Very nice property, the third bedroom with two bunk beds is very hard to cool down, we did buy a fan and left the door open to make it cool enough to rest in the room. A wonderful time was had by all.
My daughter graduated from high school and wanted to hit the beach! This location is perfect for a short walk to the beach, food and shopping. The condo is clean and great size for our part of five - 2 adults and 3 teenagers. In the heart of PCB, so the beach has a great vibe, but if you need a break from the beach, the pools in the complex were a great substitute. We would stay here again and highly recommend.
Great place near pools and putt putt course. Ten minute stroll to beach. Beds very comfortable. Decor nice. Everything works. Did have a problem with guest bedroom TV, but we were so tired from all the activities that we did not care about watching a TV, Just getting to sleep. Owner/Hostess provided everything we needed and was very polite/helpful and returned text in timely manner.

Negative stay
The AC was so loud at night, it woke me up every time it kicked on in the bedroom. There were giant cockroaches in the kitchen. They were at least 1.5 inches long. It was too far from the beach entrance. I had to rent a cart so I could get there. I am 66 years old and it was too far for me to walk. The cart was 65 dollars a day. You should let us know the distance while accepting this rental.
We have stayed in various places within Gulf Highlands over the years, and our experience was everything we expected out of a condo within this gated community. Ada was very responsive to anything we had questions on and the facilities served us perfectly!
Communication with our host was excellent! There was supposed to be 6 of us staying, but three of our party had a change of plans, so the property was perfect for us! The 3rd bedroom with the two twin beds is kind of odd, because you go through the master bedroom to get to it. But, it would be perfect for a family with young children! There's a door for privacy, but the children would be close by during the night. The property could use some updating, but was very comfortable! It had everything we needed! Location of property is great! We didn't have a chance to use the pools or mini golf, though.
We took a Girls Trip down to Panama City beach and stayed in this house for 7 nights. Everything we did was within a 20min drive of the house. There is even a Pier with a road full of shops and expirences. The Ripleys belive it or not, wonder works, and public beach acesses are minutes from the house. Multiple pools including some that were heated are located within the gated community. The gated community also has a mini golf course and putters and golf balls were provided.
The condo is a little outdated which didn’t bother me but what made it 3 stars are the lack of towels for a family of 6. I’d definitely suggest bringing extras. Many of the plugs didn’t work at all. The 3rd bedroom is attached to the main bedroom making it an inconvenience for someone wanting privacy, 3rd br had a small fan, I’m glad we brought a box fan. Silverware is skimpy. The outside furniture has 3 chairs at the tall table.little to no communication with owner. No information about the resort of how to get to any of the pools or what to do to play putt putt. There were 3 putters in closet, we had to buy our own golf balls. Small shower in master bedroom.
Light bulb went out in bathroom.
The pros: short walk to beach, outside view is beautiful, clean, neighbors were nice.
Everything was as described in the ad. The townhouse has an odd odor, it’s not horrible but not refreshing either. The enclosed back patio did have a musty cigarette smell. The decorations are a mismatched hodgepodge between outdated beach, fall, Christmas and party favors. The oven did not work or we couldn’t figure out how to make it work. The majority of the outlets and lamps do not work. The TV in the master bedroom doesn’t work either. If you are only sleeping there, isn’t a deal breaker. The bedroom that is accessible through the master, is an add on with little to none AC. There is an oscillating fan provided, but doesn’t help very much. Great location and easy walk to the beach. There is a map for the amenities, but unfortunately we weren’t made aware of it until our last night.
Overall, we always enjoy staying at Gulf Highlands. It is centrally located to everything you need, only a few miles drive to Pier Park, tons of restaurants and stores within walking distance or short drive, and the beach cafe is always nice. There is also a bar and liquor store at the beach side gate which is handy, and the property has plenty of pools, snack machines, putt-putt, etc. This experience was a bit worse due to all of the teens drinking, smoking pot, throughout Gulf Highlands, but this was not the fault of this unit. This particular unit was clean, comfortable but could use some extra amenities. We only had two towels, so needed to bring our own, including beach towels and toys. Not a bad thing, just would be nicer to have more shower towels. Only 1 of the TVs worked (living room TV), as the master bedroom TV had a weird image delay issue. All easy fixes that shouldn’t impact a vacation overall, just noting. There were plenty of dishes and cookware for a family of 6, and everything was clean and comfy. We would book again.
Overall it was a great stay & owner was extremely prompt with returning messages for concerns. It does need to be updated cosmetically, felt very out of style the decor didn’t match at all . Very misleading on the 3rd bedroom which you have to access thru the master bedroom (allowing no privacy).
Lastly, beach essentials are essential & should be provided for vacationers. My sister also stayed in another unit & it included everything needed to enjoy the beach like a wagon, floaties, chairs, rafts, volley ball etc.

College dorm- minimum stuff
We had 6 girls and booked a girl's getaway when we booked. When we arrived had 4 washcloths, 2 hand towels and 5 towels for 4 night for all of us it use. We do not mind older places we are there to adventure but towels are needed with all girls. Emailed the owner and she brought out 2 more wash clothes and one more towel and one more hand towel at 9:30 PM. My Aunt had to chase her down for one more hand towel. I understand they do not want people to take them to the beach or pool but one or 2 extra would have been nice so we could wash them and have some to start with the next day. Which luckily we brought washing powder to wash our clothes before we left to do the towels with. Because our beach towels, we brought were full of sand when we got back from the beach. We fix breakfast to help cut down on cost and the pots and pans where slim to none. We cooked biscuits in a steam basket 3 times to get enough for everyone to eat. I felt like I was back in college with minimum supplies. We will not stay here again for the money we paid. The grounds had putt put and shuffle board but nothing to play with in our cabin. We meet a nice lady and she told us we could use her stuff and her cabin location. Beach location great. Just not at this condo.
