This place is amazing. Amy was great to work with. Even with the river up all weekend due to generation at the dam and nobody out fishing, we still caught fish. I can only imagine how good that spot would be under good conditions. There are numerous places outside to hang out....in the yard, on the deck, on the other deck, by the fireplace, on the dock, etc. The kitchen and supplies were top notch. Overall, I give the stay a 10/10.
This was one of the best visits I have had to the Red River. My grand kids had a great time and caught their first trout. If you visit Heber Springs you have to stay here. Thanks
This was the perfect house for us as we came for trout fishing. The dock was great to fish off of and we were able to tie our boat to it. The kids loved all of the games there at the house and I loved the massage chair after a morning of fishing! It really is a beautiful home! The only downside was having to drive through some water on the road to get to the house. It wasn’t bad with an SUV, but might be more of a challenge in a small car.
Home was large and very nice with good parking. Location is six minutes to town. Grandchildren caught trout which was main criteria. Everyone really enjoyed the stay. There was no wifi but plenty of other electronics. Breathtaking view of river. Has dock to fish off of, but dock could use a place to clean fish. Quiet area but close to everything.
The cabin is tucked away from the city but still convenient enough for going to town for shopping/eating. We caught trout from the dock and was able to use the outdoor fireplace to warm up to at night.
Great place to unwind and relax.
Very nice weekend stay with family. We needed a large space to gather with room to spread out. The home was very clean and well appointed. It was beautifully decorated for the fall and the deck and dock were fantastic. We cook a lot and it had lots of spices and utensils. Worked out perfectly.
Wonderful trip.
This property was perfect for our getaway. Very spacious, conveniently located, and clean. I got more bang for my bucks compared to staying in a hotel. I highly recommend The Reel Life!
This property was beautiful, it is right on the river and has a dock to fish off of with plenty of trout around. The house is spacious and feels like home. We will definitely be back!
We loved the home. It was comfortable and well-stocked with pots, pans and cutlery. There was even a selection of coffee pods next to the Keurig, located in the master bedroom.
This cabin was in a great location on the river, very homey, and a great set up with the outdoor fireplace and dock which we could fish off of. It was a great trip!!
We had a wonderful stay at your beautiful home. There were 5 of us and we had so much room. The tri level deck, patio and dock is perfect to spread out and enjoy. The river view is amazing. This home is stocked with everything you can imagine. I would highly recommend this property for families or friends getting together just like we did. Thank you for sharing this slice of paradise on The Red River! ❤️
April 8th the Total Solar Eclipse & it was our 40th anniversary! We brought the entire family together from Salt Lake City, New Orleans, & Nashville. The house is amazing & prefect. The fireplace patio is fabulous & the dock is phenomenal! The weather on the day of the eclipse was beautiful w/ clear blue skies for awesome viewing from the dock! Thank you for sharing you home with us.
Overall house is clean and very comfortable. We had a big problem with the next door neighbors dog barking all day. The rainbow trout were fun to catch with my kiddos and the house had s’mores to enjoy when we arrived. The back porch fireplace and view of the river was our favorite part. There is a Walmart in town and we ate out at night. Great bbq place and a pizza restaurant. We also did the Collin’s Creek trail and the whole family enjoyed that. Upstairs had a massage chair and a pac man game machine. The kids loved that too
The house was very clean on the inside and was equipped with everything possible you would need in the kitchen as we do cook a lot. Very well organized Kids loved all the games. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels, pillows and linens.
Lots of light switches. Would be helpful if labeled.
Our biggest complaint was the generating of the river. We paid good money for the house and don’t get me wrong we enjoyed our stay but we were really disappointed with the generating of the river as our primary purpose of our trip was to fish. Looks like Corp of Engineers would know there are a lot of rentals in the area. Of our seven days we only got to fish one day which was on Saturday. We’ve been to Heber Springs fishing many times and the generating of the river was everyday but one.
Our second complaint is your neighbors dogs barking. One of the dogs actually scared me a couple of times and I ran for the door. We had to stay on top of our 2 grandkids as the dogs were outside. 2 were on leashes but there was one that ran loose. Another stray dog appeared but was just wandering around. Didn’t appear to belong to the folks next door.
Your cabin is lovely on the inside. We enjoyed the outside fireplace. Would have enjoyed dock but river was flowing very fast.
Overall our trip was great with family.

Really liked the open spaces for family gatherings outside and inside as well as the safe condition of the dock for fishing. (We caught 4 trout)
Wished the bathrooms could have more insulation somehow between walls for nighttime flushing.
This is really a beautiful home and had all of the amenities that we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and even had everything to make smores. It also had all the needed appliances for any cooking style.
There was plenty of space in the main living area with a very large tv on the wall. This home has a great set-up for enjoying the great outdoors.
Each bedroom had it’s own bathroom which was an added bonus. The loft area upstairs had a nice game area and a great massage chair.
We all had a great time!
What a beautiful place! The listing pictures DO NOT do this home justice. The house is much bigger than it looks, so roomy and comfortable. The mattresses are extra firm if that’s your thing. (We personally prefer sleeping on a mattress that feels like a marshmallow). We enjoyed shopping in town, cooking and relaxing in front of a roaring fire on the gorgeous stone patio. The dock was a great place to sit with a glass of wine or to drop a line in the water and reel in a trout. Speaking of wine, the town is dry, so stock up on your way, because the closest place to get beer, wine or liquor is about 30 minutes away! Be sure to spend at least one day at the dam. It’s $5 to get in, and you can fish from the river’s edge, or sit by the waterfall, or just peer down into the crystal clear water from the deck and look at all the fish swimming around. Magical! Last note, bring a hotspot if you don’t have one on your phone to watch Netflix movies or whatever. The owner and the property manager were absolutely wonderful hosts! Anytime we had a question, we just messaged through the listing and they always responded asap! This was a very much needed getaway for us, and even though I had to spend a portion of my time working, the peacefulness, tranquility and serenity of this thoughtfully designed home was incomparable.
We absolutely loved this property. It is very spacious and right on the Little Red. We were able to relax and spend time with family while enjoying fishing and enjoying fires in the outside fireplace. We would highly recommend and will definitely be staying here again in the future.
Love the location!! It's off the beaten path but still close to town. The home is absolutely stunning and offers all you need. Very nice, large open floor plan. Dining room table with river view. Large master with river view. Cool loft for the kids with arcade games. Plenty of outdoor seating options and an incredibly outdoor fireplace!! Beautiful dock with seating. 5 stars!!! We highly recommend and will return.
