The Maine Cottage is "pet friendly" and fully fenced so you can enjoy your vacation with the entire family. The 1300 sq ft cottage is 1 level making it easy access for all ages.

The Maine Cottage is heated and has air conditioning for year round enjoyment, so get a head start on the summer by booking a Spring or June vacation, or let the Summer linger into the long quiet days of September and the Fall.

Winter Rental availability starts mid October 2022 thru April 30, 2023-

Due to CoVid, most renters prefer bringing their own sheets and towels. All mattress covers and bedspreads are freshly wash for all new guests. If you can't bring your own sheets and towels, there is a fee of $25 per bed. Please let me know if you need this service. There are 3 king, 2 twin and 1 full pull out couch.

Enjoyable stay at the Maine Cottage

We had a good time staying at the Maine Cottage. We loved the location, and the ability to bring our dog along. Being able to take an outside shower was lovely, and having access to the boogie boards for the kids was a nice bonus. My suggestions would be to take some time to maintain the back yard and grills, and do a deeper clean of the floors and under furniture. I know it’s hard with the quick turn- around time between renters, but a certain level is expected with paying a cleaning fee on top of the rental fee. Overall it had a fun beach house feel, and we enjoyed our trip down to Seaside Park.

Great location, nice neighborhood, house was very clean.

Great property for a weekend fishing trip by the shore. Enjoyed the communal layout of the home and private backyard. The large driveway was also a bonus. Walking distance to beach and boardwalk. Overall great stay, would stay again!

Family friendly cottage

The location was great..we saw beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The fenced in yard was large and well used by our dog and great for relaxing in. The 4 bedroom were very comfy. A good week at the shore. Thank you.

Perfect for our family vaca

This place had everything we needed. We've never stayed at the Shore before but a last minute change due to Coronavirus left us scrambling. Kristen was so helpful and accomodating. Our vacation was wonderful!

Great location!

We had a really great time at the “Maine Cottage”. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to the beach, boardwalk and bay. The cottage was very well equipped and had everything we needed and we cooked, a lot! The outside shower, dishwasher, grill, washer/dryer and extra half bath were awesome extras and definitely got a ton of use. Another added plus was the large yard. We spent 2 weeks with our 2 adult children and some friends and spent every night in the yard playing games and hanging out. Our only recommendations would be 2 additional beach chairs and a board game refresh for adults (we played a Minnie Mouse Matching Game and had a laugh or two). We would definitely stay again, had a great time and really loved the location!

Great place for a family vacation

We had a great time at the maine cottage! The owner was very helpful and friendly; she even let us know that the home would be available for an earlier check in which is awesome! They had so many things on hand- a lot of kitchen necessities and many board games and activities (should there be some inclement weather, there is plenty of fun to be had right at the cottage). We had perfect weather, and most nights we barbecued in the back with our dogs, just like at home. We will absolutely reach out next time we plan a vacation at the shore! Thank you again for a great time!!

Very nice!

The Maine Cottage was a great place to stay for our vacation. The beach and the bay were both an easy walk from the house. Our family was also in Seaside for the week, and the large backyard was a great place to host a bbq for everyone.It was great to be able to bring our dog!

Family and pet-friendly cottage charmer!

The "Maine Cottage" rings true to it's name! Guests are immediately greeted by decor that evokes a pleasant New England nautical vibe. The kitchen is well-stocked with anything guests would need to prepare and serve meals for large or small gatherings. There is plenty of space to spread out on three couches in the main living area and the front parlor area is outfitted with two comfy chairs with ottomans. The four bedrooms are thoughtfully decorated with coordinating accent pieces. The cottage is well-equipped with window air conditioners and ceiling fans. In early June, all we needed was the ceiling fans to keep us cool. We found ourselves utilizing the spacious, outdoor, fenced in back yard a lot. Several patio tables and extra seating provide the perfect area for enjoying morning coffee, grilling nightly meals and reading in the afternoon sun. Our labrador retriever had ample room to play with a tennis ball. An outdoor shower and closet filled with beach chairs, sand toys, and boogie board are also located in the backyard area. Four beach badges to Seaside Park Beach were included. Kristen, the owner, provided excellent service. She helped facilitate a change of our original itinerary to accommodate an additional night's stay that we added after booking the original trip through HomeAway. Communication with Kristen was timely, helpful and always courteous. The location of the "Maine Cottage" can't be beat! Bay views and ocean access are only a short walk in either direction. There is a 7-Eleven within walking distance if you find yourself needing a last minute item or have run out of something. Pizza, bagel, coffee, ice-cream and a taco shop are all within walking distance. Kayak and bicycle rental shops are also nearby. One evening we walked to Surf Taco to get take out and brought it to a public pavilion on North Bayview Avenue and ate dinner while watching the sunset overlooking Barnegat Bay. We also rented bikes from Shore and More and rode to the beginning of the boardwalk arcade area and also to Island Beach State Park. This house has everything and more that guests could ever need to enjoy a relaxing time at the beach! We would definitely book again! -Alina K.

Perfect for families with small children!

I can’t say enough good things about this beach house! The location is perfect for families with children, it’s a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 15 minute walk (we drove just b/c it was easier with our 3 kids but you could easily walk) to the boardwalk and pier! There’s a huge back yard for entertaining if you wanted to, with an outdoor shower perfect for getting the sand off! It was such an easy process I was honestly nervous about it, but I couldn’t have been happier. We were very lucky to have great weather but if it did rain we would have been fine, the home is fully equipped with everything from games to movies to take out menus and coloring books! We will definitely be back! It’s a 4BR with 3 couches, so it was very accommodating for sleeping and lounging!

Seaside heights getaway

Traveling with pets and so close to the boardwalk about 5 minute drive. Bay is about a block away. Kristen was so helpful with any questions and responding promptly. Would highly recommend .

Wonderful Jersey Shore experience--the awesoe ocean beaches and beautiful bay sunsets!

I enjoyed my stay at your house. You provided everything I needed (and much more!) to spend a wonderful holiday at the Jersey Shore. The ocean was clean and fun (though rough) and it was awesome watching dolphins and cow-nose manta pods! Walking along the bay at sunset was a new-found enjoyment for me and my friends. I love the Jersey Shore... nothing like it that I have found! Gracias!

So happy we stayed here!

I almost booked a really expensive place, so glad I didn’t. The Maine Cottage is cute, clean, comfortable & well appointed. The pictures don’t do it justice. Love the one floor living with plenty of room for the 5 of us plus a small dog. The fenced-in yard & very reasonable pet fee were a bonus. Would definitely recommend this rental.

The Maine Cottage was com...

The Maine Cottage was comfortable and an easy walk to the beach. Our dog Phoebe enjoyed the large yard and we were happy not to have to leave her in a kennel this summer.
