This was our family’s 3rd time staying here, but the first since it has changed owners. We still love 30A and this neighborhood. HOWEVER, the communication with the new owner is the worst I have ever experienced. When we arrived, we had some questions about things not working correctly with the property. I messaged the owner with no response, in addition to calling the phone number she included in the welcome email. She never answered or responded until the next day. I find this unacceptable. One of the things we found upon arrival was that the hot tub was not heated. We were never told that the hot tub would not be heated, and we were charged $225 during our stay for “spa/spa heat”. Once she finally responded, we requested that it be heated, and she said she would have someone come and heat it. They did come and fix the pool remote that wasn’t working, but the hot tub was never heated. The ice maker was not working, so after we went and got groceries and came back to the house, we had to go back out for a bag of ice. Small inconvenience, but this would have been a simple thing to include in the welcome email as an FYI. The outside landscaping is in rough shape. When we arrived, I spent a half hour pulling weeds from the pavers around the pool. Overall, we were just really disappointed in the lack of communication. I have requested a refund from Debbie for the spa heat and still have not received a reply from her. I would recommend this area, but sadly, we will not be back.
