Disliked: Cleanliness, communication
My usual reviews are complimentary and generous. This one isn’t.
Highlights-the “updated” features refer to kitchen, main bath, tvs, floors and recessed lighting.
Negatives-initially, surfaces appear clean. But the property needs a thorough, deep cleaning-dirty kitchen items, hair on the floor, toys under furniture, dusty blinds, baseboards and cabinet grooves, gritty floors, trash and discarded items on the outside of the property are a few examples.
The furniture in the living space is outdated, uncomfortable and unkept with apparent stains. Older furniture is fine, but it should at least be clean and relatively comfortable.
Many deceiving discrepancies from the Expedia/VRBO description. 3rd BR and 2nd bath have no access from the main level and are a bit daunting and scary. Thankfully we didn’t need them.
1 blk from the beach is really like 3 1/2 blks. The dining table is a picnic bench on the deck, and there are no bikes.
Communication was disappointing. Since I never received check in info after my final payment, I sent an unanswered email, which then forced me to call for an update. The day of check in, I was simply given the door code and WiFi info via a text. It was very abrupt and cold.
For this price point, I’m not expecting luxury, high end or extravagance. But I do expect clean, comfortable and functional.
I would not recommend this property or management company. If you’re considering this rental, keep searching and find something else.
