I stayed there 3 nights with my 11 year old grandsons. We spent our days in Payne's Prairie, (which is close by) our afternoons and evenings at the Treetop home. It was quiet and relaxing. We felt very comfortable and safe. Boys loved the chickens roaming around. Judy and Billy were so nice! They taught them all about raising the chickens. Judy is kind and genuine. Cares about her tenants and property. My boys are already asking to go back !!Thank you :)
Fishing trip, had a boat, you need to be good at maneuvering a truck & trailer if you bring a boat due to trees along driveway. House was great, beds were comfortable, 5 stars
Property more than lived up to its billing. Location was perfect for our needs as well as the layout of bedrooms etc. we really enjoyed our stay. Our host, was very responsive and helpful in every way. We would definitely stay at this property again and highly recommend it to others.
As people who live on a farm and require open spaces and out of the way places to be comfortable, this was the perfect vacation spot for us. The interior of the house was clean, well appointed, and just as pictured on the listing. It was really spacious, welcoming and full of great little touches that made guests feel welcome. Being surrounded by ancient oaks is truly life affirming and the weather was perfect during our 4 night visit. I never met Judy, but my husband did as he was packing up our car to leave and said she was delightful. With family in the Gainesville area, it was a perfect place to celebrate my husbands 75th birthday and we'll hope to visit there again.
What a lovely environment to spend a couple of days decompressing. The house was clean and laid out well with everything you need. King bed was comfortable. Just sitting on the patio and staring at the 200 yr old oak tree was therapeutic. We hope to return again. Judy and Billy were wonderful hosts.
My husband and I stayed here for the entire month of January and totally enjoyed ourselves. The house was everything the website promised and more. Very comfortable furniture and beds, fully equipped kitchen and laundry area. Our host, Judy, was super accessible and responsive, and a lovely person! The yard and especially the gorgeous live oaks were just stunning! The pictures we took just couldn't do them justice! We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Judy!
The perfect spot for our family to meet. The property is gorgeous, with huge, moss draped grandfather oaks to view from every window. We never even locked the doors when we went to town- so safe there. The large area under the house is on a cement slab so we played pickleball on it! You can still enjoy the outdoors even if it rains. We made bonfires in the huge fire pit. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with supplies- better than any other place we’ve stayed. We were there for Thanksgiving week so a lot of cooking went on! Everything was clean and functioning. We have visited this property twice and will definitely go again. Our nephew wants to buy the place if it ever goes on the market! The quaint town of Micanopy is close for visiting the cute shops.
This home is located in a very tranquil setting. The home is even better than what the pictures indicated. Judy made us feel welcomed and was available beyond what a guest could expect. We're looking forward to staying here again.
WONDERFUL STAY HERE FOR 5 OF US. THE PROPERTY WAS EXCELLENT. ONE OF OUR 5 BIKES BROKE DOWN UPON ARRIVAL. THE PROPERTY OWNER (JUDY) REACHED OUT TO A NEIGHBOR WHO BROUGHT A TRAILER AT 8 OCLOCK SAT MORNING AND HAULED THE WOUNDED ROAD WARRIOR TO THE GAINESVILLE HD DEALER. THERE WAS APPROX 1 MILE OF HARD PACKED GRAVEL ROAD TO GET TO THE PROPERTY. OTHER THAN A LITTLE DUST, IT POSED NO PROBLEM. KITCHEN WAS WELL STOCKED AND SO WERE LINENS. DONT EXPECT STAINLESS APPLIANCES AND GRANITE COUNTER TOPS, BUT YOU WILL FIND IT CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE! THANKS JUDY FOR A GREAT PLACE TO UNWIND FOR 2 NIGHTS! THE COVERED PARKING WAS A BONUS FOR US BIKERS.
Very nice place in the country. Beautiful grounds and the best host Judy! We loved the stay with family and friends for our daughter’s wedding. Very nice kitchen with lots of counter space. Our other daughter made a wedding cake and was very happy with the space and Judy even loaned her a Kitchen Aid mixer so she had 2 mixers for making the 3 layer cake!
We definitely recommend this Home!
The owner lives next door. She was kind and encouraged us to walk around the magnificent property. There were plenty of pillows and very clean towels. The structure and some furniture are dated, but the price is right. I think the place might need an occasional detail cleaning for windows, walls and corners. Linens could use a stronger detergent as well. I appreciated the fresh fruit. There is a bonfire pit which my kids loved. We saw an armadillo and rattlesnake, and heard the sandhill cranes in the early morning. Place was easy to find. The owner accommodated my request to shift my trip by a day due to the hurricane. Overall I enjoyed it a lot.
This place was really nice and spacious. It was well stocked, clean and comfortable. Overall we really liked it. The only downside was we had some issues with the showers (water temp would change drastically suddenly, and low water pressure made one of the showers almost unusable. It became a little difficult over a few days with multiple adults and only one shower). But everything else about our stay was excellent. Thank you to the hosts!
Without question the best place we have stayed for a Gator weekend. Home appeared to be rustic outside and very modern inside. Would have loved to give it a minus rating to keep others from interfering with our future stays. but couldn't do that to the host.
Stayed for a Florida Gator football game. Good location - very good communication from host very clean and well furnished. Comfortable spot - I would recommend and would stay again.
