About the host

Host profile image
I am highly goal oriented, determined and never let anything keep me from making my dreams come true. I am married to my true soul mate and have a wonderful 21 year old son. We have 3 dogs and 1 cat. I love crafting, DIY, learning new things, outdoor adventure, fishing, flowers, gardening and so much more.

I have studied interior design, professional organization, wedding and event planning, floral design, drafting and design and business. I am a retired pipeline designer of about 20 years, where I worked in West Monroe, LA and Houston, TX.

I grew up in a very rural town called Start, LA, where I attended school with Tim McGraw. I lived on a farm and helped raise rabbits, chickens, pigs, horses, cows, ducks, geese, quails, dogs and cats (and the occasional turtle and tadpoles I would catch in the ditch). I was quite the tom-boy growing up.

My husband and I are starting a new chapter in our lives and have recently moved to Alaska. It was a journey just getting here, but so far we love it and have no plans of leaving.

What makes this property unique

The cabins and the 3 acres are yours to explore. The second cabin, Serenity Gulch, is off-limits unless you rent both units for your stay.

Serenity Gulch, the smaller cabin, is located on the same property and can be rented out along with the Wolf's Den for large gatherings of friends and family. Check out it's availability for booking.

Free parking is provided on the premises.

The cabin is located about a 20 minute drive from Fairbanks International Airport.

Musher's Hall, which is home to the Open North American Sled Dog Race, is a quick 10 minute walk away. This famous event hosts mushers from all over the world each spring. Trails from the Musher's Hall lead to Creamer's Field.

University of Alaska Fairbanks is a 10 minute drive away.

Creamer's Field- a seasonal migratory waterfowl refuge of Alaska where Cranes, Arctic Swans, and Canada Geese abound- is a 12 minute drive. Spring is the best time to see the migrating birds.

Enjoy bountiful miles of wilderness trails on Farmer's Loop, Birch Hill and UAF.
