Welcome snowmobilers and skiers to a cozy log cabin on the Rapid River.
Secluded and quiet log cabin on the Rapid River. 14 acres on the property and thousands of acres of state land just to the north of the cabin to explore. Only 10 minutes to Torch Lake. Wood burning fireplace, king size master bed with loft area. 15 minutes to skiing at Schuss Mountain, 30 minutes to Boyle mountain. Blue bear and boardman valley snowmobile trails close by. only 30 minutes to Traverse City. Great location! Close to many great golf courses and ski lodges. Also wineries, boating, fishing, hiking, and shopping to name a few things to do.
FYI, When renting in the winter months rear wheel drive vehicles are not recommended. As the driveway is a little hilly and can be slippery at times. 4 Wheel Drive and all wheel drive vehicles are recommend.
Sorry we don’t allow any pets!
We also have ring security camera’s on the front porch. They will most likely be turned on during your stay. Once you’re there feel free to cover them up, the broom on the porch works well for this. Also there are a couple of plastic painted black covers that you can put over them.

This is a great place if you want to bond with nature and experience the great outdoors and not have to travel to the UP. between the surrounding property and the state land close by, you can have a wonderful experience with nature. Highly recommend
Beautiful comfortable cabin!!! I could have sat back and listened to the river all day. Saw some wildlife and had much fun around the fire pit.
Cabin very clean and equipped. Host very easy to contact and provided very helpful information.
5 star vacay for us and would love to go back!!!!!!
Beautiful scenery and property. There was a lot of recent snowfall which made venturing out on property a bit tedious but we did explore the walkway down to the creek, the treehouse and into town some. Looking out of the windows was like a postcard, very pretty. The property itself was very well kept and decorated nicely. Bring your clothes, food, laundry soap and dish soap you should be good for a few days stay. One thing we wish we had known was to bring some firewood inside to dry out. There’s WiFi, dvd movies, card games and plenty of places to relax. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future stays. Pictures on the listing don’t do it justice. There were even candles all over the cabin to give it that homey and relaxing vibe. Only the living room and master bedroom have televisions though. Kitchen is pretty well stocked we were able to make all our meals with ease. Wouldn’t hurt to bring a few extra towels for showers.
Absolutely beautiful property and cabin. Words can’t describe the peacefulness and serenity of the river and surrounding woods. Super comfortable and great amenities.
