A very comfortable home with many sleeping possibilities and lots of extra spots for the little ones from babies to teenagers. Everything you can think of for enjoying this beautiful lakefront setting from morning till night with balconies, covered decks, stone patio, and dock. Enjoy the stone fire pit complete with BBQ grate perfect for roasting your dinner or remove for evening campfire surrounded by beautiful hardwood patio furniture. When your not enjoying water activities you will find lots of fun at home with board games and a foosball table. Enjoy a fabulous entertainment system with surround sound speaker system, 3 flatscreen TV's including family room, walkout basement and master bedroom.

Perfect for families
This was a perfect lake vacation. The house had everything we needed and is beautiful! We rented a pontoon for the week and there was space to tie it up. The sand bar just off the property was a quick boat ride away and a great way for the kids to play in the water. So many great outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy the view. We had a fun and relaxing vacation here!

Enjoyed our visit so much the summer of 2023, we returned in 2024. The home is light and airy, as well as being well furnished and very clean. The lake is beautiful and a great place to spend vacation time.

RETURN TO THE LAKES
The house and location is perfect. This was the first VRBO rental (for my family) that was stocked with everything necessary for a great time at the lake (or wherever we were visiting). Nothing was missing! Access, coordination, and communication was easy. I would highly recommend and return as often as possible!

Fabulous Lake Time
This home was beautiful and very clean! We appreciated every attention to detail. It made for a perfect place to meet family between Indianapolis and Michigan. The only complaint we had was a shortage of forks, but on our last day we discovered a bunch of cleans forks on the very top (3rd rack) of the dishwasher. I didn't know dishwashers had 3rd racks. I would gladly stay at this lake home again. Thank you for sharing.

Lakehouse on Crooked
This was one of the cleanest and most well appointed rentals we've stayed in to date. Everything from appliances to dishware/cookware to beds was high quality. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked for a rental. Only complaint was that there is a ton of glass stemware/barware displayed that made me nervous with a houseful of kids. Otherwise the home was a 10!

Wonderful Family Lake Vacation
The listing for this rental is spot on. It was perfect for our family vacation. Beautiful, updated lake house is right on the water on the first basin. Our kids enjoyed swimming and fishing right off the dock. We rented a boat for two days and had enough room to dock it easily. The house is close to the sandbar which was a great spot for hanging out in the boat and playing in the water. If you don't have a boat, I definitely recommend renting one from Casey's Marina which is within walking distance of the house. As for the house itself; the rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Our kids loved the bunk room. The sunrise and view from the master suite are breathtaking. We enjoyed most of our meals on the deck and spent most of our evenings in the very comfortable furniture by the fire pit. The foosball table in the basement was an added bonus that my son really enjoyed. The owner is also very responsive and sent us recommendations for some "must do's" while we were in the area. We enjoyed hiking at Pokagon State Park. There is so much to do there--hiking, biking, horse rides, beach--that you could spend a day. Tom's Donuts is a must try when you are in Angola.

Great summer spot for family
We had a great week at this home on Crooked Lake. Right on the lake on first basin. The house is very clean and all the finishing touches are great- beautiful & perfect for a lake cottage. Comfortable beds & fully stocked kitchen. The furniture around the fire pit was very comfortable ! The water right off the deck is shallow enough to swim. Kids fished off dock & we kayaked to the really close sand bar. We had a boat we used for the week & had room to tie the boat & jet ski up for the week. Kids loved going to get gas at Casey’s Marina right by the house to get candy & ice cream sandwiches. Toms Donuts is a really close drive & is a must when in Angola. The sunrises from the master or the deck with coffee were the best. The kids bunk room was great for the kids. Our son loved his man cave basement with a TV & foosball. We also enjoyed the short drive to Pokagon to horse trail ride one day. Definitely recommend for a family stay!

Quiet part of the lake with surrounding homes owner occupied and not for rent. Perfect for quiet family fun. Owner is cool, place is remodeled and has a cool beach vibe. All good in all ways.

Beautiful view and very relaxing! The house is very clean and inviting! Quite a few stairs inside and outside but that’s ok. Rented a pontoon boat for a half a day at the marina close by!

Great family vacation spot!
Our family had a week-long reunion in August 2014 at this house. It was a great layout and the house was well kept and furnished. Our kids enjoyed themselves and the adults had a great time as well. There was plenty of room for everyone!

Great family getaway!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Crooked Lake. The house was immaculate and very tastefully furnished. We had everything we could have wanted at our fingertips, a paddle boat, bean bag toss, table hockey for the kids, comfy beds and plenty of space. We even enjoyed smores over the firepit! Even though we had the maximum number of guests, we had pleanty of room to spread out and enjoy our stay.

Home away from home
We are a young family of 4 and we had an amazing time renting this home. It is beautiful inside with stunning views of the lake. It was easy to find, easy to move around in, and comfortable for both my kids (9 y/o boy, 19 m/o girl). I highly recommend renting this home to anyone and everyone. Can't wait to rent it again next year!

My wife and I were born and raised in Angola, IN and now live full time in Key West, FL. Much of our family still remains in the Angola area and we have a place to keep in touch with our roots and create the same fond memories we have of our summers on the lake with our own children. We bought this home before they could even walk and talk and it is here on our vacations they have learned to water ski, tube, catch fire flies at dusk, fish off the dock, enjoy lake front campfires and so much more. This is a wonderful place to create memories that last forever.

Why they chose this property

This is our family retreat that we visit often. Because of that the comfort and amenities are above and beyond what you would ordinarily find in a lake front cottage. The beds and furniture are great quality and the house is well equipped with things that will make your stay more enjoyable.
