

We are a ski family every weekend in the winter - all five of us love to hit the slopes! We got this property to enjoy winters close to home.

What makes this property unique

The views from this home are out of this world - can't think of many more places more beautiful than the view out of our front window with state park across the street. Unobstructed views are the best!
