Ideally located just across the beach from Kahalu'u Beach Park. This is a great place to stay if you like to snorkel, surf and swim. If not, it is close to everything else.

Easily accessible, convenient and with good under water scenery, Kahalu'u Bay is the most user friendly Snorkel Beach on the island. Unit is large and has had recent upgrades.

The pool and BBQ overlooking the bay make a great spot to relax and congregate after a day of exploring and shopping!

Still Dreaming Of Our Ocean-View Condo!

We’re happy we found this condo. The reviews were right! Duane was helpful before our arrival & during our stay. A nice surprise was the condo was ready earlier than check-in time. He checked on us & wanted to know if there were any issues he could resolve right away. He’s been the most proactive & responsive VRBO owner we’ve had. His condo’s GORGEOUS view helped us decide the Big Island is our favorite Hawaii island. He even bought my 7-year-old granddaughter a life jacket, because the condo didn’t have one her size…a lifesaver when we swam in the ocean at beautiful Kua Bay Beach. He & his family stayed at the condo before we came & left their unopened food, which was a blessing. The condo was stocked with everything you needed. We traveled with a family group of 25 who were in 4 different condos, and a few of them complained their condo didn’t have enough towels, ran out of toilet paper, or parts of their condo wasn’t cleaned. It’s a little walk to the shopping center, but doable at 25 min. We chose this place, because we preferred to be by the ocean. Our condo was on the 3rd floor, but we didn’t mind the stairs, since it gave us such an amazing ocean view, which is addicting waking up to. The pool has a beautiful ocean view too & was like a tropical haven. Don’t miss out snorkeling at Kahalu’u Beach, because it truly is like swimming in a fish bowl, and we loved that it was just a walk across the street. We’d love to come back & stay here again! The views are very hard to beat. The beach across the street was the best snorkeling we did in Hawaii. The condo is very well stocked with everything you will need and then some. Don't pass this place by. The owner was very helpful and recommended some great places to eat.

Amazing, beautiful condo!

I can’t leave a more positive review of this property. If you are visiting Kona - this is a must-stay property. Easily sleeps 5-6. Clean. Full kitchen. 2 large bathrooms and bedrooms. Super comfy, large couch in the living room. The porch (lanai) was amazing. By far the BEST view of the ocean and sunsets. It had plenty of beach towels, beach toys (including paddle board, boogie boards, snorkel gear and flippers, among other things including a roller cart to bring across the street to the beach). We used the BBQ and pool almost every day. It was central to everything. The in-unit laundry was a bonus as well!! To top it off, Duane and Cheri were incredibly helpful and responsive. Thank you so much!!! If you don’t book this property, I guarantee you will regret it.

Beautiful home

The pool area was amazing, your own oasis. The condo was beautiful, the pictures doesn't so it justice. Full of beach equipment, towels and everything else like TP.

Ideal location

Within eyesight of snorkel/surf beach at Kahalu'u. Close to shopping and restaurants, but far enough away from downtown so as not to feel crowded. Sunsets every night were spectacular. Whales and dolphins cruised by almost every evening we were there. Pool was just perfect for late afternoon cooldowns. and the AC made the inside living area perfectly comfortable.....when we weren't out on the deck enjoying the killer view. We loved it.

Absolutely perfect!!!

The condo was an absolute gem for our vacation. The balcony offered breathtaking views of the bay, especially during sunset, creating a truly magical atmosphere. Everything we needed was provided in the unit, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location was perfect for surfing and snorkeling enthusiasts, with easy access to these activities within walking distance. The pool was a major highlight for my kids, offering endless fun and relaxation. It served as a fantastic home base for exploring other adventures around the island. Overall, our experience was beyond wonderful, and we can't wait to return!

Fantastic location and view

What a wonderful gem! We took our adult kids with us for Christmas week and stayed in this condo. The kitchen was well equipped and the beach amenities were a hit. We had a wonderful day trip to the volcano park. The beach across the street was amazing and a short walk to surf or snorkel. The owner was super responsive!

Homey base for snorkeling

We were happy to be away from the hustle and bustle of town, yet close enough to drive in for a dinner. Also close to other restaurants that didn’t require paid or comp’d parking. Home was clean and sunny and well loved. Better weather would have encouraged us to check out the pool but it was great having the surfers and sunset to watch from the third floor lanai!

Perfect family retreat

Clean and spacious apartment right next to some great snorkeling. Tidepools there were perfect for our toddler to splash around. We used the pool and BBQ multiple days and watched the sunset. The road out front is busy, but it's a very convenient location for day trips

Beautiful view of water, condo was extremely well supplied, clean, comfortable, good amount of space, on top floor of 3 story building. Wonderful beach across the road, a 4 minute walk (along ocassionally busy street) to get to main snorkeling area which itself was quite nice. Dedicated parking space but tight to navigate for larger vehicles. Hosts were responsive. Would book again. Highly recommend.

Location! Location! Location! If you are on the Big Island for snorkeling and beaches like us, you will like this place. It is just a 5-minute walk to Kahaluʻu Beach, 20 minutes driving to two steps and Captain Cook. The house has everything you need, from snorkeling gear, boogie boards, noodles, and life jackets to beach chairs. Well-equipped Kitchen. We cooked breakfast and dinner every day. The owner is very easy to communicate with. He also checked in with you before, during, and after your trip. We would love to come back next time.

Beautiful sunset views, view of surfers, close to best snorkeling. They have everything you need: fully equipped kitchen, some basic condiments, all the beach and picnic items you would need - beach chairs, umbrellas, boards, cooler, towels, etc. Owners are quick to respond and care about your stay. Will stay again.

Perfect place! Great stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at this comfortable two bedroom unit. After having stayed at a hotel in Honolulu and another on the Big Island for a family wedding, this condo was the relaxing change of pace we wanted for our last week in Hawaii. Everything was sparkling clean and as described when we arrived. My husband loved cooking in the well appointed kitchen that had everything we needed and more. One of our favourite things was enjoying our morning coffee on the lanai while watching the surfers in the ocean across the street. The view is perfect for watching the waves roll in or beautiful sunsets. It was great having the snorkelling equipment and boogie boards that could be used just down the street at Kahalu’u Beach Park. You can buy groceries nearby at the shopping centre if you have a car or hop on the Kona Trolley which is free to ride. The outdoor barbecue and pool area are beautifully landscaped and in between sightseeing and beach activities, we spent many hours floating in the pool which we had all to ourselves more than once. Duane was easy to work with and responded to questions quickly if we had any. All in all, we had a wonderful time and would love to come back again sometime.

Great apartment

Apartment is on 3rd floor with a balcony facing the ocean with an ocean view of surfing, snorkeling and sunsets. Property also has a nice little pool to play in. We would definitely try to stay there again next time in Kona.

Snorkel Beach

The place was well stocked with beach chairs, beach umbrellas, ice chest, boogie boards, and towels. The owners are responsive and kind. The beach has great snorkeling. Magic Sand beach is just .9 mile away and has beautiful sand.

Home away from home

We love it here! It was our third time at this place. We love that it has a pool and is so close to such great snorkeling. The view is amazing, lovely for staying in on nights or evenings where you need to rest. We played games and just enjoyed a slower pace. Wonderful memories.

Great Location and Vacation

The condo was perfect for our vacation. It had a great view of the bay that had both surfing and snorkeling. Both of which were within walking distance. The condo included a pool that both my 7 and 8 year old kids thoroughly enjoyed. It was also a great place to base ourselves out of for other adventures around the island.

Excellent condo

We had a fantastic time at the condo. Duane is a great host. Location of condo is simply perfect - it has beautiful ocean beach and beach view. Had a very comfortable stay, proximity of shops & restaurants . The condo has snorkeling gear and Surf boards. Will definitely recommend this condo for stay.

Amazing views

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was as described. The owners were easy to work with and responded quickly to every question. The location was great. The beach nearby was great for the family and having all the supplies made it super easy to enjoy the beach. We also used enjoyed a day at the pool one day. We highly recommend staying here!!

We have been to every Island many times but we decided to buy here on the Big Island. We have enjoyed our place and try to visit as many times as possible. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

Why they chose this property

We love the beautiful location. Right across from the best Snorkel Beach at Kahaluu bay. We have a great view of the bay and the surfers. During the winter season we can see the whales breaching. We added a spotting scope to see them even better.

We have snorkel gear and a surf board. All you have to do is walk across the street. We have beach chairs, towels and ice chest if you don't want to get in the warm tropical water.
