We had a great time. We were close to Whiteface and enjoyed a few days skiing. The days were cold so it was nice to come home and relax by the fire. The house had everything we needed. The hosts were very helpful with any questions we had. I would recommend Ironpeaks lodge to my friends and look forward to staying there again.
We first stayed in August 2021. It was such an overall great experience with Iron Peaks Lodge that we just had to go again. The owners are warm, kind and easy to communicate with. Everything is thought of for accommodations. A caretaker is a phone call away for any troubles, but troubles just disappear when you stay here. Wilmington is a quick drive from Lake Placid and tucked away just enough to feel completely surrounded by nature. There is a local market with all the essentials, and plenty of nearby activities including a beach. Time spent at the lodge is incredibly relaxing with barefoot walks around the property, and nighttime star gazing by the fire. We're looking forward to another trip already!
The pictures don’t do this property justice. It is so spacious! My fiancé and I had the best weekend staying at this cozy little cabin with our 2 dogs. They immediately felt right at home. The location is also wonderful. Super quiet but close to everything. Aisha’s organization and attention to details was really appreciated. We can’t wait to come back!
The Iron Peaks Lodge was one of the best places we have stayed at while vacationing through VRBO and HomeAway. The owners have everything you need labeled and organized nicely. The house was clean and decorated perfectly. We enjoyed the large parking area where our toddler could ride bike and blow bubbles. The fire pit was relaxing after a busy day. It is located near many of the main attractions that we wanted to see and do during our stay in the Adirondack Mountains. The guide book was helpful in deciding places to eat. Also the painted rock was such a thoughtful and cute added touch. We highly recommend this place to anyone heading to the Adirondack area. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

About the host
Hosted by Aisha O'Donnell
My husband and I are both runners and love to travel and we enjoy hiking, kayaking, and recently picked up snowshoeing as well. We started visiting the Adirondacks in 2020 and fell in love with the 46ers. We have done 15 so far and look forward to accomplishing some more.
Why they chose this property
We loved the Wilmington area so much that we decided to buy a vacation home here so that we could continue to accomplish our goal of completing the 46ers. In my spare time I love to do art and have much of our home is decorated with my art or art from other local artists I admire.
What makes this property unique
During your stay Our caregiver lives locally and is willing to help with anything that you might need during your stay. His information is located on the fridge in the lodge.
When you book your reservation I will send you my guide book and list of hikes that we love!
